i also call for the govt to investigate the vatican and all its
branches throughout the world for the sake of children in countries--
where to accuse the church is suicide or immediate expulsion from the
area.

If American Airlines were doing what the Catholic Church has done, at
an INSTUTIONAL LEVEL enable pedophiles to force themselves on children
we would not care if the lawsuits destroyed the airline.
The same would apply to a store chain, a summer camp, a physical
fitness chain, a bridge club...
I see no reason to give the Catholic church, or any other church,
immunity just because it has a long history, and its adherents refuse
to believe the crimes it has been convicted of.

Priestly Sex and Molestation Scandal----Dark Hour
My statement: I would remind Catholics (and non-Catholic Christian
allies) who are despairing over this dreadful scandal to recall that
all great reform movements in the Catholic Church followed times of
great immorality within its ranks (we Catholics being sinners and in
constant need of God's grace, mercy, and help, along with everyone
else). The terrible revelations now being exposed can potentially be a
huge wake-up call to reform seminaries, Catholic educational
institutions, and the priesthood from the inroads of theological
modernism, false psychological thinking, "political correctness,"
heterodox, compromised teaching on sexuality, and relativist,
non-traditional ethics and morality in general. Those scourges are the
ultimate and long-term cause of these tragic events, and no informed
Catholic that I know has ever denied that the Church (i.e., with regard
to the beliefs and behavior of many of its members, not in its
teachings) is suffering from a modernist crisis (see my web page,
Theological Liberalism and Modernism). I would note in passing that
the fashionable, wrongheaded, agenda-driven calls for a married or
female clergy have little to do with the current problem, and cannot
resolve it, since upwards of 90% of the sexually-abused were teenage
males. The problem obviously is something other than celibacy itself,
or Clintonian urges towards heterosexual promiscuity. Having believed
for a long time (based on historical hindsight) that spiritual and
ecclesiological revival is coming in the 21st century, I think this
unutterably tragic scandal can and will -- by God's grace and mass
repentance -- eventually be instrumental in leading to a great movement
for reform, orthodoxy, and revival (Romans 8:28). The laity will likely
play a large part in the coming revival, as they often have in the
past. For a single informative, insightful article on this subject
(and/or a good place to start learning about it), I highly recommend
Dark Hour, by my friend and fellow Catholic apologist and author, Mark
Shea.

Are you talking about me? I don't support NAMBLA. I don't believe
religion is the cause of ALL sexual depravity. I rail against the
institution of the church which harbours and enables pedophiles. I am
not claiming religion caused them to become predators, just that it
helped them prey on children.
"Mind products" refers to computer programs, brainstorming, problem
solutions, not psychoactive chemicals. Think logically, the mind
does not PRODUCE psychedelics.

The DSM-IV has not listed homosexuality as a disorder for decades.

I am angry and Reagan and Van der Zaalm, not God, Christians who
deliberately blocked sex education that would have warned me of the
danger of HIV. I got this way back in 1985. These men thought they
were doing God's work, helping him eliminate gays.
I am also angry with American politicians for doing all they could to
spread AIDS in Africa out of racist motives.

It used to be listed as a disease, it was only removed because of threats
from the homosexuals against the doctors.
Kind of like if we removed cancer of the list of being a serious problem to
ones health. Cancer still remains a problems to ones health, just as
