explain why close-ups of Sanchez's face, which he posted, reveal none
of the cuts, bruises and swelling you would expect from supposedly
being repeatedly punched in the face by a policeman. He denies it, of
course, but readers can see for themselves.
PL also cannot explain why Sanchez's story seems to have changed
dramatically after Reuters' originally interviewed her about this
incident -- from "briefly detained" and "no serious injuries" to
"abduction" and "brutal beating!" He suggests the Reuters reporter
simply FORGOT to mention that part, the first time. What a loser.
As we saw at the above mentioned thread, you were once again reduced
to mindlessly repeating your failed lies and arguments, desperately
hoping that no one had noticed. If you have nothing new and relevant

(Washington, DC) � Cuban authorities should cease all attacks on human
rights defenders, journalists, bloggers and civic activists, Human
Rights Watch said today. The international community should condemn
attacks on those who peacefully exercise their basic rights to freedom
of expression, opinion, and assembly in the strongest terms.
On November 6, Cuba's most prominent blogger, Yoani S�nchez, together
with blogger Orlando Lu�s Pardo Lazo, were abducted by three men.
S�nchez and Pardo were forced into an unmarked vehicle, beaten, and
threatened by their captors before being released onto the street.
"The Cuban authorities are using brute force to try to silence Yoani
S�nchez's only weapon: her ideas," said Jos� Miguel Vivanco, Americas
director of Human Rights Watch. "The international community must send a
firm message to Raul Castro that such attacks on independent voices are
completely unacceptable."
S�nchez and Pardo had been walking to attend a "march against violence"
in Havana when they were abducted. When S�nchez called for help and
bystanders started to intervene, one of the captors warned the other
civilians, "Don't get involved, these people are counterrevolutionaries."
S�nchez wrote that, while in the car, "one man put his knee on my chest
and the other, from the seat next to me, was punching me in the face."
The captors told Sanchez that her "clowning around" was finished.
Cuba is the only country in the region that continues to repress
virtually all forms of political dissent.
"This brazen attack makes clear that no one in Cuba who voices dissent
is safe from violent reprisals," said Vivanco.

La bloguera Yoani S�nchez, ganadora de varios premios internacionales,
afirm� que fue retenida este viernes y maltratada por efectivos de la
Seguridad del Estado cuando se dirig�a a una manifestaci�n en favor de
la no violencia, inform� EFE.
En un post publicado en su blog, Generaci�n Y, S�nchez hizo un relato de
los hechos. "Iron�as de la vida, fue una tarde cargada de golpes, gritos
y malas palabras la que debi� transcurrir como una jornada de paz y
concordia", escribi�.
S�nchez dijo en declaraciones a EFE que iba caminando con otros
blogueros por una calle del Vedado, en La Habana, cuando fueron
interceptados por agentes de la Seguridad del Estado que les pidieron
que los acompa�aran. El grupo se neg� y exigi� que les mostraran �rdenes
de arresto.
En respuesta, los polic�as los metieron a la fuerza en dos veh�culos y
los maltrataron "f�sica y verbalmente" antes de dejarlos en otro lugar
de la ciudad veinte minutos despu�s, dijo S�nchez.
"Fui secuestrada al peor estilo siciliano, con violencia verbal, f�sica,
llaves de inmovilidad, rodillazos", relat� S�nchez, de 34 a�os, sobre el
incidente, que fue confirmado por otros blogueros.
"No hab�a oportunidad de resistirse, eran hombres fuertes", afirm�,
seg�n la agencia Reuters.
S�nchez dijo que ella advirti� a las personas que estaban cerca que los
estaban secuestrando, pero los agentes dijeron a los transe�ntes: "Son
contrarrevolucionarios, no se metan".
De acuerdo con lo publicado en Generaci�n Y, la bloguera recibi� "una
andanada de golpes, empujones".
"Me cargaron con la cabeza hacia abajo e intentaron colarme en el carro.
Me aguant� de la puerta� golpes en los nudillos� alcanc� a quitarle un
papel que uno de ellos llevaba en el bolsillo y me lo met� en la boca.
Otra andanada de golpes para que les devolviera el documento", dijo.
Dentro ya estaba el tambi�n bloguero Orlando Luis Pardo Lazo,
"inmovilizado en una llave de k�rate que lo manten�a con la cabeza
pegada al piso. Uno puso su rodilla sobre mi pecho y el otro, desde el
asiento delantero, me daba en la zona de los ri�ones y me golpeaba la
cabeza para que yo abriera la boca y soltara el papel. En un momento,
sent� que no saldr�a nunca de aquel auto", a�adi� S�nchez.
"'Hasta aqu� llegaste Yoani', 'Ya se te acabaron las payasadas' dijo el
que iba sentado al lado del ch�fer y que me halaba el cabello. En el
asiento de atr�s un raro espect�culo transcurr�a: mis piernas hacia
arriba, mi rostro enrojecido por la presi�n y el cuerpo adolorido, al
otro lado estaba Orlando reducido por un profesional de la golpiza. S�lo
acert� a agarrarle a �ste �a trav�s del pantal�n� los test�culos, en un
acto de desespero. Hund� mis u�as, suponiendo que �l iba a seguir
aplastando mi pecho hasta el �ltimo suspiro. 'M�tame ya', le grit�, con
la �ltima inhalaci�n que me quedaba, y el que iba en la parte delantera
le advirti� al m�s joven 'D�jala respirar'", relat�.
La bloguera dijo que no recibi� explicaci�n alguna por el arresto, pero
afirm� que objetivo era evitar que ella y los dem�s blogueros
participaran en la manifestaci�n contra la violencia.
Otra bloguera, Claudia Cadelo, autora de Octavo Cerco, fue obligada a
subir a un veh�culo policial separado y fue liberada ilesa en otra
ubicaci�n.
S�nchez dijo que despu�s de terminado el incidente pens� en su hijo.
"C�mo voy a explicarle todos estos morados. C�mo voy a decirle que vive
en un pa�s donde ocurre esto, c�mo voy a mirarlo y contarle que a su
madre, por escribir un blog y poner sus opiniones en kilobytes, la han
violentado en plena calle".
Cadelo dijo en Twitter que S�nchez tiene "un ojo hinchado, un ri��n
golpeado y morados en las piernas".
Cerca de 60 personas participaron en la manifestaci�n, que es un hecho
inusual en Cuba, y portaban letreros con el lema "No a la violencia.
S�mate".
Dieron vueltas por algunos minutos, no realizaron discursos y se fueron
sin incidentes. Un participante dijo que la marcha no apuntaba a s�lo

Reuters issued was for Sanchez's age. Three days later, they changed
their story completely, based on Sanchez's "new and improved" version
of events, this time including, among other things, a "brutal
beating." Even though it was the same reporter, he makes no mention
whatsoever of the original version of events. IMO, this is a clear
indication of a widespread media cover-up. No one in the capitalist
media or at HRW seemed at all concerned about the complete lack of
physical evidence -- none of the facial cuts, bruises and swelling
that you expect from supposedly being repeatedly punched in the face
