Job type:
Permanent - 2 year initial contract, renewable thereafter
Salary:
Depending on experience
Working Days:
6 days a week total: 48 hours
Organisational Relationship:
Reports to: Design Office Manager
Responsible for: Structural Design
Job Summary:
Responsible for the design, supervision and production of project
drawings and specifications for various Services.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Design of building and other structures.
Oversees production of project drawings and specifications.
Checks documents and drawings produced by the design engineers.
Liaison with all other architects and services Engineers.
Supervision of Structural Engineering department
Deputises for Design Office Manager in his absence
Education/Licensure:
Minimum of B.Sc. in Civil/Structural Engineering from an accredited
institution of higher education.
Proffessional Experience (essential):
A minimum of 10-12 years progressive post-graduate experience in a
design office with some site experience.
Ability to prepare designs/drawings from initial concept to the
finished article. Knowledge of Microstation/AutoCAD design softwre.
Specialised Knowledge (desirable):
Experience in the following areas is also advantageous:
Residential
Office Buildings
Recreation Centres
The ability to speak Arabic would also be advantage
