T. Jefferson too?
Both Washington and Jefferson tried growing hemp on their Virginia
farms, with mixed success. Washington used some of what he grew to make
hemp clothing worn by his slaves. However, U.S. hemp exported to Britain
often was of such poor quality that it couldn't be sold, and Washington
was never able to turn a profit on the crop despite sustained effort.
Jefferson also seems to have grown hemp strictly for local consumption,
from which we deduce he couldn't make money at it either. In short, not
only were Washington and Jefferson marijuana farmers, they were
unsuccessful marijuana farmers.

someone asked Cecil this.

you prolly already know that hemp is reputed to be not especially
effective as an intoxicant and even if it WERE...and our founding
fathers were unsuccessful hemp-farmers, i'm sure they wouldn't want
the non-voluntary help to be smoking their clothes in the quarters.
maybe that's why their hemp was considered such low-quality.
too much active ingredient =ed to0 much temptation.

There are a couple of hemp stores around here; they make VERY public
statements that industrial hemp has virtually no delta-9
tetrahydrocanabinol (the stuff that nakes you feel good).

i think it's all a dodge.
these hemp farmers have glints in their eyes.
i think they want to plant the good stuff along with the other stuff
in a camouflage plot.

Yeah, booze kills brain cells and hastens dimentia too. Not to mention
pickling your gizzard. I've smoked pot for over forty years, and
almost everyday this year until I took a little respite from it. You
would think a person would have urges but nope, its dope.
Alot of old raisins turn to pot to quit drinkin' and avoid the DT's
and by golly it works! Activates their brain from all that stinkin'
thinkin' that the rat race produces and they can sleep well without
chemical induction and makes them shit good likewise.
The booze lobby won't "allow" for the legalization of it because they
know the raisins will turn to it in a flash and their goes the profits
up in smoke!

The use of the verb "think" above is obviously incorrect.

I.e., "without seeds."

Yep! In the American tradition, it gets spelled in any of the possible
ways it can to produce the correct sound.
