Since he is going to lose in 2012 anyways, why doesn't Obama kill this
mess now and not destroy the health care system and economy at the
same time?

It appears that Rasmussen has finally discarded any pretense of
objectivity in its effort to defeat Barak Obama and health care reform.
Rasmussen joins the ranks of Faux News and NewsMax as right winged crank
case opinion merchants.

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/polls/

The last time I looked the numbers form Rasmussen had Obama at minus 1
and all the rest were positive. Since Obama went on record as to his
correct opinion regarding Faux News the negative slant of Rasmussen has
increased considerably.

I know it has nothing to do with what you write or say. Instead of
making a jerk out of yourself here, go back to seeing what the Cookie
Monster did today.

You mean, anyone who believes the most accurate pollster in the last
election?

I love the left--Rasmussen, FNC, anyone who doesn't parrot their
b******* is somehow inaccurate or biased.

The latest pool show that a large majority want public option:

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/06/17/obama-boost-new-poll-show_n_217175.html

Indeed, the opponents of public option are out of touch with the
American people, and they promote their own delusional belief. Get a
hint and face the truth. People want to get health care they need and
deserve not to suffer and die in pain in order to provide more casino
tokens to a few billionaires.

The reason why so many (including myself) are disappointed with Obama
and Democrat congress is because they
are not acting strong and fast enough. They agreed to too many
concessions for the criminal insurance industry, did not put in jail
the robbery barons CEOs from financial industry and still try to
compromise with fundamentalist fanatic right.

Any mentally sane American want public option.

Based on your statements of "not acting fast enough"-when they tried
to do this in weeks with no debate; your thinking that somehow
"binnionares are ripping the USA off"; and thinking the dems have
accepted "republican concessions" when they have barely met with
republicans I wouldn't mention "sanity" as you have little if any.

WE DON' T WANT THE GOVERNMENT IN HEALTH CARE! NO PUBLIC OPTION!!!

In just a year Obama becomes a lame-duck when the GOP retakes
congress, lets hope that is not too late!

There will always be a minority willing to disregard the facts and
believe in a delusional religion.

Some of them are suicide bombers strongly believing that Allah told
them to murder innocents.
Some of them were willing to murder millions of Jews for their
delusional belief that their race is superior to everybody else.
Some of them are willing to murder thousands and thousands of
Americans every year for their delusional belief in "No government in
health care".

However, they are MINORITY.
The MAJORITY want accessible and affordable health care. And the
majority understand that in a hundred of years the private insurers
failed to cover everybody for affordable prices.

Albert Einstein once said that only a mad man try over and over again
the same thing expecting different results.
For hundred of years the private sector failed to deliver affordable
coverage for all. It is time for a change.

No mentally sane can believe anymore that letting the private insurers
alone, driven by the same hundred year old greed, can solve the
coverage problem. It failed for 100 years in a row over and over
again. It is time to stop the insanity.

Tried to do WHAT with no debate? Be precise, bubbles. Tell us exactly
what they tried to do without legislation.

your thinking that somehow "binnionares

This would be the same crowd that offered to voluntarily cut profits by
$800 billion if Congress would refuse to consider a strong public option.

It's pretty hard to debate something in Congress without running into a
Republican or two along the way. Granted, they aren't as common as they
used to be, but there's still some around.

> WE DON' T WANT THE GOVERNMENT IN HEALTH CARE! NO PUBLIC OPTION!!!

So does this mean you want to shut down Medicare and the VA, too?

Let's see: self-identified Republicans now make up just 20% of voters.
You're just going to have to pray for a really, really low voter turnout
next fall.

The poor have health care. Some thru their employer, some thru
medicaid. Decent people don't want to destroy a good health care
system to give free care to illegal aliens and destroy insurance
companies just because they make more profit than socialist Obama
thinks they should.

How dumb must one be to believe that anyone not endorsing robbery it
is a socialist ?
The world it is not in black and while only. There are gray shadows
and there are colors too.

There are things that work better as a private enterprise and there
are things that work better as a public service.
Only a fundamentalist braindamaged socialist will want everything
including beer production, tobacco industry, casinos and strip clubs
to become a public service free for all.
Only an equally (or worst) braindamaged libertarian will want
everything including health care, education, law enforcement or social
assistance to become for profit, market driven businesses.

A mentally sane person will want to find the optimal balance, the one
who maximize the benefit for the society as a whole not only for a
small number of individuals while doing harm to everybody else.

For a century we have proof that free-market, for profit driven
insurance industry ALWAYS FAILED to provide decent access to health
care bottom half of the population. For over half of century we also
have Western European experience showing very clearly that a public
health care system deliver much better care for all at a much lower
cost than what free market will ever be able to achieve.

In this condition, there are only 2 category of people opposing a
public health insurance system:
- Criminals more interested in their profits than in human life
- Delusional idiots who reject the reality and keep believing into
false mythologies
