I'm trying to setup a WordPress host on my dedicated server. WordPress
requires PHP. I have installed PHP from the php.net site using the installer
(MIS) download. I chose IIS ISAPI module. PHP is not installed though, when
I run the recommended test.php program I just get the default "page not
found" webpage. Googleing "install php" yields mainly results for using
Apache, I am using IIS 6.0.

Does anyone have any complete instructions for setting up PHP, under these
circumstances and for this purpose (WordPress)? Even the PHP.net site has
very little detail.

Thanks!

At the hosting company where I currently work, we have IIS7/PHP and I can say
that 99% of all customers who installs WordPress/Joomla/Drupal switches to
Linux running Apache/PHP.

I would recommend you do the same, or at least run Apache, you will have a
better working setup that way.

Microsoft has quite little about how to install PHP on IIS also, but why not
complain there?
