Idiot. You can't have universal health care and exclude anyone so
make up your stupid liberal mind.
Just ignore him. NBF aka Horatio is an old narcissist with ADD.
It doesn't matter how many of your friends agree with your criminal
mouth, nor even how many conspire with you to commit larceny, it's still
larceny.
Surviving your theft is the real trick 99, of course. There's nothing
about you or your friends to indicate you can.
Just an observation from your Friendly Neighborhood Libertarian.

You are no libertarian. You are a plain ole nazi, only slightly more
human than Topaz.
IF they can pay for some drugs or treatment then -- YES sure
IF they can't pay the Bills because they are dirt poor -- then NO
And if the Dirt Poor can't Afford the Health Insurance Premiums, and they
can't get it thru their empl;oyer -- then NO
Should the affluent pay for health care?
YES definitely -- their own personal out of pocket costs and their Insurance
costs, OR be penalised via the Tax System for taking excessive risk of the
burden falling to the Government/Taxpayer.
Health care IS a Policy issue and a Federal Giovernment Law issue, and a Fed
Govt responsibility Budget Issue.
How that gets decided usually comes from a debate and discussion based upon
detailed knowledge and research and hard facts -- which then gets VOTED on
by the Politicians .. wiothin the Constituion.
People vote in the Politicians to ACT and VOTE in Congress on their
behalf -- like how simple is that?
Why these matters are SO not grasped by otherwise funticioning human beings
is well, beyond me.
or Die?

Don't kid yourself.
Sorry, you've made it nearly impossible for me to opt in, much less opt
out now...if you change the rules again.
You see, you've shaped the market with ludicrous regulations and
taxation. The only practical way to purchase health insurance these days
is though our employers.
"We" won't be opting in or opting out. It's up to our employers. Since
you tax our employers with the most progressive tax code in the
Industrial World, they'll undoubtedly opt in in order to save a buck or
two.
Isn't that what you wanted, all along?

You're not taking any steps to do so.

That's the system that already exists. You want to destroy it, so that
you can replace it with an identical system?
Oh yeah. Under the new system, "everybody pays" will actually mean
"everybody pays the government."
I see.

"Everybody pays" isn't the system that's being proposed.
The system that's being proposed is a giant Rube Goldberg--built only to
distract you from the collapse of Medicare--and the subsequent transfer
of all Medicare recipients to the new "Public Option."
You see, the reason "doing nothing isn't an option" is quite simple.
Doing nothing means that Medicare goes bankrupt. Out there in public,
where no one can miss it; where no one can pretend it's "running
surpluses."
If Medicare went bankrupt, as the trustees have been warning us for
years, then We the People would want to know why.
That's why doing nothing is not an option.

You're not a magician. You can't change the meaning of words just by
chanting your magic spells over them.
You're never gonna learn what you need to know until you begin to
understand words and their meanings.
Besides, you're the one who admitted he believes in the value of "might
makes right." You said so just a few posts above.
In addition to not being a magician, you're also not a baby in a
highchair: you can't have it both ways.
Quit pretending to yourself.
more people would be affluent without communism
and if dems want charity, just give cash to people, don't soak
everyone
dems have this problem with leaving people alone
expiring tax cut is raising taxes
deficit spending is creating taxes that bear interest as dem congress
did under reagan
capitalism works, just get out of the way!
why am I taxed on an investment if i have already paid taxes when I
got my paycheck? eg capital gains? makes no sense
and penalizes capital accumulation
why do we let fed photocopy money? same effect as if i did it, but I
goto jail for obvious reasons
fed will photocopy trillions more than obama has let them, and they
make deal with foriegn banks
a government agency making bills but without voter control very scary
why doesnt obama take some nasa people and make very good trains on
earth and take GM stuff which governmetn owns and sell cars?
if guna be good commy then at least try and produce with a
collectivist method, make real products
commies should take cash from thier wallet and give to bums
simple
leave rest alone

Whatever. By the dictionary, the word means "Derogatory term for a
person who is fanatically dedicated to, or seeks to control, some
activity, practice, etc." I have just added a practical elaboration
on the general meaning.

Your liberty has to be earned.
First, you need to discover what liberty is, and why it's worth earning.

No, you're diluting the meaning so much that the word doesn't mean
/anything/ anymore.
The problem with nazism is that it's so damn popular. It's popular with
farmers, industrialists, the working poor and middle classes. Everybody.

It's in the other thread:
I pointed out:
"Americans, in general, are a bloodthirsty, warlike people. And they
always have been."
And you replied:
"Without that bad attitude there would be no America."
That's either saying "might makes right," or it's saying "might made
America."
Which, of course, is the same thing. Unless you're proposing a
revolution.
Which, as you know, would be claiming "might makes right."
Unless you're proposing a "non-violent, voluntary revolution," which in
turn would mean you're not proposing a revolution at all.

The second meaning is correct. I was not approving nor disapproving,
just stating a historical fact.

No way.

Yes. But I don't approve of political revolutions, except against
foreign invaders or against truly insufferable domestic tyrants.

Right. No revolution. Like the Beatle's song on the subject. A whole
lot of people get killed and probably nothing is improved. Or like
the infamous Russian "revolution" where things got a lot worse after
the "revolution" (coup).

They were 20-something millionaires when they wrote that song.
Lennon may have been a Maoist, but only enough of one to ease his

Libertarians are irrelevant. Only two per cent of Americans are dumb
