In all fairness (a phrase that will escape the liberals), these are news
articles and opinion pieces printed in legitimate news vehicles. I just did
a quick search of the news and didn't find any disparaging writing about
Rush, either. You can't really compare these articles with the slimy
vitriol we find on this newsgroup. These are posted by post-pubescent
idiots with nothing better to do than make fun of people whose intellect
they will never comprehend, let alone achieve.
On the other hand, I don't recall even hearing about Clinton's hearing
loss, let alone hearing derisive crap coming from his usual gang of
detractors on this or any newsgroup. So you have a point.

most conservatives aren't hate mongers any more than most liberals
are. Rush, on the other hand, is a hate monger. When you've made your
millions by preaching hate and sneering at others you don't get much

Not exactly. Rush wasn't even on the air the week Vince Foster
was killed. He was over in Israel if I recall.
He did talk about a report that some news agency had put out
saying that Vince had been killed in an apartment used by Hillary. He
never said that Hillary had murdered him.

On his head, and yours too. You never heard about Clinton's hearing loss
because he didn't announce it to the press. Do you think there could be
a correlation between Clinton's hearing loss not being widely known and
its not being discussed on this group? Just MAYBE?
But I think Rush's hearing loss is much more severe. It's obviously

Actually, looking back I found several articles on the subject. Of
course, it's difficult to use a search engine to find them. When you type
in "Clinton" and "hearing," you get oh so many articles unrelated to his
hearing loss.

Maybe. I didn't say it wasn't widely known, I said I didn't recall
hearing about it.

Not obvious, but I noticed a problem with sibilants the other day. And
it could easily get worse. Of course, he does have a multimillion dollar
contract ($250M?), and can afford the best specialists. If he can't cure
the problem, he can have round the clock speech therapists. People who have
been deaf all their lives learn to speak normally, or close to it. Rush has
been speaking nonstop for the last twenty years or so. He just needs to get
used to not hearing his own voice.

Specific examples from Rush? Not any recent ones since I haven't
listened to him for awhile. When I first discovered him around 1995 he
kept saying that you had to listen to him for six months to really
understand what he was saying. I listened for six months and found
that I had pretty well understood him the first day. Unless he has
graphically changed his tune (doubtful) what he was all about was
attacking anything and everything not believed in by staunch
conservatives in order to get good ratings and high pay for Rush.
Perhaps you don't perceive his comments about feminists, ecologists,
the Clintons, Gore, and many others as hate speach. If so, I submit
that your definition of hate is a bit different from most peoples.
I never said, BTW, that other's don't use hate speach as well. One has
only to browse the newsgroups to realized that they do. What I said
was that Rush has made a career out of belittling others. He shouldn't
expect sympathy back from them. It comes with the territory.
