The author could have included Presidential candidates John McCain and
Ralph Nader to his list. Also remember Jesse Jackson mounted a
campaign for President in 1984 and nothing relative to his eligibility
to be POTUS was raised.

Because everyone knew Jesse Jackson had zero chance of winning.

You poor deranged kooks just need to accept that Obama is POTUS, and
move on. Get help, get a life.

Where in the Constitution does it state that the President must have an
American father?
Where in the Constitution does it state that the President must not have
spent part of his or her childhood abroad?

Fucking birther nutjobs -- in your heart, you know they're insane.

Natural-born-citizen clause

"..The Constitution does not define the phrase natural-born citizen,
and various opinions have been offered over time regarding its precise
meaning....

....The natural-born-citizen clause has been mentioned in passing in
several decisions of the United States Supreme Court and lower courts
dealing with the question of eligibility for citizenship by birth, but
the Supreme Court has never directly addressed the question of a
specific presidential or vice-presidential candidate's eligibility as
a natural-born citizen..."

IOW, the courts have yet to discharge their responsibility by
continuing to evade providing a definition of "natural born citizen".

However, according to John Bingham, the primary author of the 14th
amendment to the COTUS:

"Every human being born within the jurisdiction of the United States
of parents not owing allegiance to any foreign sovereignty is, in the
language of your Constitution itself, a natural-born citizen;..."

(Cong Globe, 39th, 1st Sess., 1291 (1866))

Note Bingham articulates parents (plural), not parent (singular) which
would not include Obama as a NBC even if he was born in Hawaii as
Obama so alleges.

...that the Supreme Court must define it. Unfortunately for you birther
nut-jobs, it already has -- if you're born on U.S. soil, you are a
natural born citizen.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Natural-born-citizen_clause

"It appears to have been assumed by the Supreme Court of the United
States in the case of Murray v. The Charming Betsy (1804) 2 Cranch (6
U.S.) 64, 119, 2 L.Ed. 208, 226, that all persons born in the United
States were citizens thereof. ... In M'Creery v. Somerville (1824) 9
Wheat. (22 U.S.) 354, 6 L.Ed. 109, which concerned the title to land in
the state of Maryland, it was assumed that children born in that state
to an alien were native-born citizens of the United States. .... The
Federal courts have almost uniformly held that birth in the United
States, of itself, confers citizenship."

You obviously do not have the mental capacity to differentiate between
naturalized citizens, native born citizens and natural born citizens.

You have obvious mental deficiencies that prevent you from seeing that
there is no difference between a native born and a natural born citizen.
But, of course, you have mental problems -- that's why you're a
braindead birther.
