Well that was fun while it lasted. May we ask why?
Don't be a stranger!

Only one reason; email. The service I'm using just doesn't cut it
and it was dropping emails too much.

Mixminion would solve that deal right off the bat. I joined the
mailing list and waiting for everyone to come out of silent prayer
mode before I make any noise.

Gonna keep that going. I modified the script a little so you can
post through the mixminion network. Put the headers at the top of
your post (newsgroups, subject, references, etc) and send mail to
mail...@tioat.net with the mixminion client. You can use that
method if your email client doesn't allow adding headers. The
headers in the post body will override the other headers so no need
to change your working email address.

This is an obvious test, via mixminion and tioat m2n. Let's see what results.

Cool. How many groups do you allow?

This one exits through nefarion. Does it strip out the disclaimer?

The m2n script feeds into the news server and all the filtering is
done with cleanfeed which is mostly default settings. Except <g> for
the maxgroups setting that I bumped up to 9 max.

I see two posts here that look the same and I'm hoping that was
intentional. Each post coming in will get its own message id so
dupes might be a problem. I'll worry about that later.

Yes; everything above and below the begin and end TYPE III lines
gets skipped. I'm hoping that's not a problem. It was easier to do
it that way.

Yes, that was...unintentionally intentional. I goofed and sent it twice, so
it was me not you. I note that one can use a custom From in the body as long
as the address ends with "@not-for-mail.invalid"
And it strips out disclaimers!
Kudos on this interesting twist to an m2n.
Via nefarion...

Great, thanks.

Dupes should just be rejected when using IHAVE.

And @anonymous.invalid or @invalid.invalid, @example.invalid,
@nobody.invalid, @nospam.invalid and a few others. The abuse
complaints about forging email addresses were starting to annoy me
so I tried to come up with something that would let me keep the
server open and at the same time stop the harassment going on.

If you would like to use something else let me know. As long as it
doesn't look like a common domain it shouldn't be a problem.

Here's a list of the headers that you can add:
Newsgroups:
Followup-To:
From:
Subject:
Organization:
References:
In-Reply-To:
Content-Type:
Content-Transfer-Encoding:
X-No-Archive:

They can be in any order or even blank.
