HEAD: Health Care will Cause U.S. Dollar Collapse
It is becoming increasingly likely that health care will be the straw that
causes the U.S. Dollar to collapse. There is no doubt about it that health
care costs are out-of-control in America. Unfortunately, most Americans are
calling for the government to do something about astronomical health care
costs, when the government is actually the cause of the crisis and will only
make it much worse.
Medicare costs have increased from $3 billion in 1966 to an estimated $408
billion in 2009. This equals a compound annual growth rate of 12% and proves
that inflation gravitates towards parts of the economy where government is
involved in the most. Health care now accounts for 17% of the U.S. GDP, and
by 2017 it is estimated that one out of every $5 spent in this country will
be on health care.
Isn't it amazing that the one area of medical care that is going down in
price is plastic surgery and other cosmetic procedures, because it is the
area where the government is involved in the least? Free market forces
dictate plastic surgery prices, because health insurance typically does not
cover it.
Today we have a system where tax free health benefits from employers force
Americans into expensive health insurance plans that encourage individuals
to claim every small doctor's visit. This creates abuse of the system with
Americans going to the emergency room for unnecessary reasons, knowing they
will only have to pay a $10 co-pay.
If Americans were able to take home the cost of their health insurance
plans, in the form of higher wages, they would then be able to purchase
cheaper health insurance plans on their own that cover only bad accidents
and major emergencies. If they wanted to see the doctor for something minor,
they could pay for it out of pocket. With less people abusing the system,
waits would be shorter and doctors would be encouraged to charge the least.
Today, with doctors getting paid by a handful of third-party corporations,
they are encouraged to charge the most.
Government intervention into health care has ruined the industry for doctors
too. The government has made the industry less efficient by creating too
many licenses and regulations. Doctors now spend half of their time filling
out excessive paperwork while worrying about malpractice lawsuits. If
somebody has a small bruise on their arm, instead of telling the patient to
use ice, doctors now run multiple tests and fill out dozens of forms to
comply with regulations and prevent themselves from being sued.
Obama's plan of socialized health care will wipe out the private sector and
create less competition. No private health insurance companies will be able
to compete with the government, which will be able to operate at a loss
continuously. With any remaining efficiencies of the free market eliminated,
costs will go up for all Americans in the form of much higher inflation, and
the quality of health care will go down.
If we want the U.S. to remain the country where millions of people travel to
for top quality medical care, we need to allow the free market to work for
itself. Free market principles are the only way to drive costs down while
improving the quality of health care.

beings need health care a lot more than they need to fight wars in Iraq
and Afghanistan. Human beings need health care a lot more than they need
more nuclear warheads or more aircraft carriers. Wasteful spending and
lack of taxation causes dollar devaluation. Health care spending, unlike
military pig shit, is actually a NEED. There is also the fact that you
GET something for the tax money when you are taxed to pay for health
care. The taxes paid are offset by the reduced costs you would have paid
for the health care.

penchant for assigning cause where only correlation exists is their
favorite form of lying. Let me give you all some equally plausible

1. Since 1966 we have dramatically reduced barriers to free trade and
health care costs have, at the same time risen from $3B to $408. This
proves that the lack of trade restrictions causes health care costs to
rise.
2. The earth is warmer now than it was in 1966. That proves that global
warming causes health care costs to rise.
3. The Vietnam war and the LBJ war on poverty combined to cause a
Democratic bubble in the life's blood of the planet and this is the cause
of increased health care costs.
WHAT A LOAD OF REPUBLICAN LYING PIG SHIT!

As technological innovation, real capital development, enhanced
infrastructure, and further division and specialization of labor and land
continue to dramatically enhance PRODUCTIVITY in all segments of the
economy at a much faster pace than the labor intensive medical sector,
And as the offshoring of all the manufacturing moves a large part of what
was included in the GDP out of the GDP,
And as new technology in the health care field (catscan, mri) INCREASES
the cost of health care as opposed to decreasing the cost of health care
(the exact opposite of what technology foes in other segments of the
economy)
THEN THE SHARE OF TOTAL GDP GOBBLED UP BY HEALTH CARE WILL SURELY
INCREASE.
The day may come when robots do all the other work and all that will be
left is health care professionals actually contributing to the GDP. At
that point health care will consume 90% of GDP because everything else
will have been mechanized to nothingness.
It is a combination of the productivity in the rest of the economy
reducing costs in those areas and the more and more expensive _NEW_
medical innovations adding costs in the medical sector together that
account for much of the rise in the health care SHARE of GDP. And if you
can't understand these facts of reality you are probably a Republican and
beyond any hope anyway. The brain dead cannot be resurrected.

It isn't amazing at all that unneeded crap is cheaper than stuff that is
essential. When you are going to die without the care then you WILL pay.
When you _MUST_ drive to work in your old beater or starve to death you
WILL pay for the gasoline. The price of the gasoline does not determine
the market for gasoline. Cheeseburgers and lollipops are not in that
category. And as the price of gas doubled, the price of cheeseburgers
didn't. It must have been because the government was doing stuff to the
oil prices and because we weren't insured against high cheeseburger
prices.

This, of course is another outright lie. There probably are some
disfunctional Republicans that will actually "make up" a need to go to a
hospital if it doesn't cost very much. But there are no rational people
that would do that.

None of this market tripe actually applies to health care. People do not
see a physician because the have a "thing" about doctors. They do not
seek health care because they want to interrupt their lives with an
interlude of entertainment or some sort of enjoyable pursuit at the
hospital. A visit to a doctors office or a hospital is not a _WANT_ or a
_DESIRE_. And people who put off their RESPONSIBILITY concerning medical
care (checkups cost money) end up causing more medical costs in the long
run. The Republican view of health care is the same as the Republican
view of humanity in general. Ordinary people are dispensable and
irrelevant AS INDIVIDUALS. They are only useful in that they can be
duped into putting money into the pocket of a Republican snake oil
salesman.

The lying continues unabated. The reality is that every one of these
problems is resolved with a single payer system or that the problem has
nothing to do with the actual debate. Malpractice suits can probably be
covered by a government insurance program much more inexpensively than
the private sector can do it. This observation will have been true for
much of the insurance "industry". But that is simply inking and muddying
the water. Malpractice insurance is not affected by the advent of a
single payer health insurance system. Paperwork is dramatically reduced
by such a system, and there is a single payer that regulates the use of
tests by virtue of SCIENCE as opposed to insurance company greed.

There is little if any need for "competition" in health care. The
Republicans try to justify the existence of the health insurance sector
on the basis of competition. They have CREATED a succubus so as to
worship the god of competition.
The *#^$^$&#* "free market" has pushed the cost of health care into the
stratosphere and we have brain damaged morons that simply will not
abandon their one size fits all disproved fundamentalism.

Yes! Millions of people come here for health care. We have created the
most elaborate and most convenient health care system the world has ever
seen to serve the rich bitches from every nation including our own. And
you can bet that the Republican piggies want to keep it that way. The
problem is that the American majority cannot afford to use the system.
Only the rich can afford the convenience and the technology that the
productive American people have financed.
We can save a bundle of money and put the health care system within the
reach of the productive Americans that actually finance it by:
1. Eliminating waste and duplication and streamlining the records keeping
and paper work
2. By eliminating the succubus of a profit seeking insurance sector that
currently adds nothing whatsoever to health care services, and indeed
increases the overhead.
3. By reducing the number of extremely expensive test systems through
proper relocation and scheduling of those systems.
It is amazing how the Republicans love monopoly savings and the returns
to scale of consolidation OUTSIDE OF GOVERNMENT. But when government can
offer the returns to scale and the advantages of monopsony they will
fight it tooth and nail down to the last coonskin cap.

And considering that Medicare only pays the doctors and hospitals 25% of
the price charged for services, that 408 billion dollar figure would be
in the trillions by now, and private insurance would be half of the cost
it is today because doctors and hospitals wouldn't have to increase
costs on insurance to recoup what they lost on government programs.
