FROM THE WASHINGTON EXAMINER

HEAD: GOP forces vote on constitutionality of health bill
By: Susan Ferrechio
Chief Congressional Correspondent

The Senate on Wednesday will have to take an unplanned vote on whether the
Democratic health care proposal is constitutional.

Sens. Jim DeMint, R-S.C., and John Ensign, R-Nev., on Tuesday raised a point
of order against the legislation on behalf of a caucus of conservative
senators.

Ensign said the bill violates individual freedom of choice by requiring
people to purchase health insurance or be subjected to fines and penalties.

"Forcing every American to purchase a product is absolutely inconsistent
with our Constitution and the freedoms our Founding Fathers hoped to
protect, Senator DeMint said. "This is not at all like car insurance, you
can choose not to drive but Americans will have no choice whether to buy
government-approved insurance."

The Senate is planning a Christmas Eve vote on final passage of the bill.
There is no word yet on how the additional vote will impact the Democrats'
self-imposed deadline of passing the bill before Christmas.

Hoo-ray for Sens. Ensign and DeMint. Coming up: SCOTUS.

"If ObamaCare is so wonderful a prospect for America, why are the Dems in
Congress so anxious to pass it in Congress now? Why not wait until just
before the 2010 elections, and receive the thanks of a grateful nation's
voters?" (paraphrased)-- Dana Perino

Merry Christmas.

This is ludicrous. The courts decide judicial issues, not the

Nope, it's in the Senate's own rules; right now the entire Senate is
ludicrous with its crack ho's at a frat party mentality dining on the maggot
treat called ObamaCare.

Big, big difference between auto insurance and health insurance.

Merry Christmas.

Isn't John Ensign the same 'conservative' Republican senator from
Nevada who said Bill Clinton's marital infidelity made him unfit to
hold public office?

As I said previously, Republicans might have some credibility if they
were at least consistent in their stupidity.

I also voted for John Ensign back in 1994, and quickly realized what
an asshole he was when he wrapped himself in a bible and the American
flag and tried to take porn away from prisoners (persecuting the one
group that couldn't vote for him). So in 1998 I violated my
principles and voted for his Democrat opponent, Harry Reid, but only
because the alternative was so much worse. This is why I hate voting
for major parties, because it always makes me feel like I've been
raped.

Did he say that? Can you find a direct quote where he said that, without
leaving out his full statement on what he said? Besides, was it an issue of
marital infidelity, or was it an issue of having sex with someone who worked
for him? If some CEO of a company had sex with someone who worked for him,
would you say that was okay, or would you say he should be fired for doing
what he did do?

Hey, as infidelity goes Clinton was in a class all by himself, were not
talking 1 or 2
but dozens if not hundreds.
Someone who thinks with his dick that much does not have sound judgement!
Also, how many CEO's/School Principals... have been fired, sued,
prosecuted for doing
exactly that? Many, many, many of them so comment does hold some water
