It is evident that we immigrants have a lot more faith in the greatest

Eh. Don't worry about it.

Let's suppose that Ramon is correct, that the uneducated dependent
population in places like Texas at some point becomes large enough there
and in other states that there's no way that a party that *doesn't*
simply support all handouts to the wastrels can get elected.

What happens?

Money just starts flowing out of the country. To me, "America" isn't as
much a place as it is an experiment in freedom. If the statists succeed
in killing off that experiment, one simply takes ones assets, slides
their passport under the door, and moves on to a place that *does*
reward free market initative. If the current situation, where nearly 50%
of the population is on a dole, and we keep borrowing money from our
kids to PAY for those doles (and a lot of other things, or course)
persists, it becomes morally impossible to stay here.

The list of places with greater freedom is here, and it grows every year
as the US sinks lower in ratings of economic freedom:

you wonder why your party its going the way of the Whigs.

The unemployment rate among the undocumented is very low, almost

Now you're telling me that I'll have to run from my country to escape the

I don't give a shit --- it's fact. The demographic that you're depending
on to "turn Texas blue" is one that has the highest dropout rate in the
galaxy. If somebody gets pissed because I said it (and YOU know it's

Meaning what? That employed high school dropouts working on cash or
minimum wage AREN'T on food stamps, and their kids AREN'T on CHIPS or
school free lunch programs?

Give it a rest and address the REST of the post, the IMPORTANT part

Like, a war with real fighting? The problem with that is that civil wars
lower standards of living for everyone, not just the losers.

Even if you win, your kids still lose. Sometimes you just gotta fold

Boy, you hate it when the truth is spoken out loud, don't you? The fact of
the matter is that you don't get the Hispanic vote by appealing to a sense
of civic duty or fiscal responsibility. No, you get the black and Hispanic
vote by promising them government goodies and wiping your ass on the rule of
law until the country collapses both fiscally and sociality, and that's
EXACTLY what you're doing to CA and not only that, you crow about it and
tell us that TX is next.

Again, where in the fuck do you plan on living after you've destroyed

Yes it did. They only way to get the third-world Latino vote is the same way
you get the Negro vote. You promise them goodies and to hell with any appeal
to any sense of civic duty or fiscal responsibility. If republicans played
that game the country would end twice as fast. The more you supposedly win

You're definition of America is not America. It's a third world impoverished
socialist nation ruled by men as opposed to the rule of law. That's why you
cheered when Hussein abolished congress and wiped his ass on the
constitution with his amnesty decree.

Why don't you go live in one of your bombed out shit holes instead of trying
to turn this country into one? There's no way to get through to you. You
don't have the intellectual capacity or morals. You don't understand America
and you have no idea what made it wealthy and great. You want to take a
nation founded on the rule of law and limited government and turn it into a
all powerful centralized government under the rule of man. You know, just
like you created all over the fucking world?

<snore>

Let me remind you of your original post, where you were spiking the
football for something you think might happen in a couple of decades in
Texas. If Texas goes blue, it will NOT be because of successful Hispanic
businesspeople, since (a) they will be vastly outnumbered by the
lower-income hispanic demographic, and (b) all businesspeople of color
vote less consistently for the Dims than their low-income kinfolk.

Here in Houston, we are very familiar and comfortable with successful
Hispanic entrepeneurs. Many of them are involved with the Tea Party and
Republican politics. There are no racial qualities that prevent
Hispanics from succeeding in a free market society, only sociological
ones, like the tendency of the low-income groups to assign a low value
to education.

If you support the redistribution of wealth on any scale other than that
of the basic safety net, then your claim to the above is a sham.

But, if you actually DO support those, why vote for Obama? He threw the
segment of the Dem party that supported free markets (the DLC) under the
bus.

The Dems of today are not the Dems of Clinton's time.

Let's repeat: If Texas becomes a state that is politically controlled by
the lowest income quintile, then it's not worth living in; and if the US
becomes a country that's politically controlled by the lowest income
quintile, it's not a country worth living it. I've lived in India (which
is a country controlled politically by the poor) and I know what it
looks like.

Under those circumstances, the country that people want desperately to
come to will be gone. Be careful what you wish for.

Therefore, I can't lose; either way I win. YOU, OTOH, can very much
lose, either way.

Waste your time however you like. I spent the first decade of my life
advocating for the effective education of Hispanic children; my masters
thesis was on the subject. If all that good work can be thrown under the
bus simply because I support jobs rather than welfare, then the place is
shot to hell anyway.

There is no handout that even comes close to the value of a job.

There are over 40 different variables; why individuals declare
bankruptcy isn't one of them. We get docked because of regulation,
obstacles to business startup, and tax system irregularities that
decrease efficiency.

The people who do well in business are the ones who accept individual
responsibility for themselves and not the ones who live off the government
dole, whether they are Latinos or not. But do you understand that they are
following the principles extolled and backed by the Republican oarty when
they do this? The socialist democrats would have them all on the government
dole if they had their way. It is a policy designed to destroy free
enterprise and individual entrepeneurship. How can you extoll the virtues of
starting and operating one's own business, and still call yourself a good

But the Republican Party supports those things. At least they do on paper.
If they don't always follow through, it's not because of their underlying
philosophy. More likely its because of corruption, but this is true of both
parties. They are both corrupted by money, which they use to buy votes.

U.S. Chamber of Commerce Statement on Comprehensive Immigration Reform

There is no question that the U.S. immigration system is broken. There
are an estimated 10-12 million undocumented migrants in the United
States, and deporting them would be the equivalent of removing the
population of the state of Ohio — not a realistic option. As a
country, we are facing an aging population and a severe shortage of
workers to fill essential jobs when U.S. workers are not available.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce recognizes that our immigration system is
broken. To fix it, a comprehensive approach is needed because it is
easier to enforce laws that make sense and are workable.

The Chamber supports legislative action that:

* Ensures that all workers enjoy the same labor law protections. Only
by bringing undocumented workers out of the shadows can we protect
them from unscrupulous employers who might exploit them, undermining
the vast majority of employers who pay a fair wage.

steal fr4om those who have to give tpo the bums. That is the way I was
raised by a very Republican father. Tell me where I have stated otherwide,
either on this forum or elsewhere. I worked and saved and invested in
Ameriucan business all of my life. I respect people who do that and don't
live off the government. In my experience the Larino community does exactly
that. They come here to have a better life, and they work like hell for it.
It's the hippie bums living down under the freeway underpasses that are
happy living off the government hand-outs. These are the ones I would like
to see shipped out to Mexico. (or anywhere else other than here) Why is this
a reversal of my Republican principles?

I guess there are 313 million racists in the USA, then.

(1) NOBODY supports open borders.
(2) NOBODY supports illegal immigration.
(3) NOBODY is asking for amnesty.
(4) NOBODY is offering for amnesty.

The narcos are adamantly against open borders, for they would cause
the price of their product to plummet.

Illegal immigrants -following a fine American tradition since 1776-
are against open borders.

the barrier behind him, closing the entrance while shouting to the

All I am getting is a free sticker: "I love Obamacare" - That's it.

See actual reason below...

One wonders: Which is the party where hatred is most concentrated and
distilled?

The only ones qualified to make a statement are the victims of
prejudice, persecution and racism themselves. Let's ask them, shall
we?

Here's their response:

- Black folks voted for Obama, by a 98% margin.
- Jewish folks voted for Obama, by a 75% margin.
- Hispanic folks voted for Obama, by a 66% margin.
- Asian folks voted for Obama, by a 63% margin.
- Gay folks voted for Obama, by an unknown margin.

And assuming that this is true, just how do you want to go about fixing the
problem? I wqant to stop the racist welfare programs and force the people to
assume responsibility for their own welfare. But I don't know how to do
this. I think a good start woulde be to eliminate the voting process and
pick our leaders by Lotto selection from the voting pblc. IOW, I think the
ability to buy votes by advertising in the same way you sell soap is the
root of the problem. As long as we can buy ads from Madison Avenue to get
elected, the corruption will grow and we will be run by a bunch of rich,
crooked lawyers. The only way to get our government back in the hands of the
people is to select them directly from those people.
y message is: Voting doesn't work. When the founding fathers conceived of
this democracy, only rich land owners could vote. They never thought that
the masses would be allowed to vote, and they couldn't (of course) conceive
of the vase TV ad network we have tody to buy those votes. It turns out that
that vase TV network is going to be the undoing of the democracy process.
Its killing us. I am just looking for some way out.

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH !!!!!! So, tell us. How long before Hussein
rides in on his white and "fixes" the "crisis" caused by the failing
of so many private insurance companies that are FORCED to insure
anybody with a pre-existing condition or never bothered to buy health
insurance until they were dieing with cancer? Dear Leader will FINALLY
get his cherished "single payer" plan.

Instead of destroying the best healthcare system on the planet why not
let the government provide insurance for those that are uninsurable??

Your apparent glee over the thought of dragging this nation down to
being the same low level third world shithole as Mexico demonstrates a
seriously fucked up mentality.
Your attitude of fuck everyone else, I'm gonna get mine is the same as
we see in the ghettos and slums across America. Guess that's the
environment you're used to.
But I really would like to see all of you idiots try to go have a life
in Canada. If all of the illegal and legal Mexicans alone were to
decide to go there it would effectively double their population. Good
luck trying to leech a living for around 40 million additional welfare
suckers in a nation of only 37 million. Canada would be bankrupt
within 6 months.

Depends on the specific issue. US business supports policies that are
best for US business, which is usually (but not always) what's best for
the nation either in the short or long terms. When they conflict, I tend
to look for balance which gives business what they NEED (as opposed to
what they WANT) and looks out for the best interests of the nation.

Churches have different agendas entirely.

Ludicrous, TV ads are free speech and nothing compared to an entire MSM that
is in the tank for one party. Without those ads republicans wouldn't even

know about that is what the left tells them. THAT is what is killing us,

No, these programs are fairly successful in delivering medical care.
The costs are rising faster than inflation and thus aren't sustainable,

No one really knows what will happen, but we've already got higher
premiums every year. Except in Massachusetts, which has Romneycare and
which just announced its second annual drop in premiums. And we already
have access rationing. The latter is just done by insurance company
bureaucrats. "Death panels" are just part of your fever dreams. The
ACA was written specifically so that no government agency makes medical
decisions.

You'll have to ask those who say such things. Contrary to your
objections, there are those that DO support open borders (although
they're very good at couching such positions), and they are funded by
well known leftist sources.

http://www.immigrantsolidarity.org/

Who support:

1. No to anti-immigrant legislation, police surveillance and the
criminalization of the immigrant communities.
2. No to militarization of the border.
3. No to the private prison, immigrant detention and deportation.
4. No to the guest worker program.
5. No to the NDAA.
6. Yes to a path to legalization without condition for undocumented
immigrants NOW.
7. Yes to speedy family reunification.
8. Yes to civil rights and humane immigration law.
9. Yes to labor rights and living wages for all workers.
10. Yes to the education and LGBTQ immigrant legislation.

Add that up, and you have a difference without distinction. The net
result is an open border.

Without people like us just how do you expect to leech off of the
taxpayer since there will end up being very few taxpayers left after
you're through with your destruction?
Most Americans? "Good people"? Bullshit. If you thought that way in

Before Obamacare a retired military veteran had to pay around $600 a
year in insurance premiums.
Now those same vets will see their premiums rise to over $2,200 a
year.
But assholes like "deadrat" and Ramon likely are in love with that
thought since they want the military disbanded completely.

Thanks to the fascist MSM / DNC cabal's invented "war on women" to cover for
the democrat's war on religious liberty.

So see? You celebrate the success of fascist lies, a war on religious
liberty and the rule of law and then wonder why everything you control turns
into total shit. It's because you are third-world and unfit to be an
American.

Thanks for the demonstration

Fact:

- All US businesses
- All US churches
- Rupert Murdoch and his gang

Are close allies, on immigration

From the ECONOMIC point of view, there is no possible discussion and
the issue is settled. The pro-immigrants win. Therefore, the only
reason to reject a Path to Legalization is RACISM (*).

(*) Another possible reason for the rejection would be an extreme law-

race. I am told such mythical animal exists ... have yet to meet the

If there is a couple dozen, they may be SAFELY ignored as the
political power they hold is ZERO. Listen to the Chambers, listen to
the Churches, listen to Bloomberg+Murdoch, listen to the White House.

Care to produce a cite that unequivocally supports open borders?

Note: Number (2) happens to be unconstitutional. No need to reject it:

2. No to militarization of the border.

The only problem I have is number 6:

(6) Yes to a path to legalization without condition for undocumented
immigrants NOW.

They must be on drugs or something. In any event, THIS is THE official

Hahahahaha!! Of course they are. Hussein himself did it when he abolished

he increased his popularity among Hispanics. He took the constitution and

Uh, Sparky? Insurance companies are salivating over the ACA rules. The
individual mandate will open up a huge market of healthy people to
insure, more than enough to cover people with pre-existing conditions.
Right now private insurers are faced with rising costs, which causes
them to raise premiums, which causes the healthy to gamble on not paying
for insurance, which shrinks their pool of insured to those more likely
to get sick, which raises their costs, .... Well, you get the idea. At
least you could, if you could think straight.

--------------------------------
From a Washington Post thread:

j3hess
3:09 PM CDT

If the immigration issue was only economic and the discussion was
rational, we would have had a fix back when president G.W. Bush
proposed it.

But the vitriol suggests this isn't an economic issue, it is a purity
issue. It is about dark-skinned unclean lower-class people sullying
our white middle-class society. (This is why Asians get to be white -
the ones who make it here these days are middle/professional/business
class.)

This is NOT to say that everyone concerned about immigration is
racist. But this is where a lot of the heat comes from. This is why
immigrants are accused of committing disproportional amounts of crime.
Since it is socially unacceptable to be outwardly racist, the springs
of residual racism find another outlet.

No it isn't. The way these programs have been set up to run has been the
major contributor to raising costs.

There is no incentive for anyone to shop price. Ever notice how procedures
not covered by any form of insurance like lasik surgery gets cheaper, better
and more available?

Oh, yes the hell we do. Just because you don't doesn't mean that the rest of
us are as stupid.

They'll be even higher thanks to all the new mandates.

Medicare denies more coverage than any private insurance company, and with
private insurance their is legal recourse. After full implementation of
Husseincare there will be none and you will be completely at the mercy of
government.

April 13, 2011 - The deficit-reduction plan unveiled by President Barack
Obama today strengthens a cost-control tool in healthcare reform that
organized medicine fears.

The savings mechanism is the Independent Payment Advisory Board (IPAB).
Under the Affordable Care Act (ACA), the IPAB will advise Congress on ways
to curb the per capita growth of Medicare spending if it exceeds growth-rate
targets set by the law.

If it does not implement IPAB recommendations, Congress must enact policies
that save just as much, or else let the Department of Health and Human
Services make the cuts.

Krugman explains:

"About that advisory board: We have to do something about health care costs,
which means that we have to find a way to start saying no. "

Hussein explains that Husseincare's cost cutting remedy is to deny seniors
vital procedures when deemed too old or unworthy.

Can't answer the question, can you shit-fer-brains? Try again. What would
happen to the price of food if we handled doling it out to the poor the same
way we do healthcare?

Hint: It would skyrocket.

Why? No one would shop price.

You don't understand how insurance or the economy works.

DNC tactic #24. When cornered, claim that conservatives are for no
government.

>> Thanks for your fuckwitted DNC talking point though.

The problem with Somalia is not lack of government, but the fact that it's
full of third-world morons like Hussein and his supporters, and if we stay
on the path they have put us on we will become Somalia. That's a fact.

Hussein is destroying our economy, the rule of law, and our civil society in
the exact same way tin horn dictators the world over come to power.
Appealing to base envy, class warfare and promises of wealth distribution.
Then of course, the people starve.
