By Guy Benson

A damaging Friday news dump before a holiday weekend? Who
could have seen that coming? Dump away, Justice
Department: The Justice Department said on Friday that
officials up to Attorney General Eric Holder vetted a
decision to search an email account belonging to a Fox
News reporter whose report on North Korea prompted a leak
investigation. In a statement emailed to Reuters, the
department said the search warrant for the reporter's
email account followed all laws and policies and won the
independent approval of a federal magistrate judge. We're
apparently supposed to feel better about everything
because the DOJ "followed . . .

I believe this shows incompetence on the part of Holder, and
damages the Party.

I'd say throw him under the bus - but he's the first Black US Attny
General and I'm not sure that wouldn't bring bad karma.

He should have known this other thing would come out that contradicts his
Congressional testimony. It's not a big deal, but what if he makes
_bigger_ slips? Can he really be trusted? Also, little people are
probably criminally convicted for less. It's simply bad PR, and politics.

Possibly, next time he should simply declare innocence and plead the
fifth or something. Or, let the Congress know we've got their emails,
phone calls and IRS returns. They may not ask him to testify again then.

Holder simply CANNOT be trusted by the Party not to make more slips.

Perhaps, he can retire voluntarily for some reason/etc.. Some plausible
excuse.. Replace him with another first Black Attorney General.

If he's no longer Attorney General, he can declare innocence and refuse
to testify if called before Congress. The political fallout won't be so
much.

To encourage him to do this, the IRS could give him zero taxes for the
next ten years.
