either Oregon or Texas.

I've been told that back in the day (before the feminist got
involved) a number of Oregon women would end an abusive relationship
by waking him with a round or two from the shotgun. Yeah, it was
murder, but ... "two year time out in the Women's prison". Then the
Feminists got involved, and now they are getting similar sentences as
male murderers.

I recall a story of a woman in Texas who caught her husband with
the other woman on the couch. She shot them both, pausing once to
reload the shot gun. Her lawyer argued that under Texas case law, it
was legal for a man to kill an unfaithful wife, and her paramour.
"sauce gander, sauce goose". The Judge agreed, although he did
strongly recommend "anger management" - no need to have reloaded the
shotgun for a second go-round. That was just excessive use of force.
