Actually is not funny at all.
A lot of growth hormones used in US for mass production of cheap meat are
banned in Europe, Japan and any other developed country. These hormones
ending in all the cheap meat do to humans EXACTLY what they did to pigs,
chickens and cows: unhealthy fatty tissue growth.
The only way to avoid hormones infested food in US is to buy organic from
small organic farms and avoid entirely the big agribusiness products. To do
that you need to eat only at luxury organic restaurants and avoid entirely
the commodity food suppliers. But guess what?
That is too expensive for low income and even for lower middle class and
because of Republican "War on the middle class" (Tnx Lou Dobbs for
inventing the term) it start to become unaffordable even for the average
higher middle class.
The second most important factor in obesity it is the stress. Stress threw
the endocrine system out of balance and in many cases the thyroid goes nuts
and generate obesity. Again, in Europe people do not have to worry about
unaffordable health care, have a much higher job security or if unemployed
he is taken care of by the exceptional social safety net they have there.
The amount of stress for the average American it is maybe hundred of times
higher than for the average European. In US you again need to be a member
of the top elite group to be able to afford a unstressed lifestyle as the
average European worker.
The third factor is the lack of vacation time for the average US worker. The
average US worker have one third as much vacation as the average French and
somewhere as only one fourth as the average Swed. Many low income American
workers are also economically coerced to have the second or some even a
third job in order to be able to feed their kids. There is no time for the
average US worker to have a healthy life style, but that is perfectly
affordable to every single low income European worker. In US, you again
need to be a member of the top elite to afford that.
The fourth factor is access to health care. Every single European have
access to affordable health care when needed while in US many are
economically coerced to skip care. Even for the insured, the busy work
schedule and the lack of enough regulation preventing layoffs of sick
workers who skip work for doctor checks, coerce US workers to get much less
care than what they need. And even when they get it, it is poor quality and
extremely expensive because of the profit oriented mindset of care
providers. Again, you need to be a rich in US in order to get the right
care you need in order to be as healthy as the average European worker.
Conclusion:
In US the health it is a luxury for the rich. And this is by design in order
to boost the profits of useless unskilled idle rich.

The world of the future will be fully democratic or will not be at all.
Democracy Highlander
P.S.:
When I say "democratic", I use the word democratic coming from democracy not
from Democratic party. I am not connected in any way with Democratic party
and if they fail to do as promised and cut corporate corruption I have no
problem to turn on them and blog against them too.
I fyou saw the picture of those women you would realize they are not
starving , eben though Liberal NPR was trying to make them a violin story
on starvation.
> I fyou saw the picture of those women you would realize they are not
> starving ,
A lifetime of accumulated unhealthy fat because of hormones, stress, lack of
free time and inaccessible health care will not just vanish away with a few
months of starvation. Even in the case of no food at all for 2 weeks or
more, the person will first become sick of starvation, needing emergency
care before the accumulated fat goes away.
If with a little starvation all the fat went away, do you really believe
that there will be such a huge business with diets and weight loss ?
Try to think about...

Thanks for posting that. [It deserved a much better subject line, and got it.]
