It appears, if I am interpreting those correctly that
the depository institutions are seeing a significant drop off
in non-borrowed reserves, while at the same time, they are
borrowing a lot of money from the Fed. This means that the public
is broke and have no savings or reserves and neither do many
public and private companies? It also means the depository
institutions have lost a lot of money in speculative
ventures such as the subprime mortgage debacle?

It would appear that institutions have lost a lot of their
reserves and are borrowing considerably more from the Fed.
Hence, people, public and private US companies have lost
a lot of their savings or assets as well and can no longer
save much. Seems pretty dire.

It's a good thing you don't live here else you would have to throw yourself
off a tall building in mid-town Manhattan, and we'd all be burdened with the
endless hours of news reporting of the damage you did to a taxi cab.
wrong again, but I'm sure u r used to that. saudi's increase oil
300,000 barrels a day thanks to the greatest president in history.
> Really? Obviously you can't read very well.
> Saudi Arabia Friday rebuffed President Bush's request to immediately pump more oil to lower record prices, saying it does not see enough demand to increase production.

Clearly that had nothing to do with Bush.

Thats a load of crap, they increased the output as a result of demand

And Iran is doing a longterm oil deal with the Chinese, in Euros.

Exactly. No wonder the GOP are so screwed when they have people
like that who feel Bush is "great". We could classify them as
idiots and institutionalize them. Probably save us money
long term.

Actually, I think the demand story is a crock of crap too. If U.S.
demand dropped 7% as some say, doesn't this make up for the Chinese
and Indians?
BTW, the Chinese control and subsidize the gas prices to its people
while the U.S. taxes the hell out of it. Guess who is getting
screwed?

Sorry, but Judith Miller finished the NYT and any utterances
from Jewish journalists for me. I will automatically
assume that they are filled with some truth, half-truth, outright
lies and Israeli propaganda and disinformation.
Israel is the prime beneficiary of any instability on her borders
and within her neighbouring states. So Hezbollah must be her secret
friend. Talk about false-flag operations.
Many of these operations have echoes of the old South African
Apartheid regimes destabilize the neighbours programs. On the surface
they looked like legitimate attempts by locals to change the
game, but when you looked into the funding it was all coming from
South Africa and the west. Which makes me wonder who Israel
might be covertly supplying arms and funds to out there to keep the
regional chaos going. HEZBOLLAH and FATAH??

Whats it really like to know that you will have only a ghostly
shadow of your former representation in Congress and the White

be reduced to being the party of the eccentric loony rightwing
