Maybe you haven't noticed but everything the Dems try to do is blocked by
the repugs. In our system it takes more than a bare 50% majority to make
things happen. The majority party has to have sufficient votes to be
filibuster and veto proof. The Dems don't have that....YET! Stay tuned,

Actually, I suppose either of them COULD do something about the price.
They could tax it MORE to encourage more sensible and less wasteful use.
Maybe also introduce a tax credit for scrapping SUVs ?

The more the deficit is created, the more dollar is falling, you
have to make up for the difference for a devalued $$$; Arabic

I can't wait to visit Paris by Eurostar from the UK. Especially since the
new terminal is really near to me. It used to be where the commuter trains
arrived when I was at college in London. It's about 25 mins (plus a 10 min
walk) on a fast commuter line from here virtually to the door of the
Eurostar terminus in London. Then a 2h 20m or so ride to Paris. You could
easily make it a day out.
Now the plane can do the trip faster but ..... Getting to the airport, check
in, security, waiting in the lounge or shops, baggage reclaim .... half the
day's gone already !
