Yep, too little too late huh das Fisher? The great public works projects of
FDR that prolonged the depression were largest to gloss things over. Rather
like paying one man to dig a hole, and then paying another to fill it back
in. No wealth produced. Nothing accomplished.
Except to buy votes, and prolong the suffering of course. Bush has learned
well. What else is there to do? You should be satisfied.
Stephen Girard was a philanthropist who knew how to make a buck!!! He
didn't need to "buy votes" but saw the wisdom of keeping his workers
employed and having money move around.
Public Works programs can/do work. Slave labor works as well.
Gouging, and profiteering, by corporatists of das REICHIST
military/industrial complex, with profits going to the few at the peril
of us all, is not my idea of what a capitalist society should be. It
depends on what body politic motivates us. There's a difference
between Capitalism, State Capitalism, Corporatism, Communism,
Theocratism.
There is also a difference between leaders. Some are murderous,
corporatist, theocrats (who use religion as a tool/motivator), like das
Bush und das REICH of the Republican Party!!! (MVHO and thought of the
day)!!!-:)
