Well yeah. In later life I have come around to the view that until the
time comes - very far in the future - when collective humanity decides
to heal our tragic condition....until that time comes, human beings
must be rigidly controlled.
In Singapore we have a relatively gentle form of fascism with a
pretence of democracy.
Realistically, that is the best way.
Thirty years ago I was naive. I thought people were nice. I thought
people had some intellectual function and some courage.
Late in life I favour the Singapore model.
