I'm touched by the number of Progressives who want to save the
Republicans, by keeping us from nominating our worst possible

Who has suggested that Sarah Palin not run for any office? No one in
this newsgroup for sure. Most people, admirers, fans and opponents alike
are delighted if/when she runs.

Be careful what you wish for. Republicans and conservatives, did not really
take the Obama run very seriously either.

I advise Palin not to run for office. Her value is in the social, not
political sphere.

I find no public figure fit for office.

That's an option. It must be a public enterprise with no connection to
government. As soon as political parties are squashed, each locale
could sponsor a lottery. Winners would then declare candidacy and run
their own campaigns.

The question is how much juice will be required to eliminate the
parties.

Yeah, sure. Their numbers were at the lowest point in years, the
economy was in the shitter, and their President was an idiot. If they
didn't take the Democratic opponent seriously at this point, then they
weren't very smart.

You mean like the fact that republican governors were elected in a heavily
democratic state like New Jersey, and one state which Obama carried by a
large majoirty in Virginia?

Colorblindness, it's not just genetic, it is also possible to
acquire color blindness through damage to the higher brain areas
implicated in color processing.

Better than having lost two states who voted in large numbers for Obama.
