I think what happened is you did not understand the Chick-Fil-A story.
It was less a protest of homosexuals than it was a protest of a CEO
using his freedom of religion and freedom of speech to express his
thoughts and beliefs, only to be met with threats from elected
politicians who wish to retaliate against him for exercising his
Constitutional rights.
Obama is down in almost all categories including blacks from last
election. Those were the people who put him over the top. He lost a
lot of white votes, but is still down with all minority voters. Yes, he
still has a majority of them, but it looks like he will need all of them
to have any success against Romney.
The latest poll of "likely" voters shows Obama down two percent with
four percent undecided. Undecideds usually vote against an incumbent.
The campaign hasn't even started yet, and Obama is in the hole.
During his first term, Obama managed to set all kinds of new records.
He is the first Mulatto President, the highest debt President, the most
government dependent people President, the highest percentage of food
stamp recipients President, the only President to lose our three star
credit rating, the first President to receive the Noble Peace Prize for
doing absolutely nothing. But there is one more record he can set by
being reelected: He will be the first President since the great
depression ever to be reelected with unemployment higher than 7.5%.
