It is now apparent that the command and control breakdown, reported as
a BENT SPEAR incident to the Secretary of Defense and White House, was
not the result of a command and control chain-of-command "failures"
but the result of a revolt and push back by various echelons within
the Air Force and intelligence agencies against a planned U.S. attack
on Iran using nuclear and conventional weapons.
The Washington Post story on BENT SPEAR may have actually been an
effort in damage control by the Bush administration. WMR has been
informed by a knowledgeable source that one of the six nuclear-armed
cruise missiles was, and may still be, unaccounted for.
WMR has learned that a U.S. attack on Iran using nuclear and
conventional weapons was scheduled to coincide with Israel's September
6 air attack on a reputed Syrian nuclear facility in Dayr az-Zwar,
near the village of Tal Abyad, in northern Syria, near the Turkish
border. Israel's attack, code named OPERATION ORCHARD, was to provide
a reason for the U.S. to strike Iran.
Although the Air Force tried to keep the B-52 nuclear incident from
the media, anonymous Air Force personnel leaked the story to Military
Times on September 5, the day before the Israelis attacked the alleged
nuclear installation in Syria and the day planned for the simultaneous
U.S. attack on Iran. The leaking of classified information on U.S.
nuclear weapons disposition or movement to the media, is, itself,
unprecedented.

"I will make a bargain with the Republicans.
If they will stop telling lies about Democrats,
we will stop telling the truth about them." -
Adlai Stevenson, former Illinois Governor
and democratic presidential candidate.
In other breaking news, the the evil queen has been cleared of all
charges in the ongoing Snow White attempted murder investigation. The
queen, the primary suspect in the case, was apparently set up to take
the fall in an elaborate plan by the 7 dwarfs to overtake Snow White's
reign as imperial drug lord of the notorious Black Forest drug
cartel. The turf battle between the dwarfs and queen had become
particularly violent as of late with the attempted assassination of
brutal bodyguard and thug, Prince Charming. That attempt failed, but
Charming did lose a pinky finger in the attempt on his life. The
queen, who has been held in the local jail since being named the prime
suspect, has always maintained her innocence and, in a showing of good
faith, plans to destroy all her apple trees when released from jail
this afternoon. After that "I may have a talk with my favorite mirror
over a cup of warm hemlock".
Very amusing. Maybe you would like to comment on the tale that six
(count 'em) Advanced Cruise Missiles carry a W80-1 150 kiloton
warheads, specifically designed for delivery by B-52 strategic
bombers, were "misplaced" and "accidentally" mounted on a B-52 bomber
without anyone being aware of what was happening. Hell, stuff like
that happens all the time.
Is that how the nuclear bombs "mistake" happened?

An Israeli company provides security for US nuclear weapons storage
facilities. Maybe that's how it happened?
Is Magal Security Systems in the national interest?
June 2, 2007 -- According to the Magal Security Systems' web site,
Magal is responsible for securing eighty percent of the nuclear power
plants, nuclear research sites, chemical processing plants, and
weapons storage facilities in the United States. However, Magel
Security Systems is an Israeli company.
Founded as a department of Israel Aircraft Industry in 1969, Magal has
since acquired Stellar Security Products Inc. of California and
Senstar Corporation of Canada. Several years ago it established Smart
Interactive Systems, Inc. Magal claims a forty percent worldwide share
of perimeter intrusion detection systems.

I forgot to mention that one of the authors, Walter Pincus, did some
bang-up writing before the war, exposing many of Bush's lies.
While some say Bush cherry picked intelligence (which is true) so did
the editors of our major newspapers. If they had read their own papers
they would have easily seen Bush was lying about WMD.
The explanation was pretty vanilla actually. With the reduction in
our
nuclear equipped forces, the handling of these weapons has been
reduced in scope and funding. As such, nuclear weapons were
permitted to be stored with none nuclear weapons (including
"dummy" weapons used for training). To the outside observer,
these weapons look every bit like a nuclear weapon, except for
an internal feature which is only visible through an inspection port.
Somebody screwed up and either didn't look through the port,
or mistook what they saw. Everyone else (until they got to the
other airport) didn't check (double check actually). The pilot
only checked one side, not the other.
The procedures weren't followed, but it was enabled because
"everyone knows" what it looks like when nukes are being
handled and transported around a base, or on an aircraft. So
it was "obvious" to everyone around that these were "dummys"
because of the way they were being handled. The moment they
were misidentified in the storage facility, it started the long
chain of "assumptions" based upon the way their were erroneously
handled.
The primary "lessons learned" is not to store them with
other weapons. They are different, and need to be handled
differently. And that starts at the storage facility so that
nothing in that facility ever gets handled differently because
everything there is the same. From that point on, everyone
"knows" they are different, just from the way they were
handled, and the way they came upon them.
With guns, even the blank shooting, plugged barreled,
fake guns used on sets, the rule is handle everything that
looks like a gun, as a gun. And it is always presumed
that a gun is loaded. With nukes the rule gets reversed
(predominately because of the cost of handling them).
ONLY nukes get handled like nukes. Fake nukes, practice
nukes, conventional versions of nukes, get handled
like conventional weapons.
Since you are obviously able to operate a computer, you can't possibly
be stupid enough to believe that. So what is your agenda in proposing
such a silly scenario? After all, we can all read. So we're not dumb
enough to believe it either.
Which part do you find difficult to believe? That they stored
the
nearly identical weapons together, figuring they wouldn't get them
mixed up? Or is it that cost cutting under Clinton and Bush Sr.
encouraged the consolidation of these assets?
