The gold bubble will burst when the dollar stabilizes. If you're
shorting gold,
pray for my bill in the Financial Services committee.

I've been thinking the same thing myself. It's only a matter of time.

I vividly remember the Hunt brothers trying to corner the silver market
back in the 1980s. A commercial photo lab that I was associated with made
a killing before the market collapsed. And then there was the poor schlep
that I knew who dediced to get a hedge on his savings by buying gold at
like $800 an ounce. I sure hope he's kept it all this time.
You're your own best argument on that one.
Nah..
The Hindus just snapped up 20 million ounces of gold last week.
The commie chinese are doing much the same; dollars to gold.
Bush and the neocons created so much instability in the US economy
that a lot of countries are dumping over-printed dollars for real
goods.
And more will be doing so in the near future.
That's what you get when you allow former employees of JP Morgan to
run a *private* 'Federal' Reserve - instead of letting congress run a
government controlled Central Bank.
PS: The only way to see an economic recovery, is to let americans have
jobs.

Two monkeys flinging crap around doesn't mean one of them is right.

With what? bullshit?
LOL! Can you say hypocrite?
Isn't that how /all/ usenet arguments are won? ;\
The Federal reserve has increased the money supply from $800 billion
to two trillion since last fall. If gold were valued at its true
historical relationship to the dollar, the price could soar to as high
as $15,000 an ounce. IOW, the reson for the increase in the price of
gold is due to its being woefully undervalued.
Although gold has increased dramatically, it is only in the beginning
of its upward trend.

Its all a matter of probabilities.
Probably.
And lets leave my fallas out of this, eh? %\

The difficulty here is that so much gold is held simply by
governments to hold gold, and similarly by individuals, that it
isn't clear what it's market price should be. Supply is certainly
constrained, at least from what I've read. And people do worry
about the debt held by countries much larger than Dubai. But
because there isn't really a market price for gold, that could turn
in an instant.
> Kind of like real-estate prices in 2006.

You can see what something is worth by just looking at what it
costs to make another similar thing. That isn't so easy with gold
because of the large stockpiles and the constrained ability to
produce more product. But that's not true with a house. if a house
costs $250,000 in labour and materials to build, it really isn't
likely worth $650,000.

That's probably a mistake. Who is loaning money to buy gold to
people who have nothing to collateralize it with? I'd like to short
them up good.

What I hate about flip flops is the flip and the flop.
Right....like you don't have a college degree.
Waitasecond, reading your comments....maybe you don't.
Ahhhh, yes, your modern education shines through...nice list you
provide.
No, only the ones that reichtards claim to have "won." Liberals try to
use logic, but that's clearly laden with a liberal bias anyway.

One thing you USAians need to get straight, is that you don't have
anything leftish in your country, only degrees of how far to the right
something is. Similarly, you don't have anything "liberal". Thats just
the output of media machines owned by those who benefit from the
artificial divide-and-rule caused by such concepts.
There is, and always has been, only those on top, and those getting
screwed over. The rest is ALL bullshit. Even what you just said. ;)
