Job type:
Permanent - 2 year initial contract, renewable thereafter
Salary:
Depending on experience
Working Days:
6 days a week total: 48 hours
Organisational Relationship:
Reports to: Design Office Manager
Responsible for: HVAC Services Design
Job Summary:
Responsible for the design, supervision and production of project
drawings and specifications for HVAC Services.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Design of hospital and other facility HVAC services.
Oversees production of project drawings and specifications.
Checks documents and drawings produced by the design engineers.
Coordination of HVAC services within the building and with all other
services.
Liaison with all other structural and services Engineers.
Education/Licensure:
Minimum of B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering from a accredited
institution of higher education.
Proffessional Experience (essential):
A minimum of 10 years progressive post-graduate experience in a design
office with some site experience.
Ability to prepare designs/drawings from initial concept to the
finished article. Knowledge of Microstation/AutoCAD design software.
Specialised Knowledge (desirable):
Experience in design of Hospital mechanical systems.
Knowledge of American Standards is desirable.
Experience in the following areas is also advantageous:
Residential
Office Buildings
Recreation Centres
