About 700,000 people, from all 50 states, have signed petitions on a White House web site seeking permission from the Obama administration for their states to secede from the country and create new governments.
The total number on two Pennsylvania petitions rose by Wednesday afternoon to 17,884, while another 12,330 signed a single New Jersey petition and 6,591 others signed one for Delaware.
Petitions in at least seven states have collected in excess of 25,000 signatures, requiring the Obama Administration to formally respond by reviewing the requests.
By 2 p.m. Wednesday, Texas had more than 99,000 signatures, the most of any state.
Two other petitions - with a total of about 25,000 signatures - called for the deportation and exile of those seeking to withdraw. One said, "Keep the United States United" and had about 1,700 signatures.
Another said, "Peacefully allow the states that have asked to secede to do so and form their own NEW nation together," and had more than 5,700 signatures.

What ever happened to "America, love it or leave it"? Guess they don't
really love it...

The idea of a "United" States is a lie. This simply is not the country
it was founded to be. Obama promised his supporters that he would
fundamentally change the country, and in this, he is succeeding.

If you had ended it after "America" you would have had it right.

Ooooo, what is that, a tenth of a percent? Awesome.
We WANT the Republican/STUPID states to leave. We can move the military
bases, soldiers, federal institutes, research money, and everything else
to GOOD states.
And the Republican'ts can starve in the dark.
Bye bye now. Don't let the door hit you on the way out, Mikey Poo Flanigan.

I think that dividing the country into as many sections as people want is an even better and more just solution. The sections could be county size or state size or whatever people are willing to accept and pay for. Liberals, conservatives, libertarians, anarcho-syndicalists, anarcho-capitalists could all have their pieces of ground scattered around what was the former United States. They could form confederations with like-minded sections. This would give some real meaning to the old charge "if you don't like it you can leave," which is impractical under present conditions.
By what right does the U.S. government claim jurisdiction over the present territory? Europeans acquired it by force and massacring the native inhabitants; e.g. see
http://ngeorgia.com/history/nghisttt.html That is, the parts they didn't steal from Mexico, who acquired it by theft themselves.
The present governments literally do more harm than good. This is borne out by the hard evidence.
Unfortunately, most people will not take the trouble to look up, read, and think about the facts. They just accept as given the indoctrination that they received in school that the U.S. is a wonderful democracy.

Republican showing how much they hate America that they want to break it up.

All that does is balkanize the US through segregation and turns it
into another Europe. But that's what Repugnants really want anyway.
As it actually is, the US doesn't conform to their antiquated ideas of
what America should be and is thus a major disappointment to them,
that's why they have to come up with all sorts of stupid ideas of how
to fix the US the way you've just done. Only goes to show how
exclusive, as opposed to inclusive, Repugnants are as an ideological
group, which explains why they lost the last two elections and will
keep losing elections until they become inclusive-minded. But the
chances of the party going extinct are better than their becoming
inclusive-minded.

In other words, go back to a federalist constitutional system.
That way if the people of MA want socialized healthcare they can have it, but the federal government doesn't have the power to force such a system on the rest of the country.
Ahh, but that was back when we used to have a constitution.

Yeah, antiquated ideas like the rule of law, the constitution, limited government and free markets. Reverting back to class division and the rule of man as opposed to the rule of law like mankind has labored under for centuries is progress for the progressive.
Hint: You're an idiot and don't have what it takes to be a real America.

Your pretense of stupidity is as stupid as it is offense.
You have already destroyed America and we are just trying save what's left, and you know it.

Why did so many countries in the Balkans and elsewhere voluntarily break up into separate entities? It is not segregation if you can freely choose which type of social-political system you can live under. Now there is little difference between Republicans and Democrats. They both support big government, getting involved in foreign wars, and further infringement on individual rights such as telling people what they can put into their own bodies.
Politicians, both Democrat and Republican, are nearly all corrupt. They support the policies of their cronies, who in turn support them with money and votes. They both support wasting billions of dollars on victimless "crimes." They both support the loss of civil liberties. The DEA, TSA, BATF, and local police constantly harass, arrest, and often murder innocent people with the government's blessing. Similarly, no-knock raids in which government agents break down people's doors on hearsay evidence and commit many atrocities seem fine to them. Politicians are essentially pandering to pressure groups like the police unions and DEA.
This is all well documented on sites and publications for anyone who will take the trouble to read some.

No, I think we'll just stay right here and give you fuckwits one more shot at it, and if you don't wise up we'll simply take over by force and boot your worthless anti-American asses out and restore the country to it's former glory.

The left's idea of being inclusive really means how much security and
free stuff can the govt give to me on someone else's dime.

The government does not deserve any respect, let alone love. It has nothing but my contempt, and that includes nearly all politicians in both major parties.

Being inclusive means including the takers by buying their votes with government largess while we go bankrupt.
Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal forcefully rejected Mitt Romney's claim that
he lost because of President Barack Obama's "gifts" to minorities and
young voters.
Asked about the failed GOP nominee's reported comments on a conference
call with donors earlier Wednesday, the incoming chairman of the
Republican Governors Association became visibly agitated.
"No, I think that's absolutely wrong," he said at a press conference that
opened the RGA's post-election meeting here.
...
The Louisiana governor didn’t just get worked up over Romney's comments
to donors in a Wednesday conference call about the root of President
Barack Obama's victory being "gifts" to various constituencies. He's
been stewing for some time over the damage the GOP nominee did to the
party.
...
Considered a likely candidate for the Republican presidential nomination
in 2016, he blamed Romney's defeat last week on the nominee's failure to
outline a vision for where he wanted to take the country.
...
Hey Jindal - time to change parties. Leave the Stupid Party. Come into the
light.
> Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal forcefully rejected Mitt Romney's claim

I call them "Obama Crack" instead of "gifts." *
But while free crack does enhance Chairman Obama's popularity, Mitt Romney lost because he is unappealing. As a politician, Romney is a clone of Obama, a shallow and vague douche in a suit who says whatever he thinks the public wants to hear, but he lacks Chairman Obama's Kool-Aid Kult kharisma. In fact, Romney has a sort of anti-charisma, creeping people out with his dressage horses and offshore bank accounts, as well as his brainwashing Stepford cult. But this is what Republicans wanted,
and people chose Kool-Aid over Stepford, so they need to do some serious reflection if they want their party to survive.

You think that no previous officeholder promised special government
benefits for certain groups in order to retain office?

Not when people in possession of civic duty are overwhelmed by the stupid and corrupt. Now elections won't matter because King Hussein intends to circumvent congress to implement his agenda, and has already done so on immigration, Libya and cap-n-tax. So see? You fuckers are the ones that don't like elections.
Did you like that? The way I just turned it around and rammed it back up your ass?
> You don't like Democracy?
Mob rule? Fuck no. I prefer a constitutional republic with separation of powers and a limited government like the framers intended. You know, everything you are trying destroy?

I already told you that, dumbass.
"I just have to continue to say this notion that somehow I can just change
the laws unilaterally is just not true. We are doing everything we can
administratively. But the fact of the matter is there are laws on the books
that I have to enforce. And I think there's been a great disservice done to
the cause of getting the DREAM Act passed and getting comprehensive
immigration passed by perpetrating the notion that somehow, by myself, I can
go and do these things. It's just not true."
-Hussein, Sept 28, 2011
Washington (CNN) -- In an election-year policy change, the Obama
administration said Friday it will stop deporting young illegal immigrants
who entered the United States as children if they meet certain requirements.
The shift on the politically volatile issue of immigration policy prompted
immediate praise from Latino leaders who have criticized Congress and the
White House for inaction, while Republicans reacted with outrage, saying the
move amounts to amnesty -- a negative buzz word among conservatives -- and
usurps congressional authority.
"President Obama's Environmental Protection Agency has devoted an
unprecedented number of bureaucrats to finalizing new anti-coal regulations
that are set to be released at the end of November, according to a source
inside the EPA."
"More than 50 EPA staff are now crashing to finish greenhouse gas emission
standards that would essentially ban all construction of new coal-fired
power plants. Never before have so many EPA resources been devoted to a
single regulation. The independent and non-partisan Manhattan Institute
estimates that the EPA's greenhouse gas coal regulation will cost the U.S.
economy $700 billion"

It isn't that! They do not like Obama's agenda of fundamentally transforming America. Republicans are unhappy with a socialist America.
