Oh come on Kitty. Every time there is a thread in this NG about illegal
aliens you are breathing the racist fire of hatred against them and your
words are offensive in their intensity. While I believe that all
non-U.S. citizens who are in this country without proper authorization
or documentation should be deported, I do not throw them all together as
a group based on racial characteristics. They are all individual
criminals and should be treated as that for entering this country
without authority or staying beyond the terms of their visa. But you
don't see it that way - you see them as an ethnic group that is
different from you and therefore you hate them - at least that is what
appears to be the case based on your language usage.
And yes, I understand that it isn't just caucasians who can be racists.
I have a massage therapist whose parents are Vietnamese but who came to
this country (legally, I might add) as a 5-year-old with her parents and
two sisters (father was a South Vietnamese Air Force helocopter pilot
who left the country as part of the mass evacuation when the U.S.
Embassy fell in 1975). Every once in a while she gets into a rant about
someone who is Japanese or Korean and I remind her that the things she
is saying are racist and she knows I disapprove of that. That being
said, she has been my massage therapist ever since I moved to this area
in 1998, so she knows how I feel about such things by now.
Beyond that, though, I can say that I am proud to work for a company
that simply does not tolerate racism by its employees. If they want to
be that way in their private life, there isn't much that can be done,
but in the workplace it simply has no place.
In the end, though, if you are not fighting against racial bigotry and
intolerance then you tacitly approve of it. There is no such thing as
neutral ground. This is a big world. We need to learn how to get along
without regard to race.

Well, Ken, when it comes to illegal aliens, I don't see where the rant
against them is racist. That is an old trick, to prime the brain for
amnesty. Aliens are here illegally there's no getting around that. Yes, it
appears most of them are south of the border. However, my rants have always

I am not in favor of amnesty for illegal aliens. In fact I would could
easily favor a one-strike-and-you-are-out rule that would say that any
illegal entry would mean that the person should be deported and would be
forever banned from any future entry for the rest of their life - in
other words, they wouldn't even be allowed to get a visa even if they go
through proper channels. But it would never be because they are Mexican
or Chinese or Arab or Tobriand Islander or Indian or Austrailian or
Canadian or English or whatever, it would be because that individual
person committed a felony by entering this country illegally.

I also understand your point about observing people. But when I go to
