Watermellon, there's something wrong with your newsreader.
Your replies to posts keep on appearing as new threads, and it's quite
irritating.

I think that is to keep the thread at the bottom of the screen instead
of disappearing off the top.

Nothing wrong with that.

Maybe it's a problem at my end. But it's restarting a thread, rather than
showing up as a reply to another.

This is the post he was replying to if you didnt know.

This is just another example of white intolerance towards people who have
different ways of expressing themselves.

UK man arrested for protest over baby-eating show
04 January 2003

LONDON: A British man was arrested yesterday for daubing white paint on the
walls of a television network in protest against a show in which a Chinese
artist apparently ate a dead baby.

Martin Wyness, a 45-year-old father of two, told Reuters he had driven
through the night to London from the countryside to express his outrage at
the graphic documentary on Chinese art, which he had seen broadcast just
before midnight on Thursday.

The documentary, Beijing Swings, featured Chinese artist Zhu Yu, describing
him as "China's most notorious contemporary cannibal".

In one scene, Zhu showed off photographs of himself washing a stillborn baby
in a sink and putting its dismembered parts in his mouth as a work of
performance art.

"I've got a big brush, and white emulsion," Wyness said before his graffiti
protest. "Channel 4 told the nation that being disprectful is an art
happening, and so I am going to follow their lead."

A spokesman for London police said a 45-year-old man had been arrested on
suspicion of criminal damage after he was found painting graffiti on Channel
4's walls. He was still in custody.

A Channel 4 spokesman said it stood by its "intelligent, thought-provoking
film about the extreme art scene in China", although viewers' concerns would
be taken into account.

He said the station had received 50 complaints before the screening and 15
since. The programme carried warnings that viewers might be alarmed by its
content.

Zhu told Reuters in Beijing it was his duty as an artist to spark debate
about morality and art.

Britain's Broadcasting Standards Commission said it had received half a
dozen complaints by email overnight. It would request a copy of the tape and
put the issue to a panel although its power over programming was limited, a
spokesman said.

Will someone try to get to Bloodshesd and explain how to configure his
news reader. I started to write to him but the chicken doesn't use an
e-mail address.

Frank, I use Outlook Express most of the time. I didn't think I had any
configuring to do. Been on usenet for a good couple of years now...

Any idea what the problem is? I know the news-server I use isn't the most
reliable.
