First I found his ISP he used for posting to the Usenet.
This is can sometimes be done using Google groups or a news poster.
In Google open message, click on more options, then click show original.
ISP will be listed as such:
X-Trace: news.eternal-september.org XXX.XXX.XXX.XX
Sometimes the ISP will be an encrypted alpha/numeric in which case it is not
traceable.
Many times a poster will use several news posters and one will eventually
have an ISP that is traceable.
In other news posters right click and click on properties to find the same
information under source.
Next do a search for "reverse ISP lookup" at Google, enter the ISP and you
will find the ISP server location.
For fargo116 the reverse ISP always showed he used Comcast located in
Denver,Colorado This tells us that he is in Colorado.
If poster brags about his blog or website to where he is also posting to,
then we have some more tools.
This did not apply to frago116 because he used blogs and blogs all trace to
the provider.
For websites go to domaintools.com and find the register and administrative
contact searching with the URL. That is how I nabbed Kevin A. Cannon.
For blogs go to the blog and read it, and read the complete profile.
For fargo116 he posted his cocksucker posts to his blog and posted the URL
address in his posts. Under this blog address under his profile there other
blogs listed, one being the Luddite blog. The Luddite blog gave much
information such as:
His wife worked in a lab on cell phone pictures and with photoshop.
He live in a small farming community.
He contacted a State Representative and named him This representative was
from district 4, Colorado in 2004, the date of the blog entry.
He gave his age in the profile as 53 in 2004.
He gave his name as Stephen Olson which collaborated with the s. Olson
following fargo116 posts at alt.impeach.bush.
He said he was on the shelf with a brain aneurysm for 4 years.
He mention driving into Fort Collins to an appliance store.
We now have him narrowed down to somewhere in District 4, near Fort Collins
in a small farming community.
Next we search "political districts Colorado" and find district 4. We next
search "Colorado Counties" and find the counties in District 4. County web
sites often have the property tax database online.
One county, Laminar, had this database. Next search the property database
for Olson, and bingo, up comes Stephen P. Olson with another name as a
property owner.
The other name must be his "wife" and it is a very unusual name.
Searched that name and found she was a photographer judge, she had 30 years
experience, making her about the same age as Stephen Olson, and she had not
attended a photographer's marketing seminar but they gave her name and
sponsor as AJAX Outdoor in Fort Collins, Co.
Next I searched on her last name and up pops this link to a Garden site with
names and addresses, email addresses and phone numbers listed. The email
address included doctormom which collaborated to a wife that would take care
of someone, like someone with a brain aneurysm. The address was the same as
the one in the property database.
Next, I did a reverse phone number lookup at white pages and bingo, up pops
Stephen P. Olson with the same address.
Next, I searched AJAX Outdoor and find they process cell phone images, the
same kind of thing Olson talked about in his Luddite blog when he talked
about his wife.
To find neighbors:
Go to Google Earth enter address and find adjacent street names.
Go to white pages and do a reverse address look up. Enter the streets,
city, and state and all the people on that street pop up.
Other methods:
Search wikipedia. Some people will make a profile of themselves there.
That was how I nabbed Peter J Ross in England.

In 2004 he said in his blog he was 53 so now he would be 58 or 59. Also,
his wife's email address of doctor...@yahoo.com would be appropriate for
a wife that had to take care of a person laid up with a brain aneurysm for 4
years. All the pieces fit.
