What's a state to do? Especially with a city's mayor breaking the law. And
scores of others doing the same. And it's still going going going.
Records that are altered won't be recognized as legal. So say the
authorities. The "marriage" licenses were changed - every one of them - to
permit same-gender match-ups. Therefore, the powers-that-be have told media
they'll be thrown out. So there!
"California will reject altered marriage forms" is the morning headline in
the Washington Times. According to Cheryl Wetzstein, reporter, "California
will reject altered marriage forms. The California state agency that records
marriages said yesterday that forms that have been altered, which San
Francisco has done on its homosexual 'marriage' licenses, will not be
registered.
"California has a standard application form for marriage licenses, 'and if
it has been altered in any way, then it will not be registered and recorded.
It will be sent back to the county of origin,' said Nicole Evans,
spokeswoman for Kim Belshe, the California Health and Human Services
secretary."
But that's not the end of it.
Nuptials are blurred at best, no bliss maximum in San Fran. Two thousand six
hundred homosexual twosomes who have supposedly been joined together, let no
man put asunder, may be in for the great awakening. They've crossed out
"groom" and "bride" on the recognized forms and put in some other phrasing -
willy nilly.
In other words, in America we make up our own laws - situation ethics to the
legal nth. Will it work? Time will tell. While Haiti falls apart due to
societal institutions on the fritz, California plays the same game of make
up your own statutes and let the culture go down the tubes.
"'We have to follow the law when we process these forms. It's part of public
statute, so we are following state law in the way we record and register
marriages,' Ms. Evans said, adding that, to her knowledge, the state agency
hasn't received any same-sex 'marriage' forms yet."
However, the show's not over. San Francisco City Assessor Mable Teng told
media that the San Francisco City Attorney Dennis Herrera gives dittos to
the gender-neutral forms, saying they're okay, agreeing with San Francisco
Mayor Gavin Newsom. In other words, the plot thickens.
So "if and when" the marriage forms are sent back to San Francisco, "'the
city attorney will evaluate his options about how to proceed, but at this
time, it is premature to speculate on what those options are or what he may
be doing.'"
In any case, the governor agrees with the law - and best he should!
"California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, who generally supports homosexual
rights, criticized San Francisco officials for disobeying state law. 'I
support all of California's existing laws that provide domestic-partnership
benefits and protections,' Mr. Schwarzenegger said in a statement released
late Tuesday. 'However, Californians spoke on the issue of same-sex marriage
when they overwhelmingly approved California's law that defines marriage as
being between a man and a woman.
"'I support that law and encourage San Francisco officials to obey that law.
The courts should act quickly to resolve this matter,' the governor said."
With what's going on in San Fran, I've just about lost count of what's
lining up in Boston. My oh my, both American coasts are caving in to
nonsense immoral. What a shame. And spring's not even here yet. What will
the culture produce once the breezes start to waft below God's smiling blue
skies?
I wonder if this is how it all started in Haiti. Could be.

Atheism teaches that there is no God, hence no God-given rights. That
ideology coupled with a system that believed in the superiority of the state
at the expense of the individual was murderously synergistic.
