An Ideal Type Target Solving the Automaton Problem: An "Ant Trap"

Walter Reed Hospital has opened a wing in downtown Kabul. It serves
disabled Army active duty personnel who are wounded but still want to
be close to the action. There are a steady stream of amubulances, a
helicopter pad, and a big parking lot. One back enterance is a long
heating tunnel that leads right to the cafeteria and dining area. It
has an Afgani guard but he sleeps a lot and takes bribes. There are
small holes in walls of the tunnel which is made out of heavy Portland
cement and can withstand nearly any powerful explosion. Unworthy Pre-
Martyrs would find this target attractive. They would enter the
tunnel with their guns and high explosives. The Army sharpshooters
with silenced weaponry would disable them and once they were disabled,
a hollywood style gunfight and ruckus with lots of ketchup and blanks
would ensue. The press would be informed and the usual shocking news
would be created. The unworthy Pre-martyrs would be alive but would
be declared dead in a horrendous hail of gunfire.

Note: This is not an "actual suggestion" but an "ideal type" of which
illustrates the kind of target needed in Iraq and Afghanistan. I call
it an ant trap, because the ants go in and they never come out.
