MAINE Reminds the WORLD that the USA is still INFESTED
with Hateful & Ignorant BIGOTS! **SHAME** on Most of the USA!!

Today, the whole world was reminded that the USA is still a
repressive and BLIGHTED country! And that we are little better
than we were when our South was infested with the bigotry of
Jim Crow hate and segregation.

UNTIL that is corrected, the world should regard the USA
to be utterly WORTHLESS as a nation, and should have as LITTLE
to do with us as possible!

To the rest of the world: BOYCOTT us! If you have troops
in Afghanistan or Iraq, bring them home! Break off all trade with
us. Treat us as the PARIAH to the world that we truly ARE!!

Not at all; the voting figures speak for themselves. Queers argue
that because same-sex marriage doesn't affect anyone else, there
should be no opposition to it. But what queers fail to understand
is that their moral and legal demands do affect others, of course,
and the vast majority who could be bothered to vote has voted
against them and their demands. They demand tolerance but
give none in return to those who oppose them. They call them
hateful bigots and homophobes instead of actually tolerating
them the way they demand to be tolerated. Marriage is for men
and women, not queers.

The TRIVIALITY of gender composition is NO reason to be
HATEFUL to people.

And in ALL of THESE places, people KNOW that.

And the list is steadily and inexorably* growing:

( * RRR Cultists: Look up "inexorable." Take it to heart.)

 Netherlands (as of 2001)
 Belgium (2003)
 Massachusetts (2004)
 Canada (2005)
 Spain (2005)
 South Africa (2005)
 Norway (2008)
 Connecticut (2008)
 New York ** (2008)
...and getting very CLOSE in 2009.
 Iowa (2009)
 Vermont (2009)
 Sweden (2009)
 New Hampshire (2009)
 Washington, D.C.** (2009)
 New Jersey: PENDING in 2009
 Hungary: PENDING in 2009
 Albania: PENDING in 2009

Australia: 60% of Population now SUPPORTS it!
Britain: 61% of Population now SUPPORTS it!

** New York State, Rhode Island, Washington, D.C.,
France, and Israel now recognize gay marriages
for couples legally married outside of the
state/district/country.

Gender composition is IRRELEVANT. Expect this to be the case
in almost ALL of the world within a few more years, as its societies
continue to OUTGROW and REJECT mindless bigotries.

The bigots have *already* LOST, and the RATE of their loss
is accelerating. A few years from now, SSM will be legal in ALL
50 states, and people will look back at them and their agenda, and
both will very properly be recalled with the *same* DERISION that
we now hold for the Segregationists and *their* EXTINCT agenda.

No. Every state that was given the chance to vote voted against
them. You don't like it, but that's just tough. Get used to it.
Calling those who voted against it childish names is, well, childish
and shows that it is you who is bigoted and full of hate.

Explain it then. Since you're so smart, explain, exactly, in detail,
how two blokes down the block getting married will affect my 27 year
marriage to my wife.

Go on tough guy, explain it. No one else has, so let us see you,
explain what you claim.

Isn't it funny that when the liberal process of referendum backfires
on them they scream and cry like babies?

I'm sure if the referendum was about firearms and the voted to nullify
the 2nd amendment, liberals would be jumping for joy...

Leftists are always babbling on about 'democracy' and the 'will of the
people,' but are unwilling to accept democratic outcomes they disagree
with.

As for same-sex marriage being a constitutional right, the rampaging
mobs of Obama-bleating leftards that have seized control do not seem
particularly concerned about the Constitution when it hinders their
efforts to impose socialism on the American people.

"Because of their need for rebellion and for membership in a movement,
leftists or persons of similar psychological type are often attracted
to a rebellious or activist movement whose goals and membership are
not initially leftist. The resulting influx of leftish types can
easily turn a non-leftist movement into a leftist one, so that leftist
goals replace or distort the original goals of the movement."

CowChips !!! Maine knows like the rest of the Nation (incl. the
Homosexuals themselves) that perverted sex is and always has been
wrong, intrinsically. Maine is declaring that emotional healing
from the past should be sought for Homosexuality instead of condoning
it thru the blessing of Marriage . Its an emotionally-rooted problem
that many have gotton freed from , but it requires the person to put
his/her pride aside and to admit that it is not a proper or good
lifestyle . Only then can the healing and recovery take place. To try
and round up willing participants so you dont have to work on the
deviancy, is not admissable . Theres healing centers in every major
city of the world for the addiction to homosexuality .... people who
understand the addiction and who will lovingly help you on the right
path. , IF you want that .

Gawd Bless the USA. Eh?

Remember when the vast majority wouldn't allow wimmin or niggers to vote?
This very year we had a female presidential candidate, and we now have a

Do you see this as moving forward? Or do you still find wimmin and niggers
disgusting and loathsome?

In their fucked up minds they can be anything they want, but a decent
society has the right to draw the line at the absurd.

That's exactly what a queer marriage is, absurd.

You make the mistake of assuming that a vote against redefinition of
marriage makes a person a bigot.

Instead, why not get homosexuals to ask for what they claim to want: equal
treatment under the law. That is VERY easy to accomplish. Just get a New
Jersey style law passed granting the same rights to civil unions and
marriages. Such laws most certainly would pass in states where redefinition
of marriage failed by narrow margins.

If getting those equal rights isn't enough for homosexuals, and marriage
redefinition is continued as an issue.....homosexuals have something in
their agenda other than getting equal rights. Most likely it is an attempt
to use marriage redefinition as legislated acceptance, independent of the
equal rights issue. That approach is destined to be opposed by some
religions/groups. Bulldozing over those groups by legal methods isn't going
to change their minds either.

If one defines marriage to be between a man and a woman of the same
race, then opposing a change is indeed bigotry.

No. Marriage is marriage. It is the EXCLUSION of millions of people
from it, in an attempt to make it some sort of SPECIAL right for elitist
heterosexuals that the bigots want to preserve (and at which they will
ultimately fail).

NOT as easy as it SHOULD be, or their being hatefully EXCLUDED
from marriage in a host of BIGOTED states would be HISTORY by now.

Separate-but-equal is NO substitute, as the blacks knew 60 years

The failure is moving along nicely so far. Voters have rejected
butt-fucker marriage every single time it has been put in front
of them. Butt-fuckers can only get married in states where
politicians and lawyers subverted the will of the people.

In backwards places like Iowa, they didn't even get a chance to
dispute it.

And THAT is a very GOOD thing!! Since the courts are usually
'way ahead of the curve when it comes to according RIGHTS and
personal liberties to people. As the U.S. Supreme Court proved so
WELL with its EMACIPATIONS of girls and women, and then with
interracial couples, in "Roe vs. Wade" and "Loving vs. Virginia."

Thanks to fair-minded and EGALITARIAN COURT -- loathsome
and ignorant bigots like you will ALWAYS be LOSERS.

Iowa's Supreme Court voted UNANIMOUSLY for FAIRNESS.

This isn't true. The government is not stopping anybody from getting
married to someone from the opposite sex, gays or straights; this is a
fact.

Because gays "choose" to not marry does not make them any more
separate than people who choose to remain single.

Your logic fails because it's akin to an ice cream vendor offering
only free Vanilla ice cream. So those who only eat chocolate are
somehow discriminated against when they are free to accept vanilla?

For the record, I don't oppose gay marriage, but the logic used for it

Just like the government wasn't stopping anybody from getting married to
someone fro the same race. Bigotry is bigotry, no matter how hard you
try to hide your bigotry behind so-called biblical justifications.

Yes they were. Marriage between racial lines have occurred for
centuries.

They could because laws in many states don't recognize it. The logic
used by gays for marriage could also be used to marry a penguin, or
have tri-relationships accepted as marriage.

The real problem here is the people have allowed their government to
define marriage and require a license. Government is the problem.
There should be no benefit to marriage or a requirement to get
permission to marry.

People should be allowed to go to their church, judge, whoever, get
married without secular approval.

The race argument is bigotry since interracial marriage has been going
on for centuries. The religion argument I believe is a red herring
since I don't recall the US Government ever doing that.

Though I believe gays should be able to marry and suffer like the rest
of us, their cries of discrimination are false since the government
does not restrict them from getting married.

The government is treating each equally in this regard and not bending
to the preferences of one over the other.

To compare it to "civil rights" only diminishes that struggle.

A law would not work, since rights are inherent and not granted by the
government. What is needed is a Constitutional ruling that gays
possess the same rights as everyone else. This is not the same as
granting a new right, merely validating the existence of a right that
was formerly violated by the government.

The necessary Constitutional basis can be found in the 14th Amendment,
which says that no state shall deprive any person of the equal
protection of its laws.

The political left generally does not like the Constitutional
approach, however, since their worldview involves an all-powerful but
benevolent government that grants only those rights (really
privileges) they deem necessary. If the 14th Amendment were applied
in other cases, it might be interpreted as granting rights to groups
the left disapproves of, since states would not be allowed to
discriminate against them.

As for same-sex marriage, it is no more a constitutional right than
heterosexual marriage. Marriage is a religious concept, and the First
Amendment prohibits the government from interfering in religious
matters. Thus, the government has no business bestowing legal
recognition on ANY form of marriage. Two or more consenting adults of
any gender should be allowed to form personal relationships of their
choice without government permission. Abolishing the legal
recognition of marriage would solve the problem nicely, and be
entirely Constitutional.

In all of Usenet, I've never seen such a concentration of bitter,
stunted, self-deluded idiots as there is in here. You try to force
an assumption that overt racism is no different than having
reservations about same sex marriage. It is an abysmally pathetic
argument, it''s not working, and makes you look so stupid.that you
might as well concede.

The tradition of marriage evolved and comes down to us from ancient
times, being rooted in the fundamental human need for sex and
procreation. As old as it is, marriage is also bound up with religion
and cultural symbol, and has a deep meaning to the psyche of society
and to individuals that goes beyond the dictionary definition. To
listen to gays, you would think that there was a time homosexual and
lesbian marriage happened just as much as heterosexual marriage, then
some mean old rednecks got control of government and said, "No,
marriage is only for men and women. As for you same-sex couples, your
marriages don't exist anymore."

And now here you all are, trying to correct that imagined injustice.
This is in spite of the fact that marriage has always, unquestionably
been known as a union between the sexes. DOMA and the constitutions
of 30 some odd states are simply stating the obvious. They are
defending something so intuitively crystal clear that nobody ever had
to defend it before you current crop of geniuses start telling us how
horribly evil human society has always been because same-sex marriage
was non-existent.

BULLSHIT!

Your appalling ignorance and stupidity does not justify your
prejudices. The reality is that marriage has existed in almost every
form during human history. That you're so arrogant as to believe that
YOUR version of marriage is the only valid version says a lot about
your contempt for other people.

This country is not a religious dictatorship. If your argument is
that certain religions should have special governmental recognitiion
then "bigot" is indeed the work that should be used to describe you.

No they're not. Marriage between two of the same sex is a new issue.

Under your logic, it's discrimination for an individual to be

It is granting a new right, since they already have
the same rights as everyone else. They can do
the same things that heterosexuals can, including
getting married and just like heterosexuals, they
cannot marry the same sex. So anything else is
to add a new right.

Furthermore, I don't personally use the word "gay".
I refuse to let them hijack it in my discussions and
to call them "gay", is to claim that in order to be
happy, which is what the word really means, one
has to be a homosexual and furthermore, has to
be a homosexual male, since women aren't called
"gay", but "lesbian", which is why you see the
label, "gay and lesbian community".

And why is that "a community"? It is a community,
because they sleep with members of the same sex?

Have people lost their minds so much, that they will
actually tolerate people claiming to be in need of
laws, because they have sex with the same gender
and want to claim that's a "lifestyle"? Huh???

So if I have sex with monkeys, then I can claim that
it's an entire "lifestyle" and get special protections
under the law? Please! <chuckle>

Then the 14th Amendment isn't relevant. You can't
have it both ways. You can't bring in the Constitution
to make homosexual marriage legal and then say that
it's not relevant in the matter of marriage.

> Marriage is a religious concept

Actually, it's a legal concept and that's true even in
the Bible, right down to the agreement made and
the dowry. And that's why marriages performed by
civil servants and even ship captains are recognized.

Interestingly enough, in this country, a marriage from
another country may not be recognized, even a country
we like, like Italy for example, if you didn't apply for a
marriage license here, before flying over there, to have
your wedding in your home land.

And yet, as far as I know, for most people that move
here, who have never been here, their marriage is
automatically recognized. Unless of course, it was
performed by a chimp in drag or something. :)

Marriage is between a man and a woman. There is no exclusion for ANYONE.
You want to be married, find someone of the other sex and do it. If you
want homosexual sex, go ahead. You want a bundh of legal bindings with
someone of the same sex, the civil unions are right there for you.

Because the government never forbade marriage across religious lines.

A religion may have, but inter-religious marriages have been going on
for centuries.

They're asking for a "redefinition", not to be forbade of something
that was once common practice.

I bet you'll be unable to wrap your brain around that. That's why
your logic fails. It's nothing compared to civil rights. Gays are not
forced to sit in the back of a bus, or forbidden to eat in certain
places.

=== This is a RESOURCE POST that will be refreshed with

HEADS-UP to the REST of the World:
The USA is **INFESTED** with BIGOTS!!

When the majority of the voters in the State of Maine *proved*
their bigotry on November 3rd, that was a reminder of the fact that
dozens of other U.S states are every bit as bigoted. And the world's
MOST **ignorant** people are its hateful bigots. **SHAME** on
most of the USA!!

This serves as a reminder to the world that the USA is still a
repressive and BLIGHTED country!

Break off all trade with
us. If you plan tourism overseas, DON'T bring your Euros or other
currency HERE. There are OTHER interesting places in the world
to visit -- BETTER ones that have a far LOWER percentage of
hateful and mindless bigots!

Treat us -- the USA -- as the PARIAH to the world that we
truly still ARE!! REJECT this loathsome nation!

But he didn't indicate that it was a problem, and it has nothing to do
with the topic, so why did you bother to ask the question?

Why don't you tell us what your problem is. This should be
interesting. (Prediction: it will read something like this: "Well,
of COURSE it's wrong! Everyone knows it's wrong! Even in the
Bible... oops...") LOL

Women got the right to vote not all that long ago, which had
previously been forbidden, and which was once common practice.

In essence, the definition of "eligible to vote" was changed, as a
result. Previously it had meant only males. The "redefinition"
included females. Go figure.

Marriage is a civil institution. The right to marriage is a civil
one, rather than a religious one.

So what? A person who isn't forced into the back of the bus cannot
claim that his civil rights are being violated? Or does he need to
also be refused service in a restaurant?

You really have a very narrow view of things. You're looking at
particular behaviors (and laws) against a certain segment of society
and then claiming that THOSE are THE things that illustrate inequality
(and you suggest that if those things are not present, then inequality
doesn't exist). You seem to be unaware that different discriminated-
against groups will be discriminated against differently. And you
miss the larger picture entirely: that of equality.

No problem. Being married and belonging to the institution
of marriage is an important part of who I and my wife are.
Generally, it defines us to the community at large as a
heterosexual couple capable of having children. When the
community at large see our wedding rings they respect our
commitment to each other as being in a straight, normal
husband and wife marriage, not a bent, abnormal friendship.
And I want to keep it that way. I don't want queers using the
institution of marriage to which I belong to pass themselves
off as normal people doing what other normal people like
we do in a relationship. Unlike queers, my wife and I have
a normal sex life. We don't just wank each other off every
night like they have to do. Unlike queers, we have a family
of children we can genuinely call of our own. We don't rely
on taking in someone else's children and role-play at being
a family. Queers are not the same as normal people, and as
such they cannot expect to enter the same institution without
a great deal of resistance from the members of that institution.
Allowing them entry to it affects it and those who are
members of it by mischaracterising and redefining it to such
an extent that marriage becomes nothing more than just a mere
partnership between pals. People like you who want to
redefine it to allow queers obviously have a very poor idea
of what marriage is and most likely have a very poor marriage
because of it. Unlike you, I have a very strong and happy
marriage because my wife and I fully understand it and
appreciate it for what it is. There. Hope that helps.

No, there won't be. There will come a time when the queer gene
will be found in the foetus, and the heterosexual parents will
choose to get rid of it. That's the future, because queers can't
have kids of their own. Only normal couples can have kids, and
there will come a time when they can choose to abort that foetus
and try again for a normal child so that they can expect grand
children.

"Let's simplify: We're pro children," Palin told thousands of people who
attended a $30-a-ticket fundraiser for the Wisconsin Right to Life Education
Fund.

In a personal and passionate speech, Palin lauded the state's anti-abortion
movement for legislative advances achieved over time.

"We were told to sit down and shut up," Palin said. "Wisconsin, you went
rogue."

Palin spoke movingly of her youngest son, Trig, who has Down syndrome. She
recalled that when she was pregnant, she underwent an ultrasound and the
technician told her, "I see boy parts."

Later, the technician told her that the baby's neck "is a little bit
thicker," an indication that there might be an extra chromosome. A few days
later, Down syndrome was confirmed.

"I was scared," Palin said, adding that she asked her husband, Todd, "Why
us?" He responded, "Why not?"

"My family life is much richer thanks to this beautiful baby boy Trig,"
Palin said. "He is awesome."

It is a waste of time to RE-write the facts with which I
have already proven someone wrong, so I seldom engage

Let me know is someone ACTUALLY proves WRONG *any*

THAT will *change*, very SOON. The majority is almost
right at the tipping point to becoming egalitarian. And once
has happened, it is down the Drain of Extinction forevermore

The Inevitable Fate of Movements
of Intolerance in America

Society ALWAYS outgrows intolerant and hateful movements
that are mired in stupidity, and are supported by NO relevant
facts. ALWAYS. No exceptions! And our own history, here
in the USA, makes that very clear. Since 1865 ---

-- Slavery -- EXTINCT
-- Opposition to Women's Suffrage -- EXTINCT
-- Prohibition -- EXTINCT
-- Opposition to Birth-Control Pill -- EXTINCT
-- Segregation -- EXTINCT
-- Anti-Semitism -- ENDANGERED (Thankfully)
-- Anti-Choice (abortion) -- LAUGHINGSTOCK STATUS
-- Opposition to EQUAL Rights for Gays -- FADING FAST

Segregationists were a JOKE (i.e., "laughingstock status")
during the last few years before it became extinct. As opposition
to EQUAL rights for gays (with respect to housing, being parents,
marriage, and employment) continues to fade, the remaining
opponents first will become laughingstocks, and then that
hatefulness will end in extinction. constant consciousness-raising,
as is being assisted by the media in its sitcoms, talk shows, etc., is
very helpful.

The ludicrous and hateful actions and defense of sociopathic
agendas against individual liberties on the part of the adherents/
lemmings of the RRR Cult will soon lead to American society's
becoming EMBARRASSED to have those louts in their midst,
making our country a laughingstock in front of the entire world.
Even now, the process of their becoming FED UP with that is
building toward the critical mass that will trigger the *rejection*
of the RRR's **shameful** and worthless agendas. Before much
longer, society will reject those movements with all the force that
it brought to bear against segregation.

Historical precedents have CONSISTENTLY proven that
Americans **outgrow* movements of intolerance (such as ALL
of the above), and then REJECT them -- leaving them behind
FOREVER.

And *that* is EXTINCTION.

Very WELCOME extinction. As in, "Good riddance forever!"

Sure they can. At least half from one of the parents.

My, my. What a narrow little life you lead.

Really? What about those who cannot have children? OR are past
child bearing age and are still married? What does their *state* of
being married say to the community then?

When the
> community at large see our wedding rings they respect our

What if you don't wear rings? Should you be stoned?

as being in a straight, normal
> husband and wife marriage, not a bent, abnormal friendship.

How would anyone know, for any certainty, without asking you?
I mean, you *could* be married to others and be cheating. OR
you could be married to a member of the same sex who just isn't with
you at the time. OR, you could just be wearing rings for the heckuva
it. After all, there is NO law stating that unmarried people cannot
wear rings.

However, they are and they do. They care for each other, they
love each other, they raise children together, they do the laundry,
buy groceries, etc, just like you.

Unlike queers, my wife and I have
> a normal sex life. We don't just wank each other off every

What? Are you nuts?

Unlike queers, we have a family

So, in your world view, those who adopt children are just as
bad as gays in a relationship. Got it.

Queers are not the same as normal people, and as
> such they cannot expect to enter the same institution without

Resistance ONLY from the bigots among us. You seem to be one.

And if your marriage isn't that, I feel sorry for you.

People like you who want to

Such arrogance!

Unlike you, I have a very strong and happy

It certainly clarifies your narrowmindedness that's for sure.

You really are an idiot.

LOL!! That's what the segregationists aid about inter-
racial marriage.

Yeah. ONLY if they are SCHMUCKS like YOU!

One thing I don't think anyone will EVER see:

An intelligent BIGOT.

Bigotry and ignorance are symbiotic.

Mark provides an excellent EXAMPLE of that.

Yes, really.

>What about those who cannot have children? OR are past
>child bearing age and are still married? What does their *state* of
>being married say to the community then?

Of course there are married couples that can't have
children, and that's why I was careful to use the term
'generally' before explaining what marriage defines.
Do you read what's written before replying to it?

>> When the
>> community at large see our wedding rings they respect our
>> commitment to each other
>
>What if you don't wear rings? Should you be stoned?

Your sarcasm only shows your poor wits rather than
anything else.

>> as being in a straight, normal

>
>How would anyone know, for any certainty, without asking you?

You should've taken note of my use of the term 'generally'
before jumping in and making a fool of yourself.

>I mean, you *could* be married to others and be cheating.

Yes, but generally no.

>OR
>you could be married to a member of the same sex who just isn't with
>you at the time.

Yes, but generally no.

>OR, you could just be wearing rings for the heckuva it.

Yes, but generally no.

>After all, there is NO law stating that unmarried people cannot
>wear rings.

Yes, but 'generally', only married people wear a wedding
band on their marriage finger.

>> institution of marriage to which I belong to pass themselves
>> off as normal people doing what other normal people like

>
>However, they are and they do.

No, they do not. They can't fuck and produce children of
their own, and in that context they aren't normal.

>They care for each other, they love each other,

I love and care for my dog, but that doesn't allow me to
marry him.

>they raise children together,

Not their children, they don't. One or both might bring in
children from a previous normal relationship, but they can
never produce any of their own.

>they do the laundry,
>buy groceries, etc, just like you.
>
>> Unlike queers, my wife and I have

>What? Are you nuts?

No, I'm quite sane. It's an obvious fact that queers can't
make love in the normal way. All they can do is wank
each other off.

>> Unlike queers, we have a family
>> of children we can genuinely call of our own. We don't rely

Nope.

No, you haven't. People like you never do get it.

I knew it wouldn't take long for some halfwit to start calling
me a bigot after failing to argue my points successfully.

>> members of it by mischaracterising and redefining it to such

>
>And if your marriage isn't that, I feel sorry for you.

My marriage is much more than just a mere partnership
between pals, and I'm very glad of it, so there's no need
for you to feel sorry for me.

>> People like you who want to
>> redefine it to allow queers obviously have a very poor idea

>> because of it.
>
>Such arrogance!

No, an observation. You think marriage is nothing more
than just a mere partnership between pals, and if it isn't,
then you feel sorry for me and presumably anyone else
whose marriage is much more.

>> Unlike you, I have a very strong and happy
>> marriage because my wife and I fully understand it and

No, but your promotion of queer marriage shows your
narrow mindedness, that's for sure.
