It is really simple. The United States above anything else believes in
freedom. If you believe in freedom, then you are torn between that goal,
and trying to keep people you do not want into this country. Because after
all, that is why they come to this country in the first place. But of
course there is a simple solution, that you won't hear any politican
propose, or any political party propose. When someone enters this country
illegally, they broke the law of the land, which is why the term that is
used is "illegal". The question you should ask yourself is, if they broke
the law, why are we deporting them, rather than putting them in jail? Is
deportation enough of a punishment to convince them and others not to even
try to enter this country illegally? The obvious answer to that question
is, no it has not really worked. Why hasn't it really worked? Well, there
are two basic reasons. One, no society has been able to stop people from
doing what they want to do and the punishment is not big enough to convince
more of them not to try to enter this country illegally. So, then the
question is, how can you at least convince more of them not to enter this
country illegally? Well, the answer is simple, put them in jail, and more
of them would not come to this country, because then the reward is not worth
the risk. But then the question becomes, will that solve the problem? The
answer is, it will solve part of the problem, but not all of the problem.
So, what else can we do? Well, one thing we can do is have something like a
three strikes law. The first time you enter this country, you can send them
back. The second time they enter this country and get caught, you can put
them in jail for say six months. The third time they enter this country and
are caught, they serve a longer sentence. Eventually, if you keep putting
them in jail for a longer and longer period of time, every time they are
caught, more of them would say, the cost is not worth it. But as I said,
that is a nice idea, but no politician is going to support that, unless the
"people" demand that be done. So, ultimately if we think it is a serious
problem, then it is our responsibility to convince the politicians that is
what needs to be done. But of course that raises another problem, getting
enough of the "people" to support such an idea, which I suspect would be a
hard sell. So, the bottom line is, we will be having this conversation for
generation and generation, without a solution. Of course there is one
solution that really does not require any of these proposals to be
implemented. People live the country of their birth, because they believe
that they have a shot at a better life in another country. So, the real
solution is to figure out a way that they would not want to do that. After
all, most Americans don't even think about entering another country
illegally, because they know that they don't have to, in order to live that
better life.

No wonder the poster does not understand any of the things that he
wrote. It is because it's all a bunch of gross exaggerations and lies.
The government of most countries in the world do not have the resources
to go after illegal immigrants. They're generally ignored and they can
come out of the shadows to legalize themselves.
The U.S is the only country that makes a big deal about illegal
immigration. Illegal immigrants are not entitled to any government
benefits in the U.S except equal protection under the laws.

Do you realize how expensive it would be to round up and jail millions
of undocumented immigrants at a time when everybody is concerned about
government spending?
The only effective solution is to make the countries in the immediate
neighborhood as good and as livable as the United states.
That will be achieved only through greater North American integration.

Sounds like a GREAT spending program for Porkulus monies since we get
MORE BACK than we spend.

That's not our responsibility.

So we should invade and conquer Mexico?

GREAT IDEA!

Any idea of the political and economic consequences that would result
from half of Mexico moving north? The Communists do. They're all for it.
And you can bet that any further acceptance of this invasion will
encourage more comers. Yet you recommend giving up and kissing freedom
and liberty good-bye.

For shame.

"greater North American integration"

You sound like a Raza member. Or a Tri-Lateralist.

As the Mexican population grows in the US and jobs remain scarce,
will you move out of your house when Mexicans demand to live first
in your back yard, then your tool shed and eventually move in with
you? No, I think you wouldn't like that. But by then it would be too
late. Machetes would end your family's existence. M13 would see to
that.

The best place to stop them is at our border, not our doorways.

Wow! That was profound wasn't it? One might think that's what
national borders are for!

No sense in jailing or shipping them out when they just come back.

It wouldn't cost much at all.

If bodies of illegal aliens began littering the streets of America I'd
predict a mass exodus of illegal aliens heading south. Wouldn't take
many, perhaps 100 bodies a day around each of the major cities for a
few weeks with occasional follow ups to convince the stragglers.

Now why didn't you think of that?

Americans must take a stand and defend their values and right to
control their territory or nothing will remain.

Man up and act like the American you once were.

If you want to solve the problem, then don't complain about how much money
it would cost to solve the problem. When you say the cost is too hgih, you
are saying that you don't believe it is a big problem.

Well, the first part is right. The second part is not necesarily right. It
might help, but it does not guanantee that the problem will be solved by
greater integration. Other factors come into play. One that comes to mind,
is the level of crime, and the other is the level of corruption.

"The Communists?" And which "Communists" would that be? The ones
hiding under your bed?

"Raza?" "Tri-Lateralist?"

You need a new hat. Wear it shiny side out.

You appear to be posting from Hawaii. Hawaii is now a fine piece of real
estate because they are now integrated with the United States. Same
would go for Mexico and Central America.
Puerto Rico is an American commonwealth. Are all Puerto Ricans criminals?

What more can we do for Mexico? Hundreds of American companies have
moved there. We have bailed them out financially, and are sending
hundreds of millions of dollars, and equipment to fight the drug cartels.

You are silly and naive if you think that global conspiracies don't
exist..

Iraq was invaded by conspiracy
East Europe was occupied by Soviets for half a century - by conspiracy
The EU was founded by socialist conspiracy
The WTO is a conspiracy

and more recently we are facing a proposed global tax to fund the UN..
and a conspiratorial global 'carbon tax'.

But all that doesn't matter regarding criminals that are BREAKING US
LAW by swarming across US borders anyway.
What matters is that I and other US citizens demand that illegal
border crossing criminals be arrested and removed from our country.

Our country - not theirs.

You never comprehend that illegals are not welcomed in most nation
in the world.
In France, there is no birth-right citizenship. Ilegal aliens in USA
is no doubt
being treated as the very best illegals in the world. They can kick
out native-citizen
in job market. Are you sure illegal alien do not replaced native-
citizen job by
bring down wage and work like slaver?

In other countries- you can get a work permit, you can live there, but not
be a citizen, not vote, not get citizen benefits like health care
(socialized countries) Just stand in line for a background check, get your
papers. When there are no jobs left, then the border closes.

The so-called "American" citizen is loudly advocating that The Land of
The Free and The Home of The Brave follows the leadership of

- China
- North Korea
- Iran

(plus those inferior European and Mexican countries).

Then he wonders why We The People ignore his pleas...
