Why, How, Who Has the Democratic Party Under Idea Lock Down?

There is one word that simply cannot be uttered at any Democratic
Party functions: idea Even the "idea" of Democrats taking over the
house is forbidden, verboten, taboo with the party establishment.
The GOP has a lot of ideas. To be sure every last one of them is a
scam but even scams can be considered ideas.
The 0.01% national media love to gush "it's a horse race" as though
American voters have a choice.
But we know what that choice is:
Scam ideas or no ideas.
You won't ever hear Big Pharma sponsored 0.01% media anchor Bob
$chieffer asking the "tough" questions about Democratic Party ideas on
leveling wealth.
Nope, that ain't gonna happen. Bob $chieffer gets paid the big bucks
to preclude that from happening.
The only thing that compares to the Democratic Party lock down on
ideas is the bipartisan lock down on critical thinking following
9/11. That one was so successful that the anti-immigration movement
was able to use the threat of bin Laden coming across from Mexico as a
pretext for closing the border. That rational was so bogus it rivaled
any nonsense the generally open border always bat crap insane neocons
were able to muster.
And yet the high school drop out Minutemen actually got away with it.
We know who did that lock down: The media gush hyping "9/11 changed
EEEEEEEVERYthing" 24/7/52 for several years. [Don't even think about
questioning BushCo or you'll be branded a terrorist lover.]
We also know the purpose:
Any critical thought at all would get the camel's nose under the tent
and the entire eternal patriotic quagmire movement would collapse.
That happened anyway which just goes to show that these lock downs are
pretty easy to debunk.
There may be other factors with the current lock down, i.e., the
Democratic Party establishment is dumb and/or lazy and/or out of touch
and just wants to avoid being like the Repugs so much they've decided
to ban any mention of _any_ ideas whatsoever.
But it's hard not to compare the 2 lock downs. Only the reason for
this one is different. The media are getting paid by the 0.01% for
the Democratic Party idea lock down

everyone agrees, have a sphere of influence the size of a ping pong
ball. It's not really about word games.
It's about party and media establishments. To be sure the NY Times
uses code words to vilify [censor] ideas but that's not the basic
thrust of the article.

Who/what formulates their agenda and devises their strategy for
implementing it?
What is their purpose?

The purpose of the New York Times pretend that they aren't getting
paid by the 0.01% to transfer wealth from the 99% to the 0.01%.
That's why they are always exclaiming that they "can't figger it out."
