It is only logical that if the majority of the population in this
country becomes hispanic, then how could English possibly remain the
dominant language in this country? Especially since hispancs are so
adamant about retaining their culture and language within this country.
Its all BS by David and it always has been. He knows what the future
holds in this country and he is relishing it. He and the hispanics in
this country try to play it down with their assimilaltion lies.
We are already seeing Spanish textbooks in our schools, everything
being printed in Spanish for them, hordes of Spanish tv shows and radio
programming, stores marketing their products towards Spanish speakers,
job discrimination favoring Spanish speakers. Spanish speakers choosing
Spanish over English out in public and parents speaking strictly to
their kids in Spanish and even our traitorous politicians learning
Spanish to accomade the unassimilating hordes. Yeah I'm real gullible.
Sure thing, we will be able to retain our heritage, culture and language
in this country as the dominant one in the future and I have a lot for
sale in the Everglades. Want to buy?

You don't expect it in Miami !!
There is something Very Unsatisfactory for America about people

At the present rate, assuming no assimilation, it will take over 100 years
for half the population to be Hispanic. And second generation and beyond is
strongly bilingual and English capable. The fact a person holds on to the
langauge of the parents (often to communicate with them) does not mean a
person is not also fully capable in English.

I don't care what language Hispanics speak. Fully a third of the stations I
work with are all or mostly English, but aimed at second generation
Hispanics or first generation who came here before age 10... who prefer
English or a mix of both.
LA County, So Cal hospitals.. yet another (10 in the last year) has
announced it will close its ER room do to the cost... translated
"illegal's are using's as their primary care physician and not paying
the bill"
LA County will be taking in less taxes next year because its middle
class tax base has left... how will the county pay for all these
social programs that teh brown horde uses a plus pay police, fire and
schools? Answer THEY WONT!
The Downey Regional Health Center, which is losing $12 million a year on ER
operations, is not a county or public hospital.
No it is a private but under state law ALL hospitals that have a ER
have to proved services without asking for proof of payment. Other
words they aren't allowed turn ANYONE away... even if the person only
has a simple cold.
This is why 10 hospitals... all in areas that have high concentration
of illegal immigrants have closed their ER rooms in the past year.
More are set to close their ER rooms in the near future.
The difference is that a private hospital does not run on public funding,
unless they are able to obtain subsidies for the service provided.
Fact: there are approimately 10-20 million illegal hispanics residing
in this country now. Hispanics have high birthrates. There are
anywhere from 1-3 million more coming in here each year. The white
population is on the decline and many say hispanics will be the majority
by 2050. Now does anyone with half a brain believe that an " ethnic
majority" of people living in this country, whose native language is
Spanish is going to adopt ours as their primary language and that this
will continue to be an English dominant country?
How dumb do these pro-illegals think we are anyway?
... in California. Not in the USA.

Half the Hispanics in the US were born here, and their de facto native
language is English.

Extremely.
"Chicano" is by definition a born-here person of Mexican heritage. Most
Chicanos speak English as the primary language, irrespective of whether they
also speak Spanish.
> That means they should know how to speak English

Many people, no matter how well they learn another language, will be more
receptive in the birth tongue. Knowing this, marketers will take advantage
of the opportunity to increase sales by offering services in that language.
Unfortunately for you, there are many language usage studies that support my
statements, many of which I have cited. There are none that support your
position.
You are oblivious to reality. In a report on KTTV last night, it was stated
that the cause was lack of insurance, not "being illegal." They stated that
uninsured individuals were, in the most part, Americans who were unemployed,
worked for companies with no insurance, or self employed and unable to
afford insurance. A portion of that might be illegals, but to say that
illegals are the cause is untrue.
Your turn to present proof. Which I did. Which you can not, except via
anecdotal experience based on your mobile home experiences.
Nope Wrong once again David.. in California ALL hospitals that operate
a ER have to admit anyone for any reason that show up whether it is a
private or public hospital. The reason was back in the 50 and 60's
people had been turned away from private hospitals and died because
they didn't receive treatment. This was a law so save lives so that ER
patients could be taken to the nearest ER room.
It has been abused by the brown horde because they use it as their
primary care physician. And Downey is heavily and I mean 60+%
Hispanic... you can't even get that right.
http://www.presstelegram.com/Stories/0,1413,204~21474~2994640,00.html
Go read... but read between the lines uninsured = illegals and their
family. The hospital is located in a area that has a huge number of
illegals living. Unless you are saaying that huge numbers of "poor"
white are driving for miles to go to this hospital.

Oh God, let her not be on the sample taken! Please! Such outlier
would invalidate the sample!
I am aware of the admission regulations. That does not change the fact that
the Downey Regional is a private institution and has no automatic recourse
for the funding of its losses as public facilities have.

Downey is middle class Hispanic, mostly owner occupied homes, with a median
value in excess of $250,000 dollars. It would be about the least likely
place for illegals to live, as it is realtively expensive. In fact, it is
mostly very nice neighborhoods, especially the ones between Firestone and
the 5 S. of Paramount.

Uninsured does not mean poor. It means, in many cases, self employed, folks
in thier 50's and early 60's who were early retired and have not reached
Medicaid and Medicare age, and folks who work for many smaller businesses
that have no insurance. The Downy area is much more likely to have that sort
of uninsured than illegals.

Fascinating. What's your point? Or are you just tossing around
factoids to confuse, as usual?
More irrelevant factoids. Nice going, Davo.
Bullshit.
That kind of uninsured? You mean Mexicans who might or might not
be illegal, but who've invaded this country within the past 20 or so years.
They all belong in Mexico.
So what? They still have to treat anyone in the ER and eat the costs
of nonpayment.
Without the influx of illegals, the burden of treating the uninsured
would not have reached the level of having to close.

And part of the problem is the ilegal immigration of low skilled and
educated followed by excessive breeding.
The difference being that the losses have to be covered by the owners or
other departments. Public facilities dig into the taxpayers´ pockets.
In a desire to play "pin it on the illegal" this thread is totally
oblivious of the fact that tens of millions of Americans are not insured,
even in Minnesota and places with relatively few immigrants. Small business
can not generally afford insurance, the self employed are often uninsured,
and most early retirees are not, either. The stats are all over the web,
from reliable government sources and independent ones as well.
We have in this instance a health care problem, not an immigration problem.
Are you speaking of Hispanics today, the Irish in the 1840's or the Italians
after 1880?
Obviously he's referring to hispanics today. What's the point
of your ridiculous question?
The Irish and Italians did not seem to hurt the nation, now did they? Yet
they were the cause of much ranting at the time. Real parallel with today's
immigrant bashing.
So does the closing of a hospital.
Minnesota has a large number of immigrants.

Bullshit. Downey, California is packed with Mexicans, legal and illegal.
They're responsible for the closing of the hospital. But spin on, Davo,
as usual.
No hospital is being closed. Small detail.
There was no distinction in the 1800's. Legal vs. illegal did not exist...
It goes "Enter patria caecorum, luscum omia regnat".

The more this country caters to hispanics in their language, the less
chance there will be for any future generations to assimilate to our
language. As I said, compound that with their enormous population
growth and you get the real picture. You know David soils his
underwear and drools on his shirt everytime he thinks about it and that
why he lies. He wants it to happen!!!
No - it will become AMERICAN QUEBEC. There will be a subculture -
very largely limited to illegals and their offspring, and very largely
geographically ghettoized to barrio areas - in which Spanish will be
the dominant, if not sole, language. But - as in Canada - everywhere
else English will remain the sole language.

That's a matter of perspective, genius. To many Americans who lived
during the era of massive Irish and Italian immigration, the Irish and
Italians effected, if not diminished, the quality of their lives and
changed the character and future of the nation in ways not necessarily
viewed favorably by those Americans.
> Yet they were the cause of much ranting at the time. Real parallel with today's immigrant bashing.
Are you claiming that today's massive immigration isn't having widely
negative effects on this nation? Come to think of it, you probably are.
But then your sentiments are with the Mexican invasion ... of course.
You have scant knowledge of US history and no historical perspective.
Actually, many hospitals are being closed, thanks to Mexicans.
The only hospital in the LA area under any threat of closing is M. l. King,
which is an a nearly 100% Black area and has had management and budget
issues for over a year.
All other cases in this area at least have to do with ER services only. And
that is the case of the Downey center.
Even the original headline about the medical center was a lie. The Downey
center is neither closing nor bankrupt. They are just considering closing
the ER... more as a protest to government authorities who require service be
given to anyone, despite the millions they lose.
There are real hospital closings in places like Detroit, Flint, Toledo,
Youngstown, Huntington, Wheeling, etc. None are due to immigration. They are
due to the rising ranks of the uninsured in the US.
So you actually deny that hospitals have closed and other are closing
because of the millions of foreign parasites who use the emergency rooms
and don't pay their bills? You're full of shit. Here's an example of just
how full of shit you are, from nshp.org, the website of the National
Society of Hispanic Professionals.
Bankrupt hospital serving Hispanic immigrants closing
Submitted by Editor on August 16, 2004 - 16:00. Health
Los Angeles, AP - A financially troubled hospital that served as a principal care destination for Hispanic
immigrants must now close its doors and it has many concerned the closure will overwhelm resources in the city's
remaining emergency rooms.
A federal bankruptcy judge Friday ordered the Elastar Community Hospital in East Los Angeles to shut down. The
80-year-old hospital has racked up more than $10 million in debt and it couldn't afford to pay its roughly 400
workers.
The hospital filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection last fall, but it didn't work. It has since been placed
under Chapter 7 protection, which allows for a court-appointed trustee to begin liquidating its assets.
Elastar is the third hospital with an emergency room to close in the county this year.
"We cannot stand any more closures in an emergency system capacity in Los Angeles - this system is on the brink of
absolute chaos," said Jim Lott, the executive vice president of the Hospital Assn. of Southern California.
Since this story cam first out of my own company's newsroom, I know a bit
about it. The hospital failed not due to illegals, but to the uninsured and
legal. It was also severely mismanaged, and the bankruptcy judge and
administrator have found enormous irregularities. I invite you to Google
this all you want... it was exposed by the Channel 34 LA news department.

You have a health care problem that is pushed into insolvency by the
additional burden from illegals.

ccording to http://www.city-data.com/city/Downey-California.html, it's
57.9% Hispanic, with a median home value that's quite low for southern

The lack of capacity to handle the population growth and expanded
social services of the present time, compared to earlier periods of
immigration, seems to elude him

Hardly parallel at all. The social cost spending required in those
earlier times was a pittance compared to what is provided now.
And now it does. That's the point.
And I really don't care if it's legal or illegal. Immigration to
simply provde corporations with cheap labor and higher profits at the
expense of the taxpayer is ourrageous.
Amazing. You'll spin anything, won't you. What exactly don't you understand
about these words: "A financially troubled hospital that served as a
principal care destination for Hispanic immigrants." My argument
isn't merely that illegals cost us, but that Mexicans in general
cost us. They're parasites. They're ruining schools, hospitals,
neighborhoods, anything they touch. And after reading
that article, you claim that gosh, it isn't illegals who are
ruining the hospitals. It's the legals. How would you
or anyone know if the "hispanics" creating the
destruction are legal or illegal, as the media these
days uses the term "immigrants" to describe both
legal and illegal. Frankly, I don't give a shit. They're
Mexicans, parasites, colonists, and you're their apologist
bullshitter.
Yet it is a relatively crime free area, and the neighborhoods are clean, and
the schools relatively good. It's Hispanics' version of the American Dream
in action.
However, the cause is not illegal immigrants. It is the high percentage of
California employers who offer no insurance and the lack of the self
employed to be able to afford insurance.
Your claim has some truth to it. Unions used to protect workers and
insist that employers provide benefits. A result of millions of your beloved
Mexicans storming into this country is the weakening of unions. Nice
going.

Now, after the Reconquista, I guess we could make the nicest gringas
bedwarmers since they can't cook. I'd have a couple of the Dallas

what the hell. All this talk about huevos rancheros just got me
hungry. I guess I am mosing down to the carniceria to see if they have
any carnitas.

Whassamatter, you speak Espa~ol but no Latin?
Spanish is just "vulgar" Latin, influenced by regional pronunciation and
then a lot of slang.
"Enter patria caecorum, luscum omia regnat".
I think I did a very bad conjugation on the concluding verb, and also
did a typographical error (my bad) but it was meant to say "
"{enter patria caecorum}" {"throughout the country of the blind"}
"{luscum omnia regnat}"
"{One-Eye, over all, shall rule}"
Usually it's misquoted as something like "in regione caecoram, luscum
rex imperator omnis" (which I think is actually like "in the land of
blind people, one-eye the king overlords everything"). Sorry, my latin
was never good and is very rusty since nobody speaks it anymore except
for old guys in the Vatican. It's supposed to mean "in the country of
the blind, the one-eyed man is king".
But this reminds me: If you have never read it, you are in for a treat.
Probably everyone will hate me because you will read this and come back
with even more of the "mordant" or "mordacious" wit. Try to find a copy
of "Dangerous Visions", the anthology edited by Harlan Ellison, and read
"Riders of the Purple Wage", by Philip Jose Farmer. You might find
yourself shocked by the prescience of his vision, especially as regards
his expectations of 21st-century trailer-trash on Welfare with InterNet.
You may also never stop laughing. It's also a test of your cultural
literacy in english-literature. Whatever drugs he was on when he wrote
it, I want a metric tonne.
