I bet any candidate out there that runs on such platform would make it
all the way to the White House. The Christians are low on social
issues, but high on faith issues, so there's a hint for the next
president.

Then proclaim this a Christian Republic, and bring back the
Inquisition!

I would run on a platform of free bananas for the monkeys, but there
are fewer monkeys than sheep.

But the monkeys are smarter and more well-informed.

Trouble is God doesn't like smart monkeys. ;)

Look what this guy has to do about the Christians and Single Payer.
Funny thing is... HE'S A CHRISTIAN RUNNING FOR CONGRESS!

More observations of Christians opposing single-payer and other
healthcare reforms

I've observed many Christians opposing healthcare reforms, especially
single-payer. Many say "We have the world's best health care, why
tamper with that?" Actually, we are 37th from being the world's best.
Yes, we have the world's best care for the filthy rich.

I am a born-again Christian. You may even be surprised to find a
Christian who supports single-payer HR-676. All Christians are
Republicans; I guess I am and I'm not a Republican. I have voted for
Bush in 2000, but not 2004. In all honesty, I can not be a Christian,
knowing what I know, and stand up for our current barbaric type of
healthcare system. Furthermore, we don't even have a healthcare
system, we have a disease control system. We have a business system
that makes money off of sick people.

Many Christians say we can't have universal healthcare because we'll
have free abortions. In all honesty; I don't see how shunning
universal healthcare will prevent any abortions. I am also afraid that
the rate of illegal abortions that put the woman's life in danger will
skyrocket, because of people unable to afford insurance fearful they
can't afford the medical costs associated with regular pregnancies and
pregnancies with complications, or provide healthcare to the child.

Sorry, the entire Christian summary is "love one another as God loves us".

If it wasn't for Christians, the socially deprived would stay that way.

Remember, not so much as one atheist organization came forward to help the
victims of Katrina. It was a heavily Christian effort.

You mean the chief of the tribe and supreme warrior?

At least I would choose a real Christian like Kucinich or none at all!
Better than that you have to wait for the revolution...

'As for, "If we have universal healthcare we'll have free abortions
and abortions will skyrocket." I really believe the very opposite is
true. Our current cut-throat type of healthcare is severely
undermining the morality of this nation, especially of those who
seemingly can take having health insurance for granted. This system is
training people to disregard human life; this is eroding away at the
nations morals. This is what will cause abortions and euthanasia
skyrocket. Our morally degrading barbaric healthcare system doesn't
make anybody a stronger Christian. I just about say, no real Christian
can support the American for-profit healthcare; but I realize they
were fooled by lies told by the insurance companies.

Some time back I wrote an essay "Why I Believe Christians Should Call
For Healthcare Reforms." I have also placed it in one of the
discussions.

My purpose of this discussion, or my involvement in this ning is not
to discuss what is wrong with abortion. I believe abortion is wrong;
but YOU follow your conscience on what you believe to be right or
wrong. I have wrote a song; seems to talk against abortion; but the
purpose is not to kick those who are pro-choice (abortion is okay);
but to kick butt with those who are pro-life (against abortion), like
hey brother, I agree with your stand! But, when someone dies because
they lack health insurance this is abortion; too. I will attach the
lyrics.'

It was also a Christian president who abandoned them. Everybody knew
it would happen, but your president chose to blow the money in wars.
And he also denied healthcare to all children, and you stayed silent
like the THREE WISE MONKEYS.

You Christians are always so much better in the handouts than in the
prevention. Which is why we need some HUMANIST government, and you
keep your low profile in the repartition of the scraps.

That's what I say too, but they hate me for that...

HOW THE BLACK SHEEP WAS EXPELLED

One day the Lion, who had been thinking how to best eat the sheep,
decided to dress as one of them... This way the common sheep trusted
the new sheep more and more every day, some confessing to him, others
voting for him, and most allowing to be fleeced by him...

Meanwhile, the Black Sheep --who was able to see through camouflage--
thought this way: "If he lies, and takes the lion's share, lion he
is..."

And that's the reason why from then on the Black Sheep wasn't allowed
to mingle anymore with the simple and common sheep...

I loved that! If there's a god, the thing he would like the least is a
hypocrite. Particularly if he voted for Bush. ;)

The Republican view of that Christian summary is "don't get in the way
of Republican profiteers.
'.

Since Christians are still nominally in the majority in the US, the fact
that there still are any socially deprived shown the failure of
Christianity there.

The supposedly Christian and certainly Republican U.S. government
totally failed both to prepare for the problem adequately, though the
danger was well known well before the event itself, and to deal with the
disaster effectively once it had occurred.
