From Tulsa:
The Prime Time Players were disqualified vs. Tons of Funk for Darren
Young using his comb (called a hair pick) as an illegal weapon. Video
review off-air led to the reverse-decision. Meanwhile, Commissioner
Jack Hunter was on the cellphone. That could only mean one
thing........
After Raw "officially" went off the air, there was 2:00 of dead air.
Then, a short video played, with Jack narrating.
"The WWE tries to present the best, most entertaining show each week
for our fans. Sometimes, things don't go the way they should, and
that's when I go to work. We want to make sure we leave smiles on
everyone's faces, including our viewers at home. To accomplish that
goal, we're going the extra mile.........NOW."
Back to Michael Cole, JBL, & Jerry Lawler at the desk. "Raw Extra" has
the following matches (NCIS: LA is pre-empted):
1. Fandango & Summer Rae vs. Chris Jericho & Layla. It's Summer's 1st
match on Raw, and Cole acknowledges she's been training at NXT.
2. Tons of Funk vs. Prime Time Players, take 2.
3. AJ Lee & Big E Langston vs. Jack Swagger and a partner to be named.
4. The Shield vs. Jack Hunter and ?????? in a 6-man elimination match
in the cage.
JBL says that Hunter is out of his element this time. Lawler
disagrees, and says the Shield brought this on themselves with the
DQ's earlier.
1. Tons of Funk def. Prime Time Players in 3:55 when Young was pinned
via a double splash. Protracted squash. In commentary, Lawler said
that next time, Young should leave his comb in the locker room where
it belongs.
Jack is interviewed by Matt Striker. We're about to find out who his
partners are when he hears his daughter, Marie, screaming. The camera
follows Jack to the stage, where Zeb Colter has "conscripted" Marie to
be Jack Swagger's tag team partner. One superkick later, Colter is
out, and Marie is headed back to the locker room. Swagger is directed
to the ring, as Colter is removed.
2. Big E Langston def. Jack Swagger in 4:53 when Langston got the win
back with the Big Ending. It was ruled that since Swagger couldn't
find a partner in time, and Colter had forced his way into the divas'
locker room, this would be the 2nd rematch of the night (Swagger won
by countout earlier). It was later announced that Colter would be
banned from ringside at Extreme Rules.
3. Chris Jericho & Layla def. Fandango & Summer Rae in 2:30 when Layla
pinned Summer after the Lay-Out. Protracted squash #2.
Marie Hunter interview. Colter broke into the locker room and grabbed
her because he knew none of the other divas wanted to team with
Swagger and put up with "an outdated political agenda", and by taking
her, he'd intended to send a message to her father. That message was
sent right back, and on Smackdown, Colter & Swagger will answer to
Force Majeure!
Jack, meanwhile, is in the locker room, preaching about "unfinished
business" vs. the Shield. The guests? Ryback, who'd wrestled earlier,
and Big Show.
JH (to Ryback): I get that you've made the WWE title top priority, but
there's still a part of you that wants to clear the books on the
Shield, after they cost you the title more than once. There's still
the daunting prospect that they'll disrupt your title match vs. John
Cena at Extreme Rules, and they won't discriminate.
R: What makes you think I care? What makes you think I give a damn?
BS: I'll tell you. It takes those three to do what any one of us can
do by ourselves. Jack & I have both been in the ring with Cena. We
know what he's capable of when his back is against the wall. We saw
how the Shield ignored the rules earlier. This time, there is no
escape.
R: What's in it for you?
BS: It's like Jack said. It's about wiping the slate clean before I
face Randy Orton at Extreme Rules. As part of the deal, I step back in
line for the World title, right behind the winner of Swagger vs. Del
Rio on Sunday. I'm a businessman. He's a businessman. We have a mutual
understanding.
JH: And I chose you, Ryback, because you've been the most adversely
affected by the Shield. You were their first victim. In order to enter
your title match on Sunday, you have to not only be focused on Cena,
but wary of the possibility of the Shield and their agenda getting in
the way. This way, that road is cleared for you.
Ryback leaves. Show & Jack shake their heads.
BS: He's not a businessman. (fade)
4. Big Show & Jack Hunter & Triple H (replacing Ryback) def. the
Shield, 3-0, in the cage. Order of elimination.
1st fall: Hunter pinned Roman Reigns at 6:50 when the Nightmare Plunge
powerbomb. Security escorted a reluctant Reigns out of the arena in
handcuffs (Hunter's orders).
2nd fall: HHH pinned Seth Rollins after the pedigree at 14:44.
3rd fall: Big Show KO'd Dean Ambrose to end it at 16:55.
It was announced after that the winner of Swagger-Del Rio at Extreme
Rules would be in a triple threat vs. Show & Dolph Ziggler, and that
would also be an elimination match, likely to take place within 30
days of Extreme Rules.
