Bill Clinton NEVER won a majority of the electorate in his two
presidential bids. He won EACH TIME only because Ross Perot was also
in the race and siphoned roughly twenty percent of the conservative
vote away from the Republicans. Recall that this occurred both when
he was running against George Bush Sr. and also when he ran against
whatsisname from Kansas. The most Clinton ever got was about 43% of
the vote. George W. Bush was severely criticized for barely squeaking
past Al Gore (Gore supporters still don't accept his victory) in the
presidential election of 2000. Yet, if I recall correctly, he
garnered about 51% of the vote. No matter if you accept his victory
or reject it, he did outpoint Clinton by a solid 8% of the electorate,
and yet, few if any commentators ever questioned Clinton's right to
govern. Note that Perot only ran against Bush and Clinton, and then
against whatsisname and Clinton. Isn't it mighty peculiar that he
only served the purpose of splitting the conservative vote when
Clinton was the direct beneficiary and then simply disappeared from
the political landscape, never to be heard from again? Quick, come up
with some bullshit rationalization.
And then we come to Hillary Clinton's election to the Senate.
Rudy Giuliani swept the Republican field that year and won their
nomination, but shortly thereafter, he withdrew from the Senate race,
claiming health problems (note he's back in solid form today). The
effect of this odd bit of political timing was to clear the field of
any solid, viable opponents to Hillary Clinton in the general
election. The Republicans named a virtual unknown to run against
Clinton, following Giuliani's suspicious withdrawal, and the rest is
history. Hillary Clinton easily defeated him and is now the junior
senator from New York. A sophisticated person might well wonder if
Giuliani weren't on the Clinto payroll. Put up and pay off a phony
candidate to run against you and have them throw the race. It's so
childishly simple that only the American electorate are dumb enough to
fall for it again and again.
Fast forward to today. Hillary Clinton is running for
president. Suspicious things are already occurring. She acts as if
she is already our next president, as if her victory is in the bag.
And who do we see on the Republican side? For one, good old Rudy
Giuliani. What's he intend to pull this time? Win the nomination and
then think up an excuse to pull out? Or just blow the election by
appearing in drag at the right moment? Never fear, we've got Fred
Thompson coming into the race. Too bad he's an actor and his politics
sound suspiciously similar to those of George W. Bush. Think we're
getting out of Iraq before "They" want us to? Hah, think again.
In short, folks, the whole thing is a farce. Whomever has been
designated as our next president either has already been picked by the
ruling elite or they are hedging their bets until the time comes for
them to designate exactly whom they prefer. If they want Hillary
Clinton in there, I guarantee she will win the election in one way or
another, by hook or by crook, and the talking heads in the media will
be marketing her "victory" as if she is the authentic choice of "we
the people" long enough for all the morons to accept it and go about
their lives being just as stupid as "They" know you are.
