The Hart Memorial Cup Men's tournament begins today with two of the
three divisions having first round matches. Ring of Honor returns to
the Du Burns Arena in Baltimore, while WWE will be in Kansas City
later.

Two changes in the field. Mike Mondo has been scratched due to an
injury, and replaced by Roderick Strong, meaning a rematch from Border
Wars vs. Mike Bennett. SCUM member Jimmy Rave is out, due to a medical
issue, and replaced by Cliff Compton.

1st round results-winners advance to Detroit next week:

1. Jay Briscoe def. Rhett Titus in 7:55 with the Jay Driller.
2. ACH def. Matt Taven-DQ in 6:56 due to Taven using the Book of
Truth.
3. Tadarius Thomas def. Cliff Compton in 9:40 with a reverse cradle
after Compton got caught using the tights.
4. Adam Cole def. QT Marshall in 8:40 with the Florida Key.
5. Kevin Steen def. Steve Corino in 8:00 with the package piledriver.
6. Jay Lethal def. Matt Hardy in 7:40 when he reversed the Twist of
Fate into a Lethal Combination, ending SCUM's chances of winning the
tournament.
7. Roderick Strong def. Mike Bennett via submission with the
Stronghold (Boston Crab) in 8:41.
8. B. J. Whitmer def. Mark Briscoe via judges' decision after a 10:00
draw. Nigel McGuinness scored it in favor of Whitmer, as did Lance
Storm. Former ref Nick Patrick favored Briscoe.

Advancing to Detroit:

J. Briscoe vs. Whitmer.
ACH vs. Strong.
Thomas vs. Lethal.
Cole vs. Steen.

Also: reDRagon def. the Young Bucks in 16:50 with Kyle O'Reilly
submitting Matt Jackson with the anklelock, and Michael Elgin def.
Rhino after the Elginbomb in 8:50.

WWE in Kansas City:

1. Big Show def. Corey Graves-KO, 4:50.
2. Kofi Kingston def. Seth Rollins-DQ, 9:00, when Dean Ambrose & Roman
Reigns interfered. Because this match took place first, Ambrose &
Reigns were disqualified from the tournament, creating new matchups.
3. Wade Barrett def. Zack Ryder via the Bullhammer at 5:50.
4. Kane def. Cody Rhodes (replacing Ambrose) in 8:40 with the
chokeslam.
12.. Jack Swagger def. Big E. Langston in 8:40 with the Stars &
Stripes powerbomb (gutwrench into a power bomb, Swagger's original
finisher).

6. Alberto Del Rio def. Damien Sandow via submission with the cross-
armbreaker at 7:20.
10. Mark Henry def. Sheamus with the World's Strongest Slam at 8:40.
8. Randy Orton def. Darren Young (replacing Reigns) in 5:05 with the
RKO.

Advancing to Detroit:

Show-Orton.
Kingston-Henry.
Barrett-Del Rio.
Kane-Swagger.

Also:

Divas title: Kaitlyn def. the Bella Twins in a handicap match via DQ
in 4:45. Two referees were assigned to this match. John Cone inside
the ring, and Charles Robinson on the floor, to ensure the twins
didn't make an illegal substitution. They did, anyway, at the 4:15
mark, and Brie rolled up Kaitlyn, but Robinson signalled that there
was no tag. The twins then double-teamed Kaitlyn and ignored the 5
count, leading to the DQ. Marie Hunter then came out to make the save.
Kaitlyn speared Nikki, while Marie laid out Brie with the Sweet
Dreams.

TNA's 1st round matches will be tomorrow in Nashville.
