a.. Barack Obama sent Joe Biden to visit.
b.. Obama's White House negotiated Dede Scozzafava's endorsement of the
Democrat.
c.. Scozzafava and Owens both supported and campaigned on supporting the
stimulus

A political pattern to stimulus tour
Since Congress passed President Barack Obama's $787 billion economic
stimulus bill in February, administration officials have traveled to at
least 66 events across the country to tout the massive spending program or
hand out stimulus cash to grateful local officials.
But a POLITICO examination of the travel reveals a distinctly political
trend line: Top officials have hosted events predominantly in states that
Obama won in 2008.

Secondly, NY23 is a solidly Repulican district. The mere fact that the
extremists righwinger is barely leading the Democrat is a serious problem
for the Republicans. It means their party is shrinking to the point
where it will become home only to the mentally unbalanced and emotionally
unstable.

It seems to be very purple.
In some years the Dems didn't bother to put up a candidate
The best year the Dems ever had got them 37% of the vote.
If they do better than that today it will mean that Limbo and the
other "purifiers" of the Republican party have succeeded with their
job of wrecking opposition to the Democrats.
I can't wait to see the result!
Dems win!
Dems win!
Dems win!
Aren't some of those people the ones that faked Canadian residency to
get medical treatment in Canada in Michael Moor's SICKO?
Things haven't changed? Obama is in, the heavens have opened up, and you are
still bitchin?
What's wrong with this picture. You got all the Dems you need to pass
whatever you want.
But, that
isn't good enough, what you all want is to pull in the other side to share
the blood that will be on the hands.
We aren't falling for it, it's yours, all yours. If these Dems get just
one dumb Republican they can say it is Bipartisan.
I hope the dumb Republican doesn't fall for it, this time. Let the Dems
carry this one.

Scozzafava will jump to the Democrat party, where she belonged. I hear Newt
graveling tonight, he supported her without doing the research. He took
the Republican party Bosses words that she was a moderate. Newt was 'Had"
He'll never be held in high esteem in this life time.
It WAS purple.... thanks to right-wing nutjob interference, now its blue
for the first time in a hundred years.
Love it, Love it, Love it.
Keep it up guys, this is working for me.

He'll be back to give his point again and again and again and ..., as
well as hawk his latest literary project, on the cable news channels.
They love him.

Purple when the best the Democrats ever did in this district was 37%?
Purple, when Democrats sometimes didnt bother to compete?
This was Republican stronghold given up to the Democrats by Limbo,
Palin, and Beck attempting top purify the Republican Party.
More power to them!
Looks like Pelosi was a bit excited and people saying the Republicans
lost may find that it was nearly a draw or it mat yet be a loss for
democrats.
Democrats and ACORN can't steal enough votes to get a landslide.
Highly unlikely that Hoffman could eke out a win. Given that absentee
ballots included Scozzafava and that they would have been filled out
before she dropped from the race, one can expect that she would have
gotten support similar to the 20% that she was drawing at the time.
If that's the case, Hoffman would need 4 out of 5 of every remaining
ballot just to catch Owens.
My question is how was it a republican lost when there was no republican in
the race on election day and the republican actually threw in support for
the dem. Not exactly the Stuart Sammley thing but it looks like the fix was
in.
The votes already counted that make the difference just 3000 votes is
showing that people are shifting away from the Progressive-socialists
that run the Democrat party of today.
It ain't over till the fat lady sings.
Hoffman's already conceded. It's mathematically possible that he
could catch up, but it would take him catching an unrealistic
percentage of the remaining votes to do so.
For all intents and purposes, it's over.
"ACORN" = KOOKER "tell" word
YES I agree, ACORN is a KOOKY Democrat political community organizing group.
Didn't know that was their goal....
Did they produce a manifesto stating that all tea parties were to
organize the communities?
I never saw that paper.
I got the impression they wanted government to follow the U.S. constitution.
