# Is this supposed to be some kind of logical consequence?
Trying to get a host of people to agree on something is hard enough when
a camel is a horse designed by a committee; but Copenhagen!
It would have been a miracle if it succeeded.
And we can predict a similar outcome at Mexico City in a year's time.
Cut down the number of participants, and you might have a chance. Even
then, you have politicians deciding on science, and pollies always look for
the easiest compromise. Doing nothing in a grand manner, is the ideal.
Meanwhile, the Human Plague is chomping away at its ecology, and breeding
like mad. All urged on by the Profit-motive, Growth, Development, and
Progress. Action Man is good, Bludger is bad.
When Homo Sap goes over the cliff, he can proudly claim it was All His
Own Work - and who will deny it?
===============================
Here lies an Ape who was quite Mad,
He thought be was Immortal; sad.
So ye who read this Epitaph,
Pause, to weep, or, maybe, laugh.

Western nations have acheived zero population growth. Increases in
population are now coming from the lowest tier of developing countries;
as a nations people become better off, the need to produce numerous
offspring to insure the survival of at least one or two dissipates.

"Never tell people how to do things. Tell them what to do and let them
surprise you with their ingenuity."
Gen. George S. Patton
