Why do people even bother to download it from the website when if you
already have 1.42 you run the updater and it updates itself to 1.43?
Initially the go fetch via the app didn't work

Want a fresh install ?

There is no such thing as a shareware version of Malwarebytes. It's always
been free for non commercial home use; The only difference between the paid
and free "versions" is the IP blocking and protection module features. If
you want those, we kindly ask you pay for them. Otherwise, use the program
as much as you like, for free; no trial, no time limits, no nag screens. No
"shareware".

It's ok as mine updated itself to 1.43 fine. I'm using the free version
though.

I do, and thank you kindly for such a good and free app. :)
Thanks, this has been established, after a period of dismay >

I get reports from many people that your link from CNET is confusing and
many people download the crap they put around your product instead of
MBAM. I can't tell you how many, dozens, of people that have downloaded
the wrong thing from the CNET site thinking they were getting MBAM....
Just a heads up.

Yes. I know. Apologies for the confusion. The individuals responsible
shall be flogged forthwith! :)

Sadly, we are aware of this. I'm sure someone is working on it. :)

Did you intend to respond to me here? Our IP blocking doesn't use a hosts
file; so, yea, I have to deny that it would.
