Q: What do you get when you crossbreed people whose respective religions
focus on burning heretics alive and cutting the living hearts out of war
captives?
A: Mexicans.
You should know that the Spanish Inquisition also burn some victims,
certainly in a less scale, probably in the rate of one to ten or fifteen,
compared to the Protestant nations, but nevertheless significant.

I'm not talking about the descendents of the VICTIMS of these practices,
but the descendents of the PERPETRATORS (i.e. the Spaniards and the
Aztecs). :-)
Bubi,
Time to obliterate this nonsense of "Our economy will collapse without
these 'immigrants'!" I am getting very fed-up with the new media
nonsense response being used to attempt to derail any real, sane
"immigration reform". Why do we need immigration reform any way? Our
original immigration policies were just fine before Lyndon Baines
Johnson's tinkering! DEPORT! DEPORT! DEPOR
Let me try to see if you can understand the problem. Take France, for
instance. Assume they have just caught ten black illegals in Paris. They are
undocumented, without any papers. As usual, illegals won't cooperate with
the police. France may suspect that they are from Nigeria, because they
speak English, but they won't be certain. Should they just throw them into
the UK, since they speak English? Send them to Nigeria? (they may be from
any English-speaking country, such as Liberia or Sierra Leone, not from
Nigeria). Where are these people deported to? France can tell UK or Nigeria
"Take them. They must be yours. Not ours" but neither UK nor Nigeria will
accept them back unless clearly convinced that they are from their country.
Same in the US. You take an illegal, not just by the border, but somewhere
else. If the illegal does not collaborate, you have 1) to ascertain his
nationality beyond any doubt; language or accent is not enough, and 2) have
the other country willing to accept him back, which won't happen unless they
are totally sure he's a citizen of that country. Assuming that they are just
Mexicans won't work, even knowing that two thirds of illegal immigrants are
Mexican.
Let me tell you. Without collaboration from the illegals to be deported,
this is an almost impossible task. You may end with thousands of jails full
of people to be deported, but since they cost money and cause trouble, the
government will have but one solution: free them.

Sorry, I misread; I thought you said most of the victims were
Protestants. You are absolutely right about the Protestants burning
so-called witches, along with Catholics. Medieval Protestants behaved
just as badly as the medieval Catholics.
Good God, now we've come the root of GringoGirl's insanity. It's LBJ's
fault!
Why don't you print up some fliers and hand them out at the
supermarket, GG?
If she goes to the supermarket, she will be promptly removed by the
security personnel, and delivered to the nearest insane asylum, where
she will hopefully be surrounded by a bunch of mexicanos locos.

ps: meanwhile this is what the supermarkets are doing:
