If there's one thing militias and their critics can agree on, it's the
fact that this pro-gun and anti-Obama movement is growing in the United
States. That begs the question, "who are these guys?"

Not to be confused with
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minutemen_(anti-Communist_organization)
DePugh, who died this summer, had an interesting take on survival rations:
dry dog foot. Cheap, nutritious, and good storage characteristics. Of
course, that was before the Chinese got into the adulterated pet food
business and you could assume a bag of Purina Dog Chow wouldn't chow the
dog.
He might have had a point. I used to load out of the Ralston Purina plant in
Denver; the guy with the forklift came from the same direction whether he
was loading Wheat Chex or Tender Vittles.
I'm glad that Wikipedia limits the scope of their discussion to the
long ago, original Minutemen of the times of the Revolution. Indeed,
they were good Americans, even if historical revisionists try to
diminish their bravery and honor.
Thanks for the URL.
LOL. I recall that Jack Kerouac wrote in "On the Road" that the
Chicken of the Sea tuna cannery in Long Beach, California also canned
some brand of cat food on the same assembly line, at least back in
1949. Either the cats got some damned good tuna or the humans were
eating cat food.
I recall back in the '70s as a lot of the old fallout shelters were
being phased out by the Dept. of Civil Defense in the belief that
nuclear war was unsurvivable, people were raiding them for the
biscuits for eating and the tranquilizer tablets that were supposed to
keep everyone mellow in the nuclear apocolypse. I copped a few gieger
counters and REM meters which I still have to this day.
Side note...anyone know of good CHEAP dogfood? Ive got 9 dogs eating my
wallet empty.
Shrug..My regular 4..and 5 long term rescues.
If you find out, I'd like to know. I just paid $50 for a 30 pound bag
of dog food for our Cao de Fila de Sao Miguel pooch here in Gold Hill,
Colorado. Be glad you don't have horses, assuming you don't. Not to

feed them nothing but biscuits, of course they would. Biscuits are
just a carb source. They never did have many vitamins in them.

I visited a sardine cannery in Maine in the 70's. Utilization of the fish
started when the boats sucked them out of the weirs and passed them over
chutes lined with hardware cloth to descale them. The scales were sold,
ground up, and used to make opalescent shirt buttons. A lot of ladies sat
on both sides of an under and over conveyor belt. They would scoops fish
off the belt, cut them to fit the cans with scissors, and push the heads
back onto the belt. The scraps went out the back door and were either sold
locally for lobster bait or to pet food producers.
The squeamish might swear off sardines after the tour, but I was impressed
by the efficiency of the operation.

If you are organizing neighbors for self-defense and mutual aid
societies -- nothing acts as a glue to unite a community more than
children. Neighbors, sheriffs deputies, and friends will drop
whatever they are doing if a family with kids is in need or under

However, the horses food grows in your yard and is mowed twice a week
in the summer.
The kids food requires constant work in the garden of much more money
to buy.
A large round bail is about $15 here.
;-)
What a joke.
And some compare these clowns to the minutemen of 1776.
In 1776 the militia was used to protect people from Indian attacks as
well as to keep the peace from roving bandit gangs.
It was not formed as a way to fight the government, even though it was
used for that eventually.
Unless these guys are doing patrols in the ghetto, fighting off gangs,
they are nothing like the minuet men of old.
And the guy that they showed was a joke to the 10th power.
There he is, with his government retirement for the royal, his
government employee health care for the royal, and his government
union job for the royal.
No wonder he is completely blind about what the rest of us peasants

Just look at him.
I bet he couldn’t last a week packing and fighting in a real war.
Yet he is thinking he is some kind of deterrent to the government?
Then we have the kids.
What is he, opposed to birth control?
Does the post office really pay so well that he can support that
family on just his wages?
If so, then he is way over paid.
If not, he is on government assistance.

No, the liberal democrat dogs are the ones you see sniffing each

I have no idea what you're question is about. Can you reword it as a
statement instead of a question so that it conveys your thoughts on
the matter?
Should a living wage and huge bonuses be reserved only for Wall Street
and Main Street CEO's who fail and drive their respective businesses
into bankruptcy either through criminal intent of incompetence?
Should real paychecks be reserved only for the Bernie Madoffs and
Kenneth Lays of the world? Should government money only be given to
the banksters and Wall Street criminals while the rest of us have our
standard of living reduced to that of a failed Hispanic Third World so-
called nation?
You may be right. I'll have to investigate that further.

You're a good man. A hero. God bless you. We raised 4 kids of our
own and then took in kids left orphaned after the Marxists and
liberals overthrew the white governments in Rhodesia and South
Africa. You know, the farmers who were murdered by Zanu PF and the
ANC actually had kids whose only crime was being white. See the photo
captioned "Our Gang" here:
http://www.rescuewithoutborders.org/id293.html
The four grown up kids on top row on the right are mine. The other
kids are orphans from South Africa -- victims of farm invasions. We
took the picture in Avalon on Santa Catalina island off of California
when we took a Carnival Cruise ship vacation a year ago. The photo
below that is in my back yard in Boulder, Colorado. The little girl
is the orphaned daughter of a farmer killed in one of the farm raids
in Zimbabwe by Zanu PF war veterans. Scroll all the way to the bottom
and see a photo of our oldest adopted South African orphan. Our dog
was adopted after the Hayman fire burned 68,000 acres in Colorado and
left 300 dogs without homes at the Boulder Humane Society. We always
adopt dogs from the shelters.
See the pages on my website titled "Ian Smith Was Right" and "The
Stranger" if you're interested. All the children in the photos are
kids orphaned after the Kremlin, London and Washington overthrew the
white governments in Africa.

Today, those roving bandit gangs rove the ghettos.

The fact that if there is no government health care, then the only
option for most people is to steel the health care like you do.
If there is no government retirement, then there is nothing to support
the elderly.
And both of these things is due to the rich being allowed to force
tyrant activities onto there workers while refusing to pay enough to
allow the workers to make a profit.
But you know this if you are not a idiot.
After all, with your home job and a wage of $75 a hour you still have
to steel health care.
Well, maybe you didn’t have to, if you just managed your life better.
But that is you route anyway.
None the less, for the majority of people, there is no choice.

Only if she continues down the same idiot road as her dad.
The government can be changed legally, so there is no need for some
McVay type to come wreck things for no good reason other then his own
mental deficiency.
I think a person should be paid based on the work he did, despite if
it is for the government or not, and all workers should be able to
live off there wages.
That is not the case for the majority of workers.
Not due to the worker, but do the low wages paid.
Only the rich and there government henchmen get a living in America.
The ones that actually do the work that paid all these loafers a wage
gets nothing.
Lets see, you lie to the doctor and then stiff him on his bill because
you can’t afford health care, yet you apparently think you can afford
spending all your money on pets.
You take in lousy dogs and cats, but think taking care of the elderly
and disabled hard working tax payer after they can no longer work is a
sin.
You think paying back the cost of your education is wrong.
Yes, the problem is you.
If ever there existed an indictment of the American public school system for
it's failure to educate in even the most basic facts, you are indeed, exhibit

dogs in one hand..and in the other..I have $20 and a $250,000
bill...which one do you think is going to take precidence?
Now if I had $250,020.00...everyone would be happy.
Since you have a good grip on the world ..ahum...what would you suggest
I do?
I could act just like 25% of the American public and go bankrupt..and go
out and buy a DVD player instead of feeding the dogs..or?
Ill be waiting with interest for your suggestions.
Oh yes indeed I will.

Actually..Im not. <G> But hey..if fucktards like you can do an ESP

Im largely dont smoking, the shooting hobby hasnt cost me a thing...I
have a reasonable quantity of powders, bullets and primers stocked
away...for at least another 5 yrs ...at least. Even when the Great
Cull comes and people have to borrow ammo from me to kill you ..Ill
have enough.
As for the dogs..yep. I pay about $25 a week to feed 9 dogs and an
undetermined number of cats. All adoptees. All dogs that I rescued.
How many have you rescued? Be specific. And give me where you rescued
them from and why.
Failure to do so will simply prove you to be the utter fucktard
everyone knows you to be.

You da man, Gunner. My wife and I have to discipline each other constantly.
We have 5 dogs, 7 cats, 6 goats, 2 Peking and 6 Muscovy ducks, 5 guniea hens
(I really like these guys) and an untold number of chickens. I'm an absoluite
schmuck for a mistreated animal. Out where we are we get drop offs
occasionally. We were able to find a home for one, one kept going and lives
somewhere up behind us now and one little Penny has stayed. Only 1 cat is
left that came with us from VA, the rest are all "oh look at the little
kitty". Well except for Chester, a friend of Ann rescued him and somehow we
ended up with him, the rest came as kittens, dumps at the vet, 2 more from
Ann's friend and a stray a friend of my daughter found.
We have something called FreeCycle and CheapCycle mailing lists, basically
people can buy sell or give away stuff. I love looking through 'cause we've
gotten some very useful stuff cheap - like a full size freezer for $50.
Unfortuneately there are always dogs, cats and more. We almost took in
another one 3 weeks ago but the owners decided they were going to try and
work it out as there nieces were very attached to the dog already. And my
lunatic wife is always on the look out for more farm animals. The last 2 girl
goats we got free and they had been pretty much left to fend for themselves
eating nothing but grass. They were thin as Hell when they got here, not so
much anymore. Meanwhile my son wants pigs and everyone wants cows and horses
and they are available for a song around here as people have more and more
trouble caring for them. I simply "don't have time" to fix the fence out back
which keeps the horses and cows at bay and I told the boy that pigs only
serve one function - pork chops. The chickens and ducks keep us in eggs and
the goats keep us in milk. The guineas, well they are sorta like watch birds
they make a hell of a lot of noise when disturbed.
I get it. As bad off as we (you and I are) there are creatures worse off and
we do what we can.
Shame the lins don't get it.
>Shame the libs don't get it.
The Libs will kick in almost any amount of someone elses money and
time to treat their "Issue of the Moment"...but try to get them to get
off their fat asses and get their hands dirty...snicker..simply aint
happening
People have resouces..generally Welfare, charity etc etc..and the
majority of them in the past have been needing help because of their
own stupidity.
Critters are victims of their peoples stupidity.
One does what one can for the helpless.
And My DEEPEST respects for your endevors trying to take care of those
creatures that have no others to help them out..or put them at risk
in the first place
Kudos! Gunner
I told my son, ain't nothing pisses me off more than someone hurting an
animal. It just seems so incredibly cruel to abuse a domesticated anumal that
has come to depend on man. And if they'll hurt an animal they can't be
trusted with people.
We actually had a boarder for awhile who was raising rabbits, we rented 2
stalls in the barn. She turned out to be a gen-u-wyne mental case. I warned
her several time I would not tolerate it if I thought she wasn't caring for
them properly. I eventually turned her in to Animal Control and they came and
took the rabbits and charged with with neglect, etc. We tried to take care of
them, she was supposed to be paying my son extra to take care of things when
she wasn't there. Big freaking expert, she killed 2 litters, the first one I
don't know how, the second she had put the momma in the wrong kind of
enclosure, the babies all fell out and were dead by the time we found them.
To say I was pissed would have been an understatment. Fortunately animal
control had been out there once already so when I called they came and got
them. I didn't want to just throw her out as she'd have just taken 'em
elsewhere.
If I ever lose it and cap someone in a fit of rage it will be because of some
thing they've done to an animal.
We even had a problem with some neighbors at first, when we started with the
chickens. Neighbor dogs were running loose and taking birds that got outside
the fence. I had to tell the owners that I would shoot them if I saw them on
the property near our birds and that if I had to shoot thier dogs and live
with that image because they couldn't control thier dogs we were really going
to have problems.
Anyway, keep up the good work, too, and try not to rescue any more than you
can afford to feed. 8)
Chester is on the chair behind me bumping my arm and purring as I type this.
Little Bit is in my lap, and Sadie is under my chair, as I type this.
The newest varmint...Stupid Dog..AKA Princess is crashed besides me,
with one paw on my foot. Woodie and Sadie are my Daily
Dogs..chuckle..my work crew that go everywhere with me.

Poppa little helpers...thats a picture from about a year ago when
they were only 4-5 months old and their momma. Sandie is the blond
one..Woodie is the tri color merle. Dad is a big Golden Retriever. I
let mom have a litter once a year, but only after I have 10-12 people
who want a pup. These are great!! family dogs, companion dogs.
I dont sell them..but you wont get one without a very good pedigree
<G>
Ive got hummm 60 of them scattered around California, Washington and
Oregon. One guy came through..picked up his dog (it chose him) and a
year later..flew his airplane down from Oregon and picked up 2 more
for his family members. I occasionally get photos from other owners
showing off their dogs. Makes me feel good.
I took back one one time. Guy turned out to be an alky with terminal
cancer..took out his frustration on his dog. We had a..."settlement"
and I picked up the dog, worked with her for 4 months and then found
her a loving home. She is doing marvelous. The previous owner..died
not long after our "settlement". Shrug.
The 5 I have in the kennel in the back, are Lost Children. Old or lame
or simply crippled. One is goofy as hell. Runs from people, huddles
against other dogs. I got her from someone who took her away from a
Mex who beat her daily. I think the Mex had a "settlement" too, based
on what the fellow told me....<VBG>
Shrug...
Need another dog? Hummm Ike is a German Shepherd/Aussie cross.
Probably 60lbs..timid but very loving. Duke is an unknown breed,
probably shepherd and lab. Friendly dog, is crippled on the left
front. I think he was hit by a car before I got him. Doesnt seem to
slow him down much. He cost me a fair amount of money getting the
shoulder healed up. Ugly dog, but good companion stock. Ive had him
and Ike for about 4-5 yrs. Got em when they were less than a year
old..about 4 months apart. Found em tied up to my porch a month or so
apart. Duke had been hit/crippled a few days before showing up at my
place. I figure someone knew about me, and couldnt afford to have him
fixed up, so tied him off at my place in the middle of the night. Ive
gotten a number of dogs and cats that way. Few months ago..I got up
and headed for my truck..big box on my sidewalk..momma kitty and 8
kittens. Found em all homes, thanks be. Getting harder to find homes,
with the economy so fucked up. Getting harder to feed em too. Sigh

Lesse Penny the Jack Russel is sleeping under my desk right now. SHe came to
us in June, someone dumped her and another JRT on our road. The forst seemed
a little nuerotic and wouldn't house train. She took off one day and didn't
come back, but we here her barking up the hill. Fella up the street who saw
them get dumped says she's up there wiht another family. Penny is my constant
companion it seems, always at my side, sleeps with me, sometimes she goes up
and snuggles with Ann before I retire. Rides with me to drop off and pick up
the kids from school and just about anywhere else. She even comes into the
store with me, sometimes. I filt self conscious at first as she's so small
and I had to get her a little sweater as it's getting cold and she is most
definitely short haired and she looks real girlie. But man, of I was single,
holy cow is she a girl magnet. I have her in a harness all the time because
these little buggers love to run!
Petey is my Pit Bull. Belonged to soemone I worked with who had one to many
dogs. I do not know where the Pits got thier reputation, he is about the
sweetest dog I've ever seen. VERY tolerant of my 6 yo. Just a happy drooling
dog. OTOH I don't think I'd want to be the organ donor that touched Josie or
my wife with him around. He's growled at a few things, I think if he meant
business it would be an ugly thing. He's kind of a bed hog when he sleeps
with us.
Athena is a australian shepard/lab mix. Got her at a give away at a Feeders.
I call her big red. Gorgeous, but has lots of lab energy and love, wears you
out sometimes. Her and Petey run in the fenced yard I put up, they are the
house dogs. Had a neighbor dog come up the driveway, round Christmas last
year. Athena went over the fence and had a settlement with him and he hasn't
been back. She jumps still once and again but she doesn't go anywhere and
comes right back when you call her. Really good with the livestock.
Penny has no problem trying to bully both of them, but the big dogs cut her
slack as she's so small. And when she's in thier yard she behaves.
Harley and Carley are the Great Pyreenes. Ann bought both of them. Harley had
scabies though and it was touch and go for awhile, the guy who sold him to my
my was horrified to hear and and gave Ann her money back. Carley we got from
a farm in another state. They are both pure breds though we don't have papers
on them. They are the barn dogs and seem to like thier role, though Harley
would just as soon rest his head on Ann's lap and have her love on him. They
are sweet and dopey but still yong and every once in abit they alert to
something and you remember why you have them. They actually get along fine
with the goats but they like to chase the birds, Carley just to watch them
run, but Harley wants to play with them. Not good, but he's learning.
We're going to try and breed them as GPs seem to be highly desireable as
livestock guards in this area.
I know I'm going to break down and get another before to long.
When we had our first kids, it was momma's first time. The biy was up and
getting groomed when I found them, the gorl was laying down and momma didn't
seem to be paying attention to her. It was mid winter and cold. i bundled her
up and brought her inside. Dried her off, put her ina cat bed and turned a
heater on her. Stayed with her for 24 hours straight until she was up on her
own and then took her back to momma. I think she tinks I'm one of parents,
her and her brother act more like dogs. They will follow you around and will
beg to be petted like a dog. Buster and Thumbelina both will grab your pants
leg for attention. Momma wasn't sure about us at forst, but sh'e come round,
another one that loves a good scratch. The wether has to keep up his tough
guy act theough you can tell he wants to give in and the 2 girls that were
mistreated are starting to trust us more.
Way to much fun. I was a suburban boy born and raised, now I'm putting up
farm wire fence, fixing board fence, fixing barns, building chicken coops. If
we could actually make money on this farming thing it might be fun, but I've
run the numbers. We sell eggs when we have to many (or I give the pastor a
couple dozen for his kids) and Ann makes soap from the goat milk. Stuff is
really nice but I doubt we'll ever hit a volume that will let us leave the
land of the cubicles behind. To bad.
I appreciate your offer of a dog from your litters but I think we'll most
likely have another drop off before long, seems to be be about every 6 months
or so. That or I'll get softheaded elsewhere.
<G>. Now Ive got one of the nameless cats in my lap and one sleeping
on the monitor. I stopped naming most of them as they come and
go..and often times disappear. Coyotes love cats. And my cats..being
raised around dogs..sometimes dont recognize them as a danger. I had
a coyote hang around one morning..and as I grabbed a rifle, one of the
young cats walked right up to it and head bumped it a couple times.
The coyote was surprised as hell for a few seconds..and then as the
cat started to wander off..hunkered down in "spring and kill"
mode..eyes fixed on the cat. He simply laid down and died a second
later. Shrug. Ive kiled about 40 coyotes here on the property in the
past 28 yrs..all of them hunting cats or dogs. We are again in the
middle of a long 5-7 yrs drought..and they are coming into town for
vittles. I dont mind em turning over a trash can now and then..but
hunting cats and kit foxes...that puts em on the dead list.
Speaking of pit bulls..Ive killed 23 of them in the past 8 yrs...on my
property and misbehaving.
Sigh...we have far far too many low lives who use pit bulls for
fighting..and to make their dicks bigger. Dumb bastards who breed pups
back to the mother again and again..and then let em run free. Some
years ago, a pair of them attacked my wife at a rural bus stop. Chewed
her up pretty good. Earlier that day they had chewed up a pregnant
Mex lady. Buddy of mine is head of local animal control and he
investigated the situation, fined the shit out of the owners and had
the dogs put down. Before I did it. I sued them for her medical
bills..but they didnt have a cent..and moved ..evicted shortly after I
got the judgement.
Pits can be cool dogs..but when they are so damned inbred that they
are mindless killing machines...they get dead.
I keep a Sheridan 22. Blue Streak pellet gun close to hand. When a pit
comes around..I watch it. If it chases a cat..I hit it with 2 pumps.
If it ignores it..I put 10 pumps in it. Then shoot em in the eye or
ear. Then I scoop em up and put em in the dumpster. Some of the big
ones..I shoot in the guts..and let em go home and die. I have
problems with pit bulls around here. Most of them. Not all..but
..shrug...
Walked out in the front yard one morning..found 2 big pits Id warned
the owner about a number of times, with one of my cats in each of
their mouths..about 5 feet apart. Grabbed the old kitty ass and head
and simply backed away from each other and tore her in half. Then
they saw me..they stopped, growled, showed teeth and hunkered in
attack position and then fell over and died.. Made me glad I normally
carry a .45 on my person. Buddy down the street heard the
shots..swore he only heard 1 but saw both dogs go down. We put em in
his pickup truck and dumped em in the owners front yard..after taking
pictures of them in my yard, the shredded cat and so forth. The owner
stood mute as we pushed em out of the back of the truck in his
driveway.
Dont like most pits around here..too damned inbred.
But have friends with lovable ones. Ones I wont generally let my dogs
out of the truck to play with..shrug.... call me a pit bigot. Some
really good ones out there..but in this area...
Buddy of mine runs a engine grinding business. From India. Has a
pureblood pit. Dog doesnt have much personality..but he loves me. I
walk in the door and he comes out of the office and tries to climp up.
Damned thing is a good 70 lbs..so I got to pick him up..cuddle him,
let him lick my face and nibble my ears..then put him back down and
scratch his chest and back. Then he goes back into the office and goes
to sleep. No matter if Ive been there 2 weeks ago, or just came back
from the MickyDs..shrug...<G>
He took on a couple Mex's in June..guys broke in to steal tools..and
DJ chewed the living shit out of both of them. Badly enough that when
the screaming was heard by neighbors and the cops were called..found
em laying outside the 6' chainlink fence unable to flee. 10-8 with 2
10-15s to the county hospital in Bakersfield... <VBG>. I brought him
a box of animal snacks the next day. He ate em gently from my fingers.
Him I like. Evil looking bastard too...<G>
Both of us...chuckle.
Gunner
So, you are saying you are a lib?
You kick in the entire medical bill of yours by expecting not only the
doctor, and the hospital to pay for you health care, but you also
expect every paying customer of the doctor and the hospital to pay for
it because that is where the money came from.
You have resources like the VA medical (who is the only doctor that I
have ever seen that I did not pay for because they did not charge me)
and a machine shop and yet you choose to set on your fat ass and steel
medical treatment instead of using VA as much as possible and paying
the others from the money generated from your machine shop.
Even if you can’t do the work yourself, you can farm it out to other
unemployed people.
But then, you would have to put out effort and show intelligence to do
that, so you don’t.
And that doesn’t even mention the resource of medical insurance that
you should have been able to afford if you really were trying to do
the right thing instead of belittling others for being better then
you.
Then we come to the fact that libs are kicking in there own money
because they (unlike you) pay taxes and that tax money is what is
being kicked in.
Unlike you who lie to the hospital and say you will pay it back when
you know full well that you won’t even try to do so.

We have a place for the animals.
It is called SPCA, PETA, and the dog catcher.

Thats why I became a Democrat. Its part of the Democrat Mantra. You
didnt get the memo? Now I understand that you think I shoulkd have
slit my wrists and not cost the Government a cent, but Im still
looking for similar statements from you on the 25 million Illegal
Aliens in the US who have sucked the medical system to the bone..and
the 15 million Americans who are also on welfare.
Be happy I only got a bit out of the medical system. I could have
signed up for welfare and wouldnt be worried about food, water, power
and fuel.
Like the Democrats love me to have.

insurance are all bad people. Say...what sort of medical insurance do
you pay for each month?

Tsk tsk..but the Libs are hardly paying their own money. Libs seldom
do that. They simply take it from everyone around them...then spend it
on whatever buffoonery they choose. I should know..Im a Democrat these
days. If you pick on me..Ill have your ass covered with DNC lawyers.
And Ill pick your pockets clean. Tis the Democrat way.

So again you want to use taxpayer dollars to handle the problem.
Typical Democrap arnt you...pity
Gunner
Pisses me off how people treat animals. I keep telling my wife I like dogs
better than most humans, generally they are better company and more reliable.
Petey the pit bull last night was on the couch with my 6 yo. Just a lickin'
on her and having a grand time, Josie is squealing and giggling the whole
time. Yeah, real dangerous dogs absent idiot humans mistreating them.

I was taking a walk one lunchtime, when a nice looking Doberman came up to
me. I held out my hand, he sniffed a bit, we said "Hi", and he went on his
way.
There was a guy a couple of hundred yards down the sidewalk, and when I got
up to him he said "I can't believe what I saw. I called the cops because
that dog is completely insane. He just jumped through a picture window to
get out of the house!"
Other than the pro forma barking and growling that is part of a dog's job, I
can only think of one time where I thought things were going bad. The dog
was obviously feral, and was advancing on me with that low, almost
inaudible, growl that means business. I retreated and the situation was
diffused.
What bothers me are dogs that are visibly scared of me. Something bad has
happened to the that dog.
