Why should the gender of the victims matter? Would it make any
difference if they had taken young boys instead of girls into bed and
shagged them? You might be prejudiced about old men shagging boys
instead of girls, legally it makes no difference.

Ironically, if he had been jailed (for anything) it might have saved
his life. One theory in the papers is that he was getting too much
unnecessary medication. If he'd been in jail, this probably wouldn't
have happened, thereby not contributing to his early demise. Whether
he would have preferred that sort of existance is a different question.
