BORN IN THE USA?
Congressman eyes lawsuit over president's eligibility
Republican finds birth certificate sizzling topic at Arizona town hall
August 23, 2009

WASHINGTON U.S. Rep. Trent Franks, R-Arizona, told a townhall
meeting in Kingman yesterday he is considering a lawsuit to establish
Barack Obama's eligibility for the presidency.

Franks said there is conflicting evidence on the question of Obama's
status as a "natural born citizen."

His allusion to the possibility of a lawsuit forcing release of
Obama's original, long-form birth certificate is as far as any member
of Congress has gone on this issue.

The eligibility issue was one of the hottest topics at the town hall
meeting that included concerns about national defense, stimulus
spending, health-care bills and the "cash-for-clunkers" program.

Franks said it would take 34,000 years to pay off the indebtedness
incurred by the Obama administration.

Some 950 people attended the boisterous event in a local church.

WND has reported on dozens of legal challenges to Obama's status as a
"natural born citizen." The Constitution, Article 2, Section 1,
states, "No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the
United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall
be eligible to the Office of President."

Some of the lawsuits question whether he was actually born in Hawaii,
as he insists. If he was born out of the country, Obama's American
mother, the suits contend, was too young at the time of his birth to
confer American citizenship to her son under the law at the time.

Other challenges have focused on Obama's citizenship through his
father, a Kenyan subject to the jurisdiction of the United Kingdom at
the time of his birth, thus making him a dual citizen. The cases
contend the framers of the Constitution excluded dual citizens from
qualifying as natural born.

Complicating the situation is Obama's decision to spend sums estimated
in the hundreds of thousands of dollars to avoid releasing a state
birth certificate that would put to rest all of the questions.

WND has reported that among the documentation not yet available for
Obama includes his kindergarten records, his Punahou school records,
his Occidental College records, his Columbia University records, his
Columbia thesis, his Harvard Law School records, his Harvard Law
Review articles, his scholarly articles from the University of
Chicago, his passport, his medical records, his files from his years
as an Illinois state senator, his Illinois State Bar Association
records, any baptism records, and his adoption records.

"Where's The Birth Certificate?" billboard helps light up the night at
the Mandalay Bay resort on the Las Vegas Strip.

Because of the dearth of information about Obama's eligibility, WND
founder Joseph Farah has launched a campaign to raise contributions to
post billboards asking a simple question: "Where's the birth
certificate?"

The campaign followed a petition that has collected over 450,000
signatures demanding proof of his eligibility, the availability of
yard signs raising the question and the production of permanent,
detachable magnetic bumper stickers asking the question.

The "certification of live birth" posted online and widely touted as
"Obama's birth certificate" does not in any way prove he was born in
Hawaii, since the same "short-form" document is easily obtainable for
children not born in Hawaii. The true "long-form" birth certificate
which includes information such as the name of the birth hospital and
attending physician is the only document that can prove Obama was
born in Hawaii, but to date he has not permitted its release for
public or press scrutiny.

Oddly, though congressional hearings were held to determine whether
Sen. John McCain was constitutionally eligible to be president as a
"natural born citizen," no controlling legal authority ever sought to
verify Obama's claim to a Hawaiian birth.

Your donation from as little as $5 to as much as $1,000 can be
made online at the WND SuperStore. (Donations are not tax-deductible.
Donations of amounts greater than $1,000 can be arranged by calling
either 541-474-1776 or 1-800-4WND.COM. If you would prefer to mail in
your contributions, they should be directed to WND, P.O. Box 1627,
Medford, Oregon, 97501. Be sure to specify the purpose of the donation
by writing "billboard" on the check. In addition, donations of
billboard space will be accepted, as will significant contributions
specifically targeted for geographic locations.)

If you are a member of the media and would like to interview Joseph
Farah about this campaign, e-mail WND.

Hmmm -- I see -- we need donations.

And -- here's a bit of advice: Don't hold your breath for the
Congresscritter to file a suit.

Franks is a nice guy. He always reads my signs, and we've only
recently
had a pattern of being in agreement. He also is a post-Iraq
Republican,
i.e. he wasn't around yet for the vote on PL 107-243, so my proposed
Amendment doesn't fire him, like it does Biden, Clinton, Leiberman,
Boehner, Reid, Hoyer, etc.

What they're really probably hiding, though, is that Bambam joined
the
Senate and entered the Oval Office on an Indonesian passport.
obamacrimes.com is Berg's own site, I believe.

Franks' website says he is a Reagan Republican, which is tragic, but
hey,
this natural born thing is pretty simple.

You've told me one useful fact.
You told me Kerry's family, the Forbes branch, is an opium

like to share before you're the star of Nuremberg II?

And by the way, the world has clearly reacted to the opinions
of a credible American on several occasions. The world understands
that any credible American would be standing in front of the
White House with a sign calling for the arrest of GW Bush.

The United States (U.S.), although a signatory to the Kyoto Protocol,
has neither ratified nor withdrawn from the Protocol. The signature
alone is merely symbolic, as the Kyoto Protocol is non-binding on the
United States unless ratified.

The US has signed the CTBT, but not ratified it. On 13 October 1999,
the United States Senate rejected ratification of the CTBT.

Oops! Caught LYING, again:

After the dissolution of the Soviet Union in December 1991 the status
of the treaty became unclear, debated by members of Congress and
professors of law. In 1997, a memorandum of understanding between the
US and four of the former USSR states was signed and subject to
ratification by each signatory, however it was not presented to the US
Senate for advice and consent by Bill Clinton.

The Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons, also Nuclear
Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT or NNPT) is a treaty to limit the spread
of nuclear weapons, opened for signature on July 1, 1968. There are
currently 189 countries party to the treaty, five of which have
nuclear weapons: the United States, the United Kingdom, France,
Russia, and the People's Republic of China (the permanent members of
the UN Security Council).

International Criminal Court
The court came into being on 1 July 2002 - the date its founding
treaty, the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court, entered
into force - and it can only prosecute crimes committed on or after
that date. As of June 2009... a number of states, including China,
Russia, India and the United States, have not joined.

Although the then U.S. President, Bill Clinton, signed the Rome
Statute of the International Criminal Court in 2000, he stated that
although he would not submit it to the Senate for advice and consent
for ratification until the U.S. government had a chance to assess the
functioning of the court...

[ Nothing of consequence snipped. ]

Less than 24 hours after Franks declared he was considering suing over
Obama's citizenship, he issued a statement claiming that, well, he
thought about it back in 2008 but has changed his mind.

Sorry, LIAR, that NEVER happenned.

1) Franks DID consider filing a lawsuit against Buckwheat during the
2008 campaign.

2) Franks DID NOT hold some kind of press conference to make such an
announcement.

3) Franks DID NOT change his mind 24 hours later.

4) Franks DID NOT issue a statement claiming that he had changed his
mind (for any reason).

5) A spokesperson for Franks recently claimed Franks "thinks a string
of recent rulings against the birther cause in court has rendered
future legal action "moot."

6) Franks MOST RECENT opinion is that Buckwheat should: "produce a
birth certificate."

Go rinse out your mouth.

I'm finished urinating.
