The peaceful verses are also known as the Meccan verses.
The war verses are mostly after the Hejira (he flight of Muhammad from Mecca
to Medina in 622) at which time the islamic calendar starts and he became a
true warrior prophet.
The war verses(or verses of the sword) supplant the previous peaceful verses
by what is known as koranic abrogation. The most blatant example is 'there
is no compulsion in religion' as opposed to 'continue to fight until the
only religion [in the world] is allah's'.
As you know now, the 'kill the dogs' order is in the hadiths.

conflated two different things. But insofar as the hadiths, that is an
interesting theory that I have not heard before. For a hadith to be
accepted I think there was some kind of corroboration required -- 3 people
in most cases or summat like that.

It was unethically imposed against the will of the local population as

fanatics who repeatedly outstay their welcome in other countries (I
think 79 is the last count) and the numerous normal and innocent jews
expelled alongside them. I'm not surprised you don' want to live
there, but if you want to live elsewhere quit whining or you'll
