"One of the problems with any proposed law that's over 1,000 pages long and
constantly changing is that much deviltry can lie in the details. Take the
Democrats' proposal to rewrite health care policy, better known as H.R. 3200
or by opponents as "Obamacare."
"Section 431(a) of the bill says that the IRS must divulge taxpayer identity
information, including the filing status, the modified adjusted gross
income, the number of dependents, and "other information as is prescribed
by" regulation. That information will be provided to the new Health Choices
Commissioner and state health programs and used to determine who qualifies
for "affordability credits."

That's for the 'sliding scale', right? the gov't is divulging
"sensitive info", like your total income, to the gov't, right?
So what?

Good. Maybe the IRS will find out how much Cheney has pilfered offshore and
arrest this "bad heart" phoney.

ObamaCare will pass because most people aren't as stupid as you are.
As usual, one part of the pro-reform argument is twisted to use
against another part of the argument.
The transplant queue already exists - oh, and it has been shown to
already discriminate against the same people that the current profit
system discriminates against.
Helping people pay on a sliding scale will help them get frequent
checkups, and avoid the need for transplants in the first place.

The comfort of the wealthy has always

the poor. --Voltaire
And he who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit
atrocities.
Obamacare will pass because most people ARE stupid. Just like the
burger flipper who buys a $5000 plasma television with a credit card
without thinking how he's going to pay for it, believing that he's
getting a 'free' teevee, because he'll just stick the credit card
company with the unpaid bill.
Americans who support Obamacare believe they will be getting 'free'
health care - that someone else will pay for it. Support drops off
when they believe that they themselves will have to pay for it. It is
this attitude that is responsible for our $12 trillion national
deficit, because Americans want everything but hate paying taxes, so
they just put in on the national credit card.
Yes, you are.
