There are now more Africans in England than in many African countries
There are now more blacks in England than in some African countries, many of which are far larger than the UK. How far is England going to sink before the people wake up and turn on the politicians responsible? The Taliban weather bunker busters, stealth bombers and tomahawk cruise missiles and still they hold their ground, yet it seems all it... more »

Immigration is the plaything of the middle classes
Letter to the Telegraph 10 Nov. Sir, Mary Riddle (10 Nov) asks "Who else will staff hospitals and care homes, pick potatoes and sweep streets" if it is not immigrants. The answer is the same people who did them before, our own people. Immigrants take many of these jobs at present for various reasons.... more »

Overcrowded Britain. Not people but CARS. Why not double the price of petrol and make all public transport free?
OK, I drive.. I'd like to drive a lot less, particularly because I hate traffic and crowded roads. I love trains, my favourite method of transport besides sea and horse- why does, despite crowded roads, rail fails go up well above inflation??? No problem with private operators whatsoever. Couldn't the government decide what constitutes a fair... more »

Fort Hood shows what an emphatic grip political correctness has on the USA
"Telegraph Fort Hood gunman had told US military colleagues that infidels should have their throats cut . Who Controls the "British" Media?
The mass media form for us our image of the world and then tell us what to think about that image. Essentially everything we know—or think we know—about events outside our own neighborhood or circle of acquaintances comes to us via our daily newspaper, our weekly news magazine, our radio, or our television.... more »

The utterly predictable past, present and future of the war in Afghanistan
Note: This is all so terminally depressing because it is so predicable. It was obvious before they went into Afghanistan that they would get bogged down in a guerrilla situation in a country which is in reality no more than a geographical expression. The idea that it can be turned into a nation state let alone a liberal democracy is risible.... more »

Shameron's pledges on the EU are objectively bogus
David Cameron's pledges to pass laws to make further loss of sovereignty impossible without a referendum and to enshrine in British law the superiority of British law are naive at best and dishonest at worst. Unless Britain is given a written constitution which can only be changed by referenda, nothing will prevent a future government repealing any... more »
