According to reports, before he murdered over a dozen people, Malik Hassan
said before his assembled victims: "Allahu Akbar".

Really heart warming to see someone who works so religiously.............

Considering the harm done by the murderers of British servicemen and
Afghani/Iraqi civilians, "these loons" are no worse than the murderers
who never get splattered in blood, ie those found in Washington and London!

Well the first picture has them writing stuff in English, which I don't
think they use there.

The second one looks like a normal Sabbath service with the hand written
scrolls and ten blokes and all the rest of it.

The third one looks a bit odd as the prayer shawl hasn't any fringes and
ultra orthodox Jews who dress like that always wear a beard.

Number four is an obvious fake, one of the ram's horn blowers isn't
wearing a prayer shawl, which I think is a requirement to blow the
thing, and no drums are used in Jewish services.

Then there's a picture of a bloke lifting a 8" shell by himself,
obviously a demonstration dummy.

So all the 'Jews' look like they're either going about their lawful
business or are fakes...

The rest is the usual Palivision casualty snaps that everyone's seen
before, at least a dozen times...

Nope, it's all bollocks, but keep on trying son, you're giving me a
laugh on a cold wet evening...

Well actually, to be honest on the matter, it must be admitted that
Muslims have killed nowhere near as many people as Christians have,
albeit not necessarily in the direct name of Christianity. There are
more than a milliard (that's what ignorant people call a billion)
Muslims in the world. They have probably killed about 10,000 people at
the very most since WWII during 'acts of war'. Quid 'Christians' such as
Bush and Blair?

Join the army of the enemy, and shoot him in the back.
Seems to be working well in Afghanistan, and is the reason why a

IIUC Maria coined the term loon to refer to perpetrators of isolated off
the wall acts of violence in the west related to the Iraq/Afghanistan
conflicts. Wellington was clearly no loon in that sense. Murderer may
seem a harsh term for the great and mighty, but sending people to their
deaths is a serious business no matter who is doing it, and no matter
what lies are told to justify it.

Wellington certainly did get blood splattered at Waterloo.

Uxbridge: 'By God Sir, I've lost me leg.'

Wellington: 'By God Sir, so you have.'

In fact every one of his personal staff was hit. He was the only man in
the staff group who wasn't hit, although he certainly came under direct
fire at least once.

John Keegan in his book 'The Mask of Command: A Study of Generalship'
goes into Wellington's personal qualities and the circumstances in some
detail, stressing that at Waterloo he was probably the last British
commanding general to expose himself deliberately to enemy fire.

Why do I have to point to anything contained in the "New Testament"?

Ha? LOL?

Is that supposed to mean something?

Are you saying that the Christians have completely discarded the entire
Old Testament?

Why are you only concerned with something that might (or might not) be
contained in the "New Testament"?

THE Stranger within my gate,
He may be true or kind,
But he does not talk my talk —
I cannot feel his mind.
I see the face and the eyes and the mouth,
But not the soul behind.

The men of my own stock
They may do ill or well,
But they tell the lies I am wonted to,
They are used to the lies I tell.
And we do not need interpreters
When we go to buy and sell.

The Stranger within my gates,
He may be evil or good,
But I cannot tell what powers control —
What reasons sway his mood;
Nor when the Gods of his far-off land
Shall repossess his blood.

The men of my own stock,
Bitter bad they may be,
But, at least, they hear the things I hear,
And see the things I see;
And whatever I think of them and their likes
They think of the likes of me.

This was my father's belief
And this is also mine:
Let the corn be all one sheaf —
And the grapes be all one vine,
Ere our children's teeth are set on edge
By bitter bread and wine.

It means much more than your underhanded attempt. You want to set the

you.

I told you already. You can't handle it.

Look, I will put this as simply as possible:

First -- the sect is called "Christian" that is after person referred to
as "The Christ". He has no appearance prior to the New Testament.

Second -- Not even the jews of today practice Mosaic Law. Which is where
you were going.......so predictably.....whether you know that's what it is
called or not. Have the Jews killed any Malachites lately? Seen any Jews
stoned at the city gates recently?

Since I already know your next predictable move, I hope that you will
surprise me...................

Google is ready when you are..................

Yes, bertie, you deserve a hearty

LOL!

Uxbridge was famously extremely close to Wellington when his leg was
shot off.

You were extremely remiss in saying Wellington was never in the firing line.

You bollixed it son, now you get to be laughed at by everyone who's
read a reasonably well known book by a very well known historian...

Although the movie 'Waterloo' relates the event pretty much as it came
to us in accounts of the battle...

As I very carefully indicated, I get my history from books.

As I reasoned you probably have a problem with books I gave you an
alternative.

It seems you not only don't read books, you don't read Usenet articles
either...

It's nice that the idiot ignores the genocide of non-muslimes being

the Sudan/Darfur region.

I use facts and arguments, things you run out of very quickly which is
why you are the one who rapidly descends into insults. Bullshit and
bluster, you just don't have much else.

Which is why you Americans keep messing up so badly around the world.
You go in with guns blazing and kicking ass wherever you see it with
all the subtlety of a bull in a china shop.

And you end up with everybody disliking you. Not that you worry about
it, just kick some more ass and all will be well, eh?

You really don't have a clue.

Actually I think that ending tyranny is a decent and wholesome objective
- what is wrong is when the ideology gets in the way of reality and the
likely outcome is even more tyranny. Personally I would have left Saddam
where he was, because he knew how to hold down the suicide cultists who
are now murdering Iraqis that we thought were oppressed by Saddam in the
first place.
In Afghanistan, I would just fence it off and leave it to stew until
they are ready for governance. Other than that, we would have to be
prepared to be there en masse and show absolutely no mercy in order to
'win', and then stay there for a couple of generations to keep the
peace. After all that, I have to say 'what's in it for us'?
They won't even napalm the poppy fields to cut off their funding...

The Takbir is uttered by Muslims in all sorts of circumstances, especially
times of high stress, it provides little or no insight into the motives of
the assailant other than he is a Muslim and is in no way necessarily
indicative that he feels he is doing gods work. A Muslim might well repeat
the Takbir whilst lying injured following a car accident. It would be
surprising if a devout Muslim did not recite the Takbir during a moment when
he thought death was imminent.

It might well be that the Major was committing an act of Jihad, who knows.
But what is clear is that the suggestion that the use of the Takbir is
evidence of Jihadi intent says more about the ignorance of the commentator
than the motives of the perpetrator. So no surprises there then

from the Hejira -- "the flight [for his life] of Muhammad from Mecca to
Medina in 622 a.d., marking the beginning of the Muslim era" --
remembering that much of the Koran was written prior to the Hejira, and
islam was already in existence.
